Focus: Why The Struggle?
20/06/2025
Text: Ps.46:10
"BE STILL, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
Moses tells the Israelis, "Fear ye not, STAND STILL, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever" (Ex.14:13). Stand still, and you shall see… Our text says, "BE STILL, and know…"
Most of the time we struggle unnecessarily, and for that, we end up achieving nothing. You cannot get by struggle what God has given you by grace. With fear in our hearts it would be extremely difficult for us to stand still. The Scripture makes us understand that if we don't stand still we cannot see the salvation of God, and if we are not still, we cannot know that God is the sovereign Lord.
When Rebekah was pregnant with her two sons, the Lord said to her, "Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger" (Gen.25:23). God declared the destinies of the two boys in advance. God determined that the first boy that came out of the womb would serve the other boy who came out later. It was divinely predetermined or predestined, and so, it was not something any one of them could bring about on their own or by struggle.
Concerning their birth, we read, "And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel…" (Gen.25:26). From this record we can see that the younger brother was struggling to come out first, even to the point of holding on to the heel of his brother. In other words, he unnecessarily struggled to get out of the womb first. There was no need for his struggle. The truth is that we get nothing from God through struggle or self-assertiveness.
The flesh struggles in vain for what God has already given us so graciously.
Jacob struggled in the womb to come out before his brother, but all to no avail. Esau still came out before him. Jacob struggled to accomplish in the flesh what God had not sanctioned or destined for him. He wanted to be the first to be born whereas God purposed for him to be the last to be born, and by being the last to come out, he would gain the privilege of becoming the leader in his father's family.
In Matthew 19:30, the Lord Jesus Christ says, "But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first." The same thing is repeated in chapter 20:16: "So the last shall be first, and the first last…" In Rev.2:19, we read that "the last to be more than the first." Finally, we read in Heb. 10:9, "He taketh away the FIRST, that he may establish the SECOND."
Stop forcing things! Learn to give God space in your life to be God! Stop usurping God's place and position in your own life and in the lives of others! Stop struggling to make happen what only God has power to do! Stop getting ahead of God! Stop running faster than your shadow! Learn to be still while God is busy processing your testimony! Why the struggle?
Had Jabob become the first to come out of his mother's womb by sheer struggle, he would have become Esau's servant, and that would have nullified or set aside God's plan for his life and that of his posterity.
Jacob's struggle in the womb was for nothing. He didn't succeed. Esau still made it first out of the womb. Jacob was named a heel-catcher, but catching Esau's heel changed nothing. It made no difference, for the grace of God had already granted Jacob the lead role in the family. Sovereign grace had already guaranteed Jacob's first place as the last to be born.
What is obtainable by grace is not attainable by human effort. Stop struggling to earn by effort what God has bestowed on you so freely! No one becomes or amounts to anything in this life except God makes sure of it. Stop wasting effort to gain what God freely gives! Freely enjoy the free gifts of God!

Text: Jh.19:30
"It is finished."
Jesus Christ started and finished His earthly mission on earth, and that is success. Paul and a host of others commenced and completed their earthly assignments. I believe nothing should stop you from succeeding in your divine vocation.
We have considered God as the Source of success and Uncommon passion as essential requirement for achieving success. Now we proceed with the third letter - C, which stands for Concrete planning.
Good life is planned for. Concrete planning is essential to great success. I emphasize the word 'concrete.' It is concrete planning that creates the effect of success, not abstract planning.
It is a popular saying that failing to plan is planning to fail. A lot of people simply lead plan-less lives. A life of no dreams, no challenges, and no concrete plans to achieve anything significant. No one fulfills a dream inside a dream. A dreamer must first wake up from his dream, and then plan on how to make his dream come true.
Success requires planning, for no one succeeds by accident. I have learned long ago that planning involves "bringing the future into the present and doing something about it now." You cannot by jumping find yourself at the top of the mountain; you can only get there by climbing it.
The Lord Jesus Christ makes known to us His action plan where He says, "Today and tomorrow I'm busy clearing out the demons and healing the sick; the third day I'm wrapping things up…" (Lk.13:32-33, The Message). That's the three-year action plan of Christ.
Clarity of vision results in accuracy of obedience.
