- *The Lord Will Fight for You*
*Scripture*
> “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
— Exodus 14:14 (NKJV)
*Peace in the Battle*
The Israelites had just been freed from Egypt, but as they camped near the Red Sea, Pharaoh’s army came after them. With the sea before them and soldiers behind them, fear gripped their hearts. In their panic, they cried out, but God, through Moses, gave them this word of assurance:
> “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
*This verse reminds us that:*
God fights battles we cannot win on our own. When the enemy looks too strong, He steps in with His power.
Our role is trust, not panic. “Hold your peace” means stop striving, stop fearing, and rest in God’s ability.
Deliverance comes through God’s strength, not ours. Israel could not part the Red Sea, but God could—and He did.
Just like Israel, we face “Red Sea moments”—when there’s no way forward and danger closes in. In those times, God calls us to stillness, faith, and trust, while He does the fighting.
*Reflection Questions*
1. Where am I feeling trapped right now, like Israel at the Red Sea?
2. Am I trying to fight battles in my own strength that God wants me to surrender to Him?
3. How can I “hold my peace” and trust God to work on my behalf?
*Prayer*
Mighty God, thank You that You fight for me when I cannot fight for myself. Teach me to trust You in the face of fear and to rest in Your strength. Help me to hold my peace, knowing that You are faithful to deliver. In Jesus’ name, Amen.0 Comments 0 Shares 553 Views5
