  • When Joshua stood near Jericho before a great battle, he looked up and saw a man standing before him with a drawn sword. Joshua asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” The man replied, “Neither… but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come” (Joshua 5:13–14). In that moment, Joshua realized that God Himself was in charge of the battle ahead.

Beloved, there are battles in life that feel too great for your strength—spiritual struggles, fears, opposition, and challenges that seem impossible to overcome. Yet you are not fighting alone. The Commander of heaven’s armies is still in control, and nothing takes Him by surprise.

Like Joshua, remember who is truly in charge. The same God who went before Israel goes before you today. When the Commander of the Lord’s army is leading, victory does not depend on human strength but on God’s power. Trust Him in every battle, for He knows the way, He controls the outcome, and He will fight for you. may you have a blessed evening

  • Be That Constant

    From: Charles Dean -

"That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God… Colossians 1:10."

There are some things you can just count on happening. When you are sleeping, and its night, you know the sun will rise tomorrow. As sure as you are of that, you know for certain that the sun will set and it will get dark.

You are positive, and rightly so, that after summer will come fall and after fall, winter and after winter, summer. Yes, some things you can count on. It just has to be.

But there are other things you can count on too that are even surer than those mentioned above. Jesus is coming back; the Bible says so. There are a Heaven and a Hell; the Bible says so. Each will be home to many. One, a home waited for and prayed for, a home for a reward and a blessing. The other, home to the disobedient and a home some don't believe exists.

Salvation isn't of works, lest any man should boast, but there are other things you can count on too. Every day, without question, when you go out in the community, be it work or school, there's a chance to do good or bad; to embrace evil or good; to do the will of Jesus or the will of the Lord of this world; to give in to sinful desires or to resist them.

Depending on where you call home is how you should respond. If you truly wish to call Heaven home, then do good, resist evil and do the will of Jesus. If you want Hell to be your home, then serve your evil desires. Then, as surely as it is that the sun will rise or the sun will set or the seasons will change when you die, you'll get the reward you chose.

Christians are to make a difference in this world. Therefore, let's be that constant that others look too; a thing to be compared with, as we compare ourselves to Jesus.

Let Jesus use us to be a never-changing constant in this world while there's time. The final season may not have arrived yet; the final sunrise may not have risen. There's still time to serve Jesus.