Paul says, "I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision" (Act.26:19). Paul followed the vision Christ gave him to its logical conclusion, because it was clear, critical and vital.
Planning involves goal-setting and a go-getting approach or strategy. It is knowing what you want and taking practical steps to actualize it. What do you want and how do you go about achieving it? What is your action plan?
People who succeed make plans for themselves. It's about time you planned your way to success! Come up with measurable and time-bound plans! Make your plans and make them work! Plan to succeed! Program your success and schedule your prosperity!Focus: No Alternative To Success! (Pt.4) 14/06/2025 Text: Jh.19:30 "It is finished." And nobody noticed…
Nobody, except her.
It was June 2022, at the World Championships in Budapest.
Anita Álvarez, an American artistic swimmer with Mexican roots, was performing a flawless routine.
But when her performance ended… she didn’t come up for air.
She had lost consciousness.
Her body floated for a few seconds, then began to sink.
Slowly. All the way to the bottom of the pool.
The audience didn’t notice. Neither did the judges.
Everyone was clapping.
But her coach, Andrea Fuentes, noticed.
She knew Anita—knew exactly how long it took her to surface.
She felt in her heart that something was wrong.
Without thinking twice, she dove in.
Fully dressed. Shoes and all.
She swam straight down, grabbed Anita by the waist,
and brought her back up.
She saved her life.
This story left me thinking…
Who knows you well enough to notice when you’re not okay, even if you’re still smiling?
Who would dive in for you without hesitation when you no longer have the strength to come up for air?
And more importantly…
Would you be that person for someone else?
Are you present enough in your loved ones’ lives to sense the moment they start to sink?
Or are you just another spectator, clapping, not realizing that inside, they’re fading?
In this life, we all need someone who doesn’t just see us—
but truly notices us.

Focus: Loving And Being Loved

Text: 1Jh.4:8
"He that loveth not knoweth not God."
The greatest force in the kingdom of God is the force of love. Paul wrote to Timothy, his son in the faith, that God has given us the spirit of love. Paul told the church in Rome that God by means of the Spirit had poured the love of God into their hearts. Within the heart of the believer in Christ the river of love flows.
God is love, and love is the business of heaven. Christ established His kingdom on love. The Christian faith operates by love. People of faith are indeed people of love. Our relationship with God and others is absolutely based on love. Our actions are informed and influenced by love. Christianity is the religion of love. We get and give love. We live by the rule of love.
Love is the motivating force of all the believer's choices and actions. We inhale and exhale love.
Someone says that "love is the one business in which it pays to be an absolute spendthrift: give it away; throw it away; splash it over; empty your pockets; shake the basket; and tomorrow you'll have more than ever."
How sweet it is to love and be loved! Apostle John tells us that loving others is a proof that we know God. It is balderdash, claiming to know God without loving others. God's love in our hearts dictates our actions. Love is our way of life.
Seen in four characteristics, love can be described as:
*Language of love
Love is on our lips and in our words. We speak the language of love. Everything we do is expressive of our love. We communicate love and impact others by it. The soul knows and understands the language of love. Words of love melt the hearts. Both creation and redemption are necessitated by love in God's heart.
*Obligations of love
Love is a responsibility. It is more than words; it's a duty - what we do. It is also a debt we owe to everyone we meet at every point in time. Paul talks about "the labor of love."
*Virtues of love
Love is a virtue, and indeed, the mother of all virtues. Love is virtuous. It knows no vice. Love gives and forgives. Love does no evil. Love never sins. Love does not bear grudges or harbor evil feelings against others.
*Echoes of love
Love is a divine sound - musical echoes of heaven. The echoes of love reverberates through us in the world. People who come in contact with us hear the sweet sound of heaven. We emit and transmit love to others from the heart of God. By our good deeds we release the echoes of love. Yes, by our life we are echoing God's love.
Love is our song. Love is our life. We live by the law of love. It is the yardstick by which our words and deeds are weighed or measured.
It's so sweet to love and be loved. Let us by loving others show that we know God! It's said that people do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.

Focus: Our Caring God!
27/05/2025
Text: Ps.55:22
"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee."
