This creature climbs a tree, attaches itself permanently, and gives its life so its offspring may live. For three days, her young feed on her body, and her crimson dye stains the wood. Jesus did the same: He clung to the cross, gave His life for us, and His blood stained the wood. The crimson worm exists for one purpose—sacrifice.
