Humility, a part of the essential characteristics of a believing child of God can never be overemphasised. Our LORD Jesus Himself during His life and earthly ministry was humility personified, and He taught on the importance of humility. 'Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.' (Luke 18:10-14 NKJV). You see, humility is foremost, in being, and then in deed. Your outward appearance may show you off as humble, but the contents of your heart is what determines your humility. And what you may not reckon with is that you may not be aware of it. But your ignorance does not shield you from the consequence, as you will have God's opposition against you to contend with. 'God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble.' (James 4:6 NIV). If you want to walk in God's favour today, then humble yourself before Him. It matters a whole lot. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE FRIDAY OCTOBER 9, 2026 FAITH AND ALLEGIANCE TO CHRIST A WORD FROM THE WORD: "And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me'" Mark 8:34 ESV This is a thoroughgoing call from our LORD and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and as His faithful disciples, we are to respond to and live out this radical call, no matter how difficult it might seem. If you are among the believers struggling with rejection and similar things from the society as a result of their faith in Christ Jesus, then you must endeavour to align your life with what you see revealed in the Word of God as the truth, and not what you feel, or see happening around, about and to you. This is a battle for your allegiance and faith, it's not about you, but about who you repose your faith in, even the LORD Jesus. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE THURSDAY OCTOBER 8, 2026 SACRIFICIAL SERVICE A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant." Matthew 20:26 NKJV Would you like to be a great leader? Then you don't have to look farther, the process is well spelt out in God's word; your service to God through others bestows this leadership to you, though not necessarily in the way the world perceives and sees it. This service to God through humanity is sustained by the heat from your daily fire-side chats with God, where you seek Him and His Invincible power to enable you serve acceptably and sacrificially. Whoever seeks God and His invincible power and faithfully follows all the way after Him can be said to be in the pursuit of becoming a servant-leader, such one cannot ever be disappointed in life. You may have the question, 'how do I redefine servant-leadership through the mirrors of sacrificial service?' This is realised by making your life to echo the LORD Jesus' model of leadership; which is; not by power, but through sacrificial service (Matthew 20:28), as you make your relationship with Him a primary importance, actively seeking to know Him better everyday, as chase after God by following Him wholeheartedly. When you walk and live in the humility of servant-leadership, God's blessings will definitely surround you, but you must be reminded that you're not serving God for His blessings, but for who He is, for the LORD Jesus, admonishes us to 'Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.' He did not consult the Baals but sought the God of his father and followed his commands rather than the practices of Israel." 2 Chronicles 17:3-4 NIV When Jehoshaphat took over the reigns of kingship after his father, Asa's death. He didn't make the mistakes of his father but rather, he sought the LORD God wholeheartedly and the LORD was with him. Jehoshaphat sent the priests and Levites to teach the people of Judah the way of the LORD. This was a great sign that he really desired to do the right thing under God and God gave him peace round about. Sometimes children take after the errors of their fathers but it's becoming a consistent yearning to see from these stories that the next generation does not continue the errors of their fathers. May this become real to you in your daily life and walk with the LORD, as you trust Him to help you nurture the godly seeds He has entrusted to your custody. THE PIPILGRIMS GUIDE TUESDAY OCTOBER 6, 2026 GOD'S IMMESURABLE LOVE A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV. Paul, the apostle, is here, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit reminding us of the nature of God's incredible power and immeasurable love for us. His love for us is in no way limited by our expectations or limited understanding. He has the ability and capacity to do exceedingly and immeasurably above all that we ask or think. When you take a moment to reflect on, and consider how He has exceeded your expectations in the past, endeavour also to ask Him to expand your understanding of His love for you. Take a cursory note of how God's love has exceeded your personal expectations in the past. You may want to write down some of these instances as a reminder of His faithfulness, and a source of encouragement for the future. His immeasurable love for us is not in any doubt whatsoever. