So this past Wednesday, I went on a job interview that went very well. Please pray that God would grant me this job. It’s more money and less stress than my current job. Please pray for God’s grace and favor.

Hello Friends!

I seriously need your prayers right now. Pray for God to intervene on my mother’s behalf. And pray for my health, especially my dental health. I need dental work done, but I don’t have the funds for it. I’m employed, but money is tight. Pray for God’s provision, healing and help.

Has anyone ever wondered why there are hundreds (or even close to 1,000) denominations within Protestantism? Where is the unity Jesus prayed for His Church?

Being a Christian man in society can be so draining. And much of this stress can come from other Christians.

Today at work (on a break) I was listening to a podcast on YouTube. It featured an Orthodox priest discussing the need for brotherhood amongst Christian men. I agreed with much of what he was saying. However, he mentioned that men are supposed to bond together over an activity (preferably laborious) and not supposed to be sitting around, just talking and sharing feelings, because this is supposedly “effeminate.”

SERIOUSLY???

So guys are not allowed to sit and converse with one another? Nor talk about what’s on our heart unless we’re building a fence or laying concrete? WHO came up with these arbitrary rules on manhood?? No, I do not support effeminacy, as God condemns it. But the priest didn’t even give a clear definition of the word and he doesn’t seem to realize that all men aren’t the same and we (as humans) are complex.

I guess this is probably why I had such a hard time with male friendships in my teens and early twenties. I don’t necessarily adhere to several characteristics of “manhood” that our culture has established, such as enjoying sports. I’m almost 40, single with no kids so obviously no “fruitful and multiplying.” I feel like everything we do as men is scrutinized by both the religious and secular worlds. It’s EXHAUSTING! Sometimes I wish I could practice Christianity alone. Because people really make this spiritual journey difficult.

Saints, I would like to ask if you all can seriously be praying and even fasting for me and my family. My mother is going through a major situation and she needs God’s intervention and favor. My sister and niece also need prayer for protection, provision and grace. I am asking for as many people to pray as possible. Feel free to share this post with your churches, bible study groups, small groups and whatever ministries you’re involved in. Me and my family really need The Lord to intervene and move on our behalf. Thank you so much.

This place really seems to be a breath of fresh air. An oasis from the Hellish, worldly activity of Facebook and other social media platforms. A place where I can totally focus on God and meet other likeminded people. I’m so glad I found this place.
