  • THE MYSTERY OF THE NEPHILIM AND THE WAR FOR HUMANITY

    Text: Genesis 6:1-8

    > "There were Nephilim in the earth in those days... mighty men which were of old, men of renown." — Genesis 6:4

    Theme:

When God's Order Is Violated, Judgment Comes—But Grace Preserves the Righteous.

    ---

    Introduction

The story of the Nephilim is one of the most mysterious passages in Scripture. Many focus on who the Nephilim were, whether they were giants, fallen ones, or mighty warriors. Yet the central message of Genesis 6 is not the Nephilim themselves—it is the corruption of humanity and God's determination to preserve His redemptive plan.

The Nephilim are a sign that something had gone terribly wrong in the earth. God's divine order was being violated, wickedness was multiplying, and humanity was drifting further away from its Creator.

Today, we are living in a generation similar to the days of Noah. The battle is not merely physical; it is spiritual. It is a battle for the hearts, minds, and destinies of men.

    ---

    1. Every Great Fall Begins with a Departure from God's Order

    Genesis 6:2

    > "The sons of God saw the daughters of men... and they took them wives of all which they chose."

The first thing we see is a crossing of divine boundaries.

Throughout Scripture, Satan's strategy has always been to distort what God established.

In Eden, he challenged God's command.

Before the Flood, divine order was violated.

At Babel, men sought independence from God.

The enemy understands that disorder leads to destruction.

Whenever God's principles are abandoned, confusion and corruption follow.

Lesson: God's blessings flow where His order is honored.

    ---

    2. Corruption Always Spreads if Left Unchecked

    Genesis 6:5

    > "Every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

Notice that the problem was not just behavior—it was the heart.

Sin had become a culture. Wickedness had become normal. Darkness had become celebrated.

The same danger exists today when society calls evil good and good evil.

A person rarely falls suddenly. Corruption begins with compromise.

What starts as a thought becomes a desire. What becomes a desire becomes an action. What becomes an action becomes a habit. What becomes a habit becomes a destiny.

Lesson: Guard your heart because your future flows from it.

    ---

    3. God Sees What Men Ignore

    Genesis 6:12

    > "And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt."

People may overlook sin. Society may normalize rebellion. But God still sees.

    Nothing escapes His eyes.

He saw Cain before the murder.

He saw the corruption before the Flood.

He saw the pride of Babel.

    He sees our generation today.

    God's standards never change.

Lesson: Live for God's approval, not man's applause.

    ---

    4. Judgment Is Real, but Mercy Is Available

    Genesis 6:8

    > "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord."

This is one of the most beautiful verses in the Bible.

While judgment was approaching, grace was still available.

While the world was corrupt, Noah walked with God.

While others ignored God's voice, Noah listened.

God always preserves those who remain faithful to Him.

The Flood teaches us that judgment is certain, but grace is greater for those who trust God.

    ---

    5. Noah Points Us to Jesus Christ

The ark was God's provision for salvation.

Just as Noah entered the ark and was saved from judgment, we enter into salvation through Jesus Christ.

The ark had one door. Christ is the Door.

The ark protected from judgment. Christ delivers from wrath.

The ark carried Noah into a new world. Christ brings us into a new creation.

The ultimate answer to the corruption of Genesis 6 is not Noah—it is Jesus.

    ---

    Conclusion

The mystery of the Nephilim reminds us that there is a real spiritual battle surrounding humanity. Yet the greater message is this:

    Corruption may increase.

    Darkness may spread.

    Evil may seem powerful.

But God always preserves a remnant.

Noah stood when everyone else fell.

In this generation, God is still looking for men and women who will walk with Him, stand for truth, and remain faithful until the end.

The question is not, "Who were the Nephilim?"

The greater question is, "Will you be like Noah?"

    ---

    Altar Call

If you have drifted from God, today is the day to return.

The same God who extended grace to Noah is extending grace to you.

Come to Christ. Walk with God. Stand apart from corruption. And let your life become a testimony that God's grace is still available in a dark generation.

    > "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." (Genesis 6:8)

May you find that same grace today. Amen.

  • THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU

    Text: Luke 17:20-21

    > "And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."

    Introduction

The Pharisees were waiting for a visible kingdom. They expected a political revolution, military power, and a physical throne. However, Jesus revealed a mystery: the Kingdom of God first comes spiritually before it is manifested physically.

