- It All Starts with Faith in Jesus
Victory begins with a relationship—not a religion. When you believe in Jesus, you’re reborn into a new life where victory is already yours.
1 John 5:4-5 – “Everyone born of God overcomes the world…”
Romans 8:37 – “In all these things we are more than conquerors…”
John 16:33 – “Take heart! I have overcome the world.”
You’re not trying to win the battle—you’re standing in Christ’s victory.
So now that you’re positioned for victory, how do you deal with the day-to-day struggles that still come your way?It All Starts with Faith in Jesus Victory begins with a relationship—not a religion. James 1:1-12
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations:
Greetings.
Trials and Temptations
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. 10 But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower. 11 For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business.
12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.James 1:1-12 1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings. - Fulfill Your Vow to God
Ecclesiastes 5:1-7
[a] Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.
2. Do not be quick with your mouth,
do not be hasty in your heart
to utter anything before God.
God is in heaven
and you are on earth,
so let your words be few.
3 A dream comes when there are many cares,
and many words mark the speech of a fool.
4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. 5. It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it. 6. Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, “My vow was a mistake.” Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands? 7 Much dreaming and many words are meaningless. Therefore fear God.

- Wisdom Is Meaningless
Ecclesiastes 1:12-18
I, the Teacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem. 13 I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens. What a heavy burden God has laid on mankind! 14 I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
15 What is crooked cannot be straightened;
what is lacking cannot be counted.
16 I said to myself, “Look, I have increased in wisdom more than anyone who has ruled over Jerusalem before me; I have experienced much of wisdom and knowledge.” 17 Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly, but I learned that this, too, is a chasing after the wind.
18 For with much wisdom comes much sorrow;
the more knowledge, the more grief.Wisdom Is Meaningless Ecclesiastes 1:12-18 I, the Teacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem. 13 I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens. - GOSHEN WORD FAMILY TABERNACLE
DAILY MOMENT WITH JESUS CHRIST
DATE
Monday: 23 June,2025
TOPIC:
YOUR CELEBRATION HAS NO LIMIT
BIBLE READING:
JOHN 2:1-11
1. On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,
2.and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.
3. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”
4. “Woman, why do you involve me” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”
5.His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
6. Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.
7.Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.
8. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”They did so,
9.and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside
10. and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
11. What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
STUDY VERSE:
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Philippians 4:4
MEDITATION:
In the sacred union of marriage, there lies a profound opportunity for joy and celebration. As we reflect on the account of the Wedding at Cana in John 2:1-11, we are reminded of the pivotal role Christ played in blessing and glorifying the institution of marriage. Just as the hosts of the wedding invited Jesus to partake in their joyous occasion, so too should we welcome His presence into our marriages, ensuring that He remains at the center of our union.
The story at Cana unveils the miraculous power of Christ's intervention. Despite the initial shortage of wine, Jesus performed a divine miracle, transforming water into the best wine. This miraculous act serves as a testament to His ability to turn scarcity into abundance, despair into hope, and weakness into strength. Likewise, in our marital journey, we may encounter seasons of lack, challenges, or struggles. However, by inviting Jesus into our midst and trusting in His providence, we can rest assured that He will transform our circumstances beyond measure.
Also, the Wedding at Cana highlights the importance of faith and obedience. The servants, upon receiving Jesus' instructions, acted in faith and witnessed the manifestation of His glory. Similarly, in our lives as Christians, dedicated to serving God faithfully, we may encounter moments of uncertainty or doubt. Yet, it is through unwavering faith and obedience that we can experience the fullness of God's blessings and provision. When you bring Jesus into your relationship, you are sure that He will turn things around for the better.
Is the 'wine' in your marriage or relationship failing What steps are you taking to stop the drift?
REQUEST:
Loving God, restore joy and celebration in my marriage and relationships.

Acts 17:
17 So he reasoned in the synagogue with both Jews and God-fearing Greeks, as well as in the marketplace day by day with those who happened to be there. 18 A group of Epicurean and Stoic philosophers began to debate with him. Some of them asked, “What is this babbler trying to say?” Others remarked, “He seems to be advocating foreign gods.” They said this because Paul was preaching the good news about Jesus and the resurrection. 19 Then they took him and brought him to a meeting of the Areopagus, where they said to him, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting? 20 You are bringing some strange ideas to our ears, and we would like to know what they mean.” 21 (All the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there spent their time doing nothing but talking about and listening to the latest ideas.)
22 Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.

EBAL AND GERIZIM
TEXT:
DEUTERONOMY 27:11-26
KEY VERSE:
"These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people... And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse..." (DEUTERONOMY 27:12, 13).
Some people distaste dos and don'ts. In particular, they frown at anything that looks like a negative command. What such people do not realise is that the so-called positive and negative commands are like the two wings of a bird that enables it to fly. From time, God's instructions have always been stated in both positive and negative modes - dos and don'ts. This helps to make the issue more pointed and reduces doubts about what is required of us.
The event that took place in the mountains of Gerizim and Ebal concerning the Israelites as captured in today's text is a classic example of the dos and don'ts concept. Just before the Jews entered Canaan, Moses had prepared them by giving them God's laws that should guide every aspect of their lives, including personal conduct, relationships, and worship. They were summoned to Gerizim and Ebal, two mountains that were side by side in Ephraim between which lay the city of Schechem. There, they were to give full expression of their commitment to the commandments of God by binding themselves to the blessings pronounced on the obedient as well as curses declared on the disobedient. The twelve tribes were divided into two with six standing on mount Gerizim from where the blessings would be pronounced and the other six on mount Ebal from where the curses would be uttered. The people agreed to these with a unanimous 'amen'.
The Gerizim and Ebal experience in Canaan land aimed to strengthen the people's obedience to divine laws. Blessings were offered as a reward for compliance, while curses acted as a deterrent for disobedience. In today's era, God's word still guides us on how to stay in His favour and avoid His wrath. The gospel encompasses both blessings and warnings about God's judgement for those who remain unrepentant and disobedient.
We should be grateful for God's double-layered arrangement of promises and warnings. These blessings should inspire us to follow God's will, while the warnings should deter us from straying. Both aspects are meant to guide us in our Christian walk and help us stay on the righteous path set by God.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
_*He who will be reformed neither by God's blessings nor His chastising rod is doomed.