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it.'" 1 Samuel 17:34-35 NIV. The wilderness was a training ground for David. It was in the wilderness that David got exposed to mortal dangers, there he learnt how to slay lions and bears also. It was there in the wilderness that David learnt to defend the sheep in his care; it was in the wilderness that David had his primary training as a man of war; it was in the same wilderness that David caught the revelation that birthed the famous Psalm 23. The wilderness may have been uncomfortable and seemingly disadvantageous, nevertheless and more importantly, it was David’s training ground for his encounter with, and eventual triumph over Goliath, the Phillistines' champion. The wilderness (of life) is a training ground for the individual Christian. It comes in diverse ways for God's children, uniquely designed by Heaven to meet you at the point of your specific requirements/needs. You may not like yours, but the life lessons you learn there will propel you to and sustain you on the top. The lessons from your wilderness experience will become useful whenever any Goliath of life shows up. The precepts of your wilderness experience will give you an advantage over those who have only known and operated from the comfort zone. Your wilderness experience will make you stronger, endue you with tenacity and singularity of purpose, it will make and not mar you. Those around (including those who know) you, but do not understand God's dealings with you in your 'wilderness' might think it is a punishment or sign of rejection; but for those who understand, it is your training ground, a place of preparation for triumph after the trials. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SUNDAY OCTOBER 4, 2026 FAITHFULNESS IN AN AGE OF COMPROMISE A WORD FROM THE WORD:  "The Recabites do not drink wine to this day because their ancestor Jehonadab told them not to. But I have spoken to you again and again, and you refuse to obey" "Time after time I sent you prophets, who told you, 'Turn from your wicked ways, and start doing things right. Stop worshiping other gods so that you might live in peace here in the land I have given to you and your ancestors.' But you would not listen to me or obey me. The descendants of Jehonadab son of Recab have obeyed their ancestor completely, but you have refused to listen to me." Jeremiah 35:14-16 NLT. The Recabites, from the context of our foundational Scripture are good examples of people that walk into eternal blessings by living a separated life. The demands of God upon your life places emphasis on separation from the evil world system and its attractions, from sin and its temporary pleasures, and from every aspect, and form of ungodliness. The secret of separation as we see in the Recabites is obedience. Obedience to God and His Word is the hallmark of a true Christian life. You must endeavour to be on the lookout from today onward and never allow the enemy of your soul to affect your separation. Imagine God sending a great and 'unwavering and no nonsense' prophet like Jeremiah to test the Recabites. In our generation, most people would lose their consecration if a 'Jeremiah' was sent to test them. Choose to obey God's Word and His instructions, knowing that separation and consecration will bring you the blessings of eternal fellowship and friendship with God. Only by a spirit like that of the Recabites can a man live a righteous life in this present decadent and corrupt generation we live in. The Recabites' spirit is the spirit of commitment to a cause, which was evident in their resolve not to take strong drink, and God was pleased with them. God will be pleased to see the same uncompromising spirit of righteousness in your daily life today, no matter what others do. One of the greatest problems of our generation actually is the problem of compromise and lack of courage to do the right thing at all times. But if the Recabites could do it at a time before the release of the Holy Spirit's power, I believe that with God and the power of the Holy Spirit within you, you too can live a life of separation and consecration. There are doors in life that only God can open. When He opens them, no power in heaven or earth can shut them. Divine breakthroughs, connections and opportunities come to men by the reason of His Sovereignty, and not by human endeavours or orchestration. You may have been faced with seasons where every door seemed to close against you. But hey! You may have discovered also that when God steps in, one divine open door can reverse several years of struggle. The mighty hand of God opens doors that no enemy can shut and closes doors that would have led you to anguish, regrets, danger or even total destruction. Trust God’s timing. The door He opens will not just let you in, beyond that, and according to His will and ordination, it will announce your arrival. What seemed delayed is only being prepared. You're entrusted with the responsibility to remain faithful, prayerful, and be on the lookout for God's next move. If you feel frustrated by closed doors, seek God's face to open the right one instead of forcing them open; when God opens a door, His door leads to peace, favor, and lasting success. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE FRIDAY OCTOBER 2, 2026 FAITH IN GOD'S WORD AND PROMISES A WORD FROM THE WORD:  "Then Elisha said, 'Hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the LORD: Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, 'Look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?' And he said, 'In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.'" 