*THE HOPE OF GLORY*

COLOSSIANS 1:19-29

_“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”_ (Col. 1:27).

It’s easy to focus on all of our problems. *Sickness can demand our attention. Family issues, stress at work, and a multitude of other things vie for our concentration every day*. Regardless of what’s happening to us in the natural, our spiritual condition never changes. *Once we’re born again, the Spirit of Christ comes, dwells in us (Rom. 8:9), and never leaves* (Heb. 13:5).

*Directing our thoughts to the indwelling presence of Christ is one of our strongest weapons against hopelessness, depression, fear, and unbelief.* As we become totally convinced that *Jesus is in us—in all of His power, love, and authority—how can anything or anyone prevail against us? “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”* (Ps. 118:6).

Most Christians have knowledge that Christ dwells in them, but it’s not an experiential knowledge that impacts them on a daily basis. In reality, what they see with their physical eyes seems more real to them than the unseen spiritual truths. Yet, the reality of Christ in us should overwhelm any and all of our physical problems. *The benefits of having God Almighty living in us are not automatic; we must appropriate those benefits by focusing our thoughts on Christ in us, instead of the problems around us*. The Lord wants to guide you into this new way of thinking. He wants to show you the riches of the glory of
this mystery. *Receive His help today by dwelling on the truth that Christ—in all His splendor—is in you today and every day. He will never leave you* (Matt. 28:20).

The Unseen War: Victory Through Prayer and Faith
​In a world that prizes physical strength and visible results, it is easy to forget that a Christian’s true battle isn’t fought with fists or harsh words.
Our real struggle isn’t against flesh and blood, but against spiritual darkness. This isn't a conflict won by a physical sword, but a victory secured through faith, prayer, and the living Word of God.

​When your mouth is filled with prayer and your heart is anchored in faith, the enemy loses his foothold. You aren't just "getting by"; you are standing your ground in a kingdom that cannot be shaken.

​The Blueprint for Spiritual Warfare
​Scripture provides the ultimate strategy for overcoming the schemes of the enemy. It reminds us that while the battle is real, the outcome has already been decided.
​Resistance: "Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7)
​Preparation: "Put on the full armor of God so you can stand against the schemes of the devil." (Ephesians 6:11)
​Steadfastness: "Stand firm in the faith against him." (1 Peter 5:9)
​The Promise: "The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet." (Romans 16:20)
​The Final Word: "Through His death, Christ destroyed the one who holds the power of death." (Hebrews 2:14)
​Lessons from Job: The Power of Intercession
​The life of Job serves as a powerful testament to spiritual endurance. Job lost everything—his wealth, his children, and his health. While his friends initially offered criticism instead of comfort, Job’s ultimate breakthrough didn't come when he defended himself, but when he turned outward in prayer.
​Job 42:10 tells us:
​"After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before."
​Job’s double blessing was tied to his intercession. Even in his deepest pain, he chose to pray for those who had hurt him. This act of spiritual maturity broke the chains of his season of suffering, proving that when we align our hearts with God's grace, heaven moves on our behalf.
​Your Greatest Weapon
​Prayer is not a sign of weakness; it is the believer’s greatest weapon.
​When you pray, heaven moves.
​When you call upon the Lord, darkness retreats.

​Every word spoken in faith becomes like a blazing sword, shattering chains of fear, sin, and oppression.

​You don’t need to prove your strength to the world. True victory is often invisible to human eyes because it happens in the spiritual realm where God fights for you. As you tread upon the "lion and the cobra" (Psalm 91:13), remember that the one in you is far greater than the one in the world.
​Stand firm. Pray without ceasing.
The victory is already yours.
​
