My Story
My name is Bishal Thapa. My life hasn’t always been easy. I’ve been through things that have changed me physically and mentally, but I’m still here, still trying, and still hoping for a better future.
I lost my left leg through amputation, and learning to live with that has been one of the biggest challenges of my life. There are days when simple things can feel difficult, and there have been times when I’ve struggled to accept how much my life has changed.
I have also had my own battles with mental health, including depression and difficult periods emotionally. Sometimes the pain you can’t see is harder to explain than the pain people can see. I’ve had some very dark moments, but I’ve continued to hold on and move forward.
I don’t want my life to be defined only by my disability or my mental-health struggles. I’m still Bishal—the same person with dreams, hopes, and plans for the future.
I’ve learned that being strong doesn’t mean you never struggle. Sometimes being strong simply means getting up the next day and trying again.
My journey is still going, and I believe there are better days ahead.