2 Kings 7:1-2 NKJV. The simplest and easiest way to limit God in your life and service as a child of God is to intentionally doubt His capacity and capability. The King's official in the context of our foundational Scripture never gave God the slightest chance of capacity in his life and service to the kingdom, and that prompted the prophecy that sealed his doom 'In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.' (v 2). When the LORD Jesus went to His hometown, He could not perform any miracle (as it were), because the people knew Him, and that gave rise to them doubting His capability. He had lived among them, and they believed that they knew everything about Him. Thus, they intentionally (stemming from familiarity and doubt) denied themselves miracles that were meant for them. Guarding against allowing familiarity with God's work or His servants to diminish faith is very vital and important. Trusting God's spoken Word, even when situations and circumstances appears contrary or impossible cannot be overemphasised. Nothing is too difficult for, or impossible with God, therefore, we should not allow human reasoning to limit Him. PRAYER BULLETS: Father LORD, I'm very grateful for the help from Your Word. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!" Revelation 3:15-16 NLT. How thirsty are you for God compared to worldly pursuits and desires? Emptiness in spiritual things will lead to emptiness in all other things. But when you find God, you will find every other thing you are looking for. A genuine longing for God's presence in one's life is the pathway to true satisfaction, and deals with the spiritual emptiness that often results from temporary fulfilment as offered by the evil world system. No amount of earthly accomplishment, pleasures, and possessions can satisfy the deepest needs of a living soul, apart from God. Choosing the LORD Jesus leads to eternal life, and lasting fulfilment, while on the other hand, rejecting Him results in spiritual loss and eternal damnation. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30, 2026 FROM BETRAYAL TO RESTORATION A WORD FROM THE WORD: "He rescues me unharmed from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me." Psalm 55:18 NIV David here in Psalm was grappling with the betrayal of a close friend. He was not betrayed by just any close friend, but by someone 'with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship at the house of God, as we walked about among the worshipers.' (verse14). It is an extremely emotional and painful experience to have someone whom you put your trust on break that trust and turn against you. It is even more painful when it is one of your brothers or sisters in Christ who breaks this trust. But how did David deal with the situation? He dealt with the emotionally painful experience by total reliance on God and His ever-present help. A good road to recovery from betrayals and such negative experiences is to wholeheartedly align your ways to God's will. Our anchor Scripture says 'He rescues me unharmed from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me.' (verse 18). Whatever the situation might be, God, your Father, is ever-present and ready to rescue you. All you need to do is to: 1). Depend On Him. Depending on God avails more than physical might and all the connections you can ever get. When you put your trust in, and fully depend on God, you can go to sleep with your two eyes closed. He does not fail anyone who trusts in Him. 2). Be Submissive. Submissiveness to God through His Word cannot be overemphasised, as a child of God you cannot go far with Him without obedient submission to His authority and commands. One of the hallmarks of faith is obedient submission. And as powerful as prayer is, when submission to God's will, commands and authority are taken out of it, it becomes a religious ritual. These are some of the approaches to having God rescue you from dire situations, and help you recover from the pains and effects of betrayals, and the likes. It must be noted that He can rescue you in His All-knowingness and love, but He definitely has requirements. Isaiah 48:10 NIV. Whenever you find yourself walking and working in agreement with the dictates and demands of Heaven upon your life, even though it contradicts the 'acceptable norms' don't panic or begin to think that something is wrong with you; instead you should begin to ask God for more of His grace to continue to make the difference for Him by living the purposeful and acceptable life He has ordained for you. Be mindful always that 'others may, but you cannot.' These things would surely come to you in one way or the other to help your training in righteousness and holiness, thereby making you the perfect person God purposed for you. Take it or leave it, these are some of God's furnaces of affliction for your refining and character purification. In order for you to amount to anything in God's hand, you must go through such and come out unscathed. Know this, God does not use any man/woman He has not trained. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE   MONDAY SEPTEMBER 28, 2026   THE DEPTH AND DIMENSIONS OF GOD'S LOVE   A WORD FROM THE WORD:   "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 NKJV.    