Many people are still looking for God in dramatic signs and outward displays, while neglecting the work He desires to do within them.

    1. The Kingdom of God Is Not an Earthly System

Jesus said, "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation."

God's Kingdom is different from the kingdoms of this world. It is not built by human strength, wealth, or political influence. It is a spiritual kingdom governed by the authority of God.

God's Kingdom advances through transformed hearts rather than military force.

    John 18:36

    > "My kingdom is not of this world."

    2. The King Was Already Among Them

The Pharisees were asking when the Kingdom would come, yet the King Himself was standing before them.

They were looking for an event and missed the Person.

Many today seek miracles, signs, and wonders but fail to pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ. When the King is present, the Kingdom is present.

    3. The Kingdom Begins Within

    Jesus declared:

    > "Behold, the kingdom of God is within you."

Before God changes nations, He changes hearts.

Before God transforms communities, He transforms individuals.

The Kingdom is established in the heart when Jesus is enthroned as Lord and Savior.

A heart ruled by Christ becomes a territory of God's Kingdom.

    4. Evidence of the Kingdom

The Kingdom is not merely words or religious activities.

    Romans 14:17

    > "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."

When God's Kingdom is active in a believer, there will be:

    Righteousness instead of sin.

    Peace instead of confusion.

    Joy instead of despair.

    Faith instead of fear.

    Obedience instead of rebellion.

    5. The Kingdom Must Be Manifested

Although the Kingdom begins within, it must be demonstrated outwardly.

A transformed heart should produce a transformed life.

The Kingdom should be visible in our speech, conduct, prayer life, character, and love for others.

    Matthew 6:33

    > "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

    Conclusion

The Pharisees looked outward and missed the Kingdom. Jesus taught that the Kingdom of God begins within. The greatest question is not whether you can see the Kingdom, but whether the Kingdom is ruling in your heart.

When Christ reigns in your heart, the Kingdom of God is present in your life.

    Prayer

Father, establish Your Kingdom within me. Let every area of my life come under Your authority. Remove every throne that competes with Christ in my heart. Fill me with righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Let Your Kingdom be manifested through my life for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen. :::

  • In many Christian circles, a soul tie refers to a deep emotional, spiritual, or relational bond between people. The term "soul tie" itself does not appear in the Bible, but the concept is often drawn from passages that speak about strong connections between individuals.
Biblical Examples of Healthy Soul Ties
    David and Jonathan
"The soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David..." (1 Samuel 18:1)
This was a godly covenant friendship marked by loyalty, love, and mutual encouragement.
    Marriage
"The two shall become one flesh." (Genesis 2:24)
Marriage creates a God-ordained bond between husband and wife.
    What Are "Soul-Tied Spirits"?
Some deliverance ministries teach that ungodly relationships, sexual sin, manipulation, abuse, occult involvement, or unhealthy emotional attachments can create spiritual bonds that continue to influence a person's thoughts, emotions, or behavior even after the relationship ends.
    Examples often include:
Obsessive attachment to a former partner
    Repeated unhealthy relationship patterns
    Emotional bondage and dependency
Difficulty moving on from past relationships
Persistent guilt, fear, or control connected to another person
While Scripture clearly teaches that sinful relationships can have lasting effects, Christians differ on whether these influences should be described as "soul-tied spirits."
    Signs of Unhealthy Soul Ties
Constantly thinking about a person in an unhealthy way
Difficulty letting go after a relationship has ended
    Emotional dependence on another person
Being controlled by another person's approval or rejection
    Repeating destructive relationship patterns
How to Break Ungodly Soul Ties
    Repent of any sin involved
    1 John 1:9
    Forgive those who hurt you
    Ephesians 4:31-32
    Renounce ungodly attachments in prayer
    Declare your freedom in Christ.
Fill your life with God's Word
    Romans 12:2
    Develop healthy godly relationships
    Hebrews 10:24-25
    Prayer
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent of every ungodly relationship and attachment. I forgive everyone who has hurt me and release them into Your hands. By the authority of Jesus Christ, I renounce every ungodly soul tie and every influence that is not from You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and restore my heart completely. In Jesus' name, Amen.
The most important biblical truth is that believers belong to Christ. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has authority over every bondage, and He is able to restore and heal every broken heart.