From the context of our foundational Scripture we have this overwhelming assurance that there's nothing that can 'separate us from the love of God..' (Romans 8:39), just as the Holy Spirit highlights through Paul the apostle's epistle to the churches in Ephesus, and to us by extension, the immeasurable love of God that surpasses our expectations (Ephesians 3:20). Here's a few take aways for you; 1). God's love is not based on our performance or worthiness, 2). God's love is unwavering.  Take out a few moments and meditate on the depth of God's love for you and allow it to surpass your expectations of what love can actually be.  You can also cause another to experience this inseparable and unwavering love of God through you by choosing someone in your life who needs God's love; reach out to them with a gesture of love and kindness; and let your action exceed their expectations and point them to the unconditional love of God.    PRAYER BULLETS:   LORD Jesus, thank You for Your unwavering love. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 27, 2026 THE HEART OF CHRISTIAN LOVE A WORD FROM THE WORD: "My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." John 15:12 NIV. From the context of our foundational Scripture, it becomes glaring clear that there is a subsisting command from our LORD Jesus to love one another just as He has exemplified with His love for us. From the LORD Jesus' example we have come to know and understand the vices genuine Christian love should never have: be possessive, stifling and demanding, robbing the loved one of freedom. Love that is controlling is utterly counter productive. True love is releasing and communicates joy. It’s not for you to feel wanted or needed. There is still room for love in your heart, fill it up for the benefits of others and glory of God. This is at the heart of Christian love, and its truest essence. Hebrews 11:1 NKJV. The writer of the book of Hebrews by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit defines faith as being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1).When you apply this to Paul the apostle's encouragement to you to have an expectation of God's exceeding abundance (Ephesians 3:20), then you are within the confines of living a life of faith, that is - trusting in God's promises. Make a contemplative reflection on how you can cultivate a life of faith that goes beyond your own expectations and trusts in God's promises. Choose one area of your life where you want to increase your faith and elevate your expectations; surrender it to God, and make a commitment to approach it with faith-filled expectation, trusting that God will exceed what you can ask or imagine. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 25, 2026 GODLY BURDEN AND COMPASSION FOR GOD'S WORK A WORD FROM THE WORD: "But now I said to them, 'You know very well what trouble we are in. Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire. Let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem and end this disgrace!' Then I told them about how the gracious hand of God had been on me, and about my conversation with the king. They replied at once, 'Yes, let’s rebuild the wall!' So they began the good work." Nehemiah 2:17-18 NLT. Nehemiah was in exile, a cupbearer to King Artaxerxes, yet he had Godly concern for the city of Jerusalem and the remnant of God's people therein. When he was informed about its broken walls, he wept, fasted and prayed to God, and then sought permission from the king to return home to rebuild the walls. Nehemiah had a privileged position as the king's cupbearer and should have stayed back if he'd wanted, but the burden of the city of Jerusalem would not allow him. There was evident coldheartedness among the Jews who returned with Nehemiah for the purpose of the rebuilding of the fallen walls, but it took the determination and Godly virtues in him to counter the spiritual lethargy and indifference toward God and motivate the people to rebuild the walls. You may have a broken wall or the other to rebuild, it could be spiritually, materially, financially, maritally, in business, politically or otherwise; you should take a cue from Nehemiah's virtues and trust God to grant you victory. He will never forsake you as He is always in the business of restoring and rebuilding the broken walls in the lives of His people. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 24, 2026 THE RIGHT ATTITUDE IN PRAYER A WORD FROM THE WORD: "And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 'Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.'" Matthew 6:7-8 NKJV. Prayer is communication with God not a repetitive incantation. God is not a deity nor is He hard of hearing that you need to repeat words before He hears as the heathen do, nor a deity who accepts babbling and mindless repetitions. Make your request to God in secret and don't exhibit excessive religiosity while praying to God, He is the silent listener to every conversation which means while your prayers are still in your heart, He already knows what you want to ask for. You're not prevented from praying publicly either. Paul, the apostle, by the Holy Spirit's inspiration admonishes that men pray publicly and lift their holy hands up (1 Timothy 2:7-8). But you should not be controlled by pride while praying publicly. One important principle you must observe when praying is forgiveness, this is very vital and important. No matter how you have been wronged or wounded in your heart, the ability to forgive your enemy is a veritable right attitude, and grants you access into God's presence, and answered prayers. If you refused to forgive you are telling God not to answer your prayers. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 23, 2026 THE PURSUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS A WORD FROM THE WORD: "You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness......" (Hebrews 1:9). To love righteousness, one must first endeavour to understand what righteousness is. Loving righteousness is not about dovetailing others in their understanding and definition of it or doing what the people around us tells us is important, but giving God the honour to define loving righteousness for us through His word. Let us consider the following verse: 'And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.' (Romans 12:2 NKJV). To love righteousness genuinely and in all sincerity, we must trust God's commandments and do our best possible to follow and live by them. Loving righteousness means obeying God’s commandments ahead of our own feelings. King Solomon, by the Holy Spirit's inspiration admonishes us here, 'There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.' (Proverbs 14:12. NKJV) Putting it quite simply, loving righteousness means obeying God’s commandments. Our LORD Jesus is saying to us: 'If you love me, you will keep my commandments.' (John 14:15 ESV). Genesis 8:22 KJV What a composite picture of our great God and Sustainer. These are some of God's unbroken promises to us. He made us these promises centuries ago. We see His greatness and power in keeping the earth's pivot turning perfectly, and so we have the seasons every year. We behold His quality of being trustworthy and reliability in sustaining His creation that, year after year, seasons come and go, giving us sun, rainfall, cold, heat, and food in different time zones of the earth. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 20, 2026 THE POWER OF GODLY VISION AND VALUES A WORD FROM THE WORD: "And the LORD said to Abram, ......: 'Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.'" Genesis 13:15, NKJV. What you set your focus on, you begin to value. Abram had his focus set on the big picture - his walk with God and not the ephemeral things and mundane distractions. He did not forget his primary encounter with, and subsequent instructions and promises from God. The immediate effect of Abram's value and focus was his prophetic upgrade from Abram to Abraham by God, this is a complete contrast with Lot who couldn’t get past what his eyes saw. This is how the writer of the book of Hebrews put it: "By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going." (Hebrews 11:8 ESV). Abraham lived by (the eyes of) faith, Lot lived by (physical) sight. It’s so dangerous to simply live by sight, this is because the eyes are deceptive, and you'll begin to value whatever you set your eyes on. So, like Abraham, the great father of faith, you need to be careful about your choice and values of what to, and how to see. Whatever you put in front of your eyes, for better or for worse, that’s what you begin to value. So be on guard. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 20, 2026 CHOSEN FOR A PURPOSE A WORD FROM THE WORD: "He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love," Ephesians 1:4 NKJV God's plans for your salvation was not in reaction to anything, neither was it accidental in any way. It was predicated on eternity and that gives you a depth of guarantee and identity in His eternal love. God's plans consist of things that are in alignment with His character and purpose 'according to the counsel of His will.' (v 11). When you, as a true child of God ignore His ways, it's an express ticket to be miserable, but when you do things His way, you're in for the experience of 'joy inexpressible and full of glory' (1 Peter 1:8 NKJV). You may ignorantly say you don't know God's will for your life, that's not much of a problem. Your sure bet is to recourse to God and beseech Him to reveal to you His will and purpose for you so that you may bring Him pleasure, which is one of His purposes for creating you (Revelation 4:11). You must come to the knowledge and understanding of the truthful fact that God has a specific job for which He created you; endeavour to discover it and the path He has chosen for you to walk in getting the job done. Seek His grace to enable you refrain from ignoring and minimising the talents and gifts He has endowed you with, and help you by His Spirit to, like His Son, the LORD Jesus, bring glory to Him by doing all He asked you to (John 17:4). Would you dare embrace the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will? The choice is yours. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 19, 2026 ABANDONED BY MEN, ACCEPTED BY GOD A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close." Psalm 27:10 NLT. What an abounding declaration of faith in the All-powerful God who is able to protect and shield those who put their trust in Him. The implication of our foundational Scripture is among others that when everyone in your life has abandoned you, God is still on your side. Whether they be your parents, brothers, sisters, or your closest friends. When your spouse or your whole family and relatives abandons you, even when your company terminates your appointment, you can rest assured that you are secure in and with God. God is that Friend who sticks to you closer than any biological brother. The world may write you off, but God, your Father is still looking for you. When life knocks you down, He will elevate you to a place of all-encompassing blessing. God, the Almighty Father has your name written on the palms of His hand, as such, you are continually before Him, and He has good plans for you, to give you a hope and a future. (Isaiah 49:16; Jeremiah 29:11). Don't forget this Biblical truth, you may be abandoned by all, but you're secure in Him. Take advantage of this and have it reset your mindset to His glory. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE  THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 18, 2026 LIVING READY FOR CHRIST'S RETURN A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4:17 GNT. From the context of our foundational Scripture one could see how greatly prepared Paul the apostle was in his time and service for the return of the LORD. Obviously, such a spirit of expectation kept the grace of God fresh upon him, for as long as he kept focus on the LORD's coming Satan could not occupy him with any other thing. The same also goes for other people in his generation. There is a remarkable difference between the two generations. But then the admonition of the Word of God is the same for them and us, 'that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing' (verse 12 NKJV). Listen to Paul the apostle's conclusion on the subject at the end of the chapter, 'Therefore comfort one another with these words.' (v 18 NKJV). The soon coming of our LORD Jesus should be our focus whatever may be our situation. In doing so, we will be able to remain heavenly minded, earthly useful and undistracted. You should never for any reason whatsoever doubt the imminency of the LORD Jesus' return even before the day ends; so be prepared to be caught up with your LORD in the air. Permanent preparedness is the answer to the visitor whose coming is sure but whose date of arrival is not known. You must not be constrained with anything that is capable of hindering your focus on the LORD, no matter how (seemingly) vital, because a nano second of distraction may cost you the whole of eternity. God forbid that we sit with the anti-christ, receive his mark and end up in a Christless eternity. PRAYER BULLETS: LORD Jesus, thank You for the salvation of my soul. Give me the focus on the narrow path to Heaven, and deliver me from every spiritual distraction. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 17, 2026 GOD'S CARE AND OUR VALUE IN HIS SIGHT A WORD FROM THE WORD: “Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?" Matthew 6:25-26 AMP. Our LORD Jesus Christ teaches us in the foundational Scripture that God takes care of the birds of the air, and that we, being made in His image and likeness, are much more valuable to Him. With a cursory inward reflection you will see ways and areas God has provided for you in the past, and then trust that He will continue to do so abundantly. Paul, the apostle, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit keeps reminding us that God 'is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think....' (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV). His provision goes beyond our expectations. Take out a few moments and ruminate on God's provisions to you in the past, you can meticulously make a list of them, and use it as a reminder of His faithfulness and provision to you. Whenever you are faced with doubts or uncertainties, make a reference to this list to strengthen your faith in His ability to exceed your expectations and maintain His extravagant provision. Help me to trust that You are able to go beyond my expectations and provide abundantly for me. THE PILGRIMS GUIDE TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2026 BEYOND WHAT WE ASK OR IMAGINE A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you. Now we offer up to God all the glorious praise that rises from every church in every generation through Jesus Christ—and all that will yet be manifest through time and eternity. Amen! Ephesians 3:20-21 TPT. In our anchor Scripture above, we see Paul, the apostle, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit reminding us of God's power and glory. As humans, our expectations often fall short, but God's power is limitless, and as such, can never be measured. God is not bound by our limited understanding or situations and circumstances, for He is who He is ~ Supreme and Sovereign among His other attributes. His glorious power is limitless, boundless and immeasurable. Take a reflective look on the areas of your life where you have not been acknowledging God's power and glory, and what He can do. Write down any expectations you have placed on yourself, on others, or on God, then surrender those expectations to His unlimited power as you completely put your trust on Him. You will have the rewards of His limitless power, as it cloaks you with guidance, fulfilment of purpose, and His peace that surpasses every understanding. PRAYER BULLETS: ABBA Father, thank You for reminding me of Your limitless power. Strengthen my faith and give me confidence in Your power which is now working in me. Help me as I release my expectations and fully trust in Your ability to go beyond what I can ask or imagine.