We all have burdens, and burdens can be wearisome. We have all kinds of burdens - personal, spiritual, social, domestic, marital, financial, moral, academic and emotional burdens. The Bible talks about cares that choke, the cares of this life, the cares of this world, and the cares of the churches. This word 'cares' speaks of trouble, situations that cause worry and anxiety, loads or burdens that weigh us down, and circumstances that distract or frustrate us.
Many of us are really suffering under the heavy weight of our burdens. For many of us, these burdens are soul-crushing and heartrending.
Interestingly, the psalmist has a word from God for all of us. He says to us as individuals, "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee." Take your case to the Lord your God! Bring all of your troubles to the Lord. Roll them on God! He is our burden-bearer and load lifter. Your God wants to take the loads off your shoulders, but you have to be the one to bring them to Him. By means of prayer you can bring your wearisome burdens to the Lord. Leave your tears on the Lord's altar. Peter says it this way: "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" (1Pet.5:7).
The word 'casting' is present tense continuous, meaning that you have to constantly and continuously bring your trouble to your God. Make sure that at no time are you carrying a load. You must be dropping or dumping your load or pain on God.
As you learn to carry your case to the Lord, He promises to sustain you, and in the words of Peter, the Lord "cares for you." God sustains. God cares. He is always concerned about you. The psalmist says that "the LORD will perfect that which concerneth me…" (Ps.138:8).
The story of the Good Samaritan paints a picture for how God cares for you. He rescued the man beaten and left for dead. Luke records that he "went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him" (Lk.10:34). He stayed with the wounded till the following day, and then Luke reports that "on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee" (Lk.10:35). See how one man cared for his fellow man! How much more God! God absolutely cares for you. He binds wounds and restores souls. He cares and sustains His own.
Begin from now to roll over to God your burdens! You have no need carrying your burdens when God is there to carry them for you. Let God help you! He cares for you. Release the weight to Him; let Him bear it for you. Rest your soul in Christ. Trust God to do what is best for you!Focus: Our Caring God! 27/05/2025 Text: Ps.55:22 "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee." We all have burdens, and burdens can be wearisome. Focus: How God Sees The Flesh
26/05/2025
Text: Jh.6:63
"The flesh profiteth nothing…"
The Lord Jesus Christ passes a vote of no confidence on the flesh. He says, "The flesh PROFITS NOTHING." That is an absolute verdict. Everything we do on the basis of the flesh will ultimately amount to nothing. Works done in the flesh yield no eternal gain. The flesh stands condemned before God forever. Paul declares, "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth NO GOOD THING" (Rom.7:18).
The flesh is like a bad tree that yields no good fruit. The flesh is incapable of any iota of goodness that is approvable by God. Man's goodness has been tainted with evil. It is rooted in sin and self. Paul says, "So then they that are in the flesh CANNOT please God" (Rom.8:8). The flesh cannot please God. The flesh is very religious, but unfortunately, its religion is never aimed at pleasing God. Paul asserts that "they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh…" (Rom.8:5), and he makes bold to say, "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die…" (Rom.8:13).
Let's see more of Paul's declarations:
He says, "But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof" (Rom.13:14). He says that God has taken care of every aspect of the human salvation so that "no flesh should glory in his presence" (1Cor.1:29). The flesh is incapable of saving itself, and so God stepped in through Christ to do for man what he couldn't do for himself, making it absolutely impossible for man to find in himself any ground for boasting.
The flesh is always proud of self-accomplishments, but in the matter of his eternal salvation, he lacks the right to be proud and the ground on which he could do so.
It is interesting to know that in everything God does, He ensures that the flesh does not glory in His presence.
Paul says, "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God…" (1Cor.15:50), and he appeals to us, "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from ALL THE FILTHINESS OF THE FLESH" (2Cor.7:1). Even Peter says that the flesh is filthy (1Pet.3:21). The flesh is totally filthy, and no wonder Paul declares that in him dwells no good thing. For us as Christians, Paul says, "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts" (Gal.5:24). He says, "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption…" (Gal.6:8). Paul declares that we "have no confidence in the flesh" (Phil.3:3). The flesh is unreliable. Paul says about himself, "I am carnal, sold under sin…" (Rom.7:14). "For to be carnally minded is death…" (Rom.8:6). He says that "the carnal mind is enmity against God…" (Rom.8:7). The word 'carnal' refers to the flesh or that which is devoid of spirit.
We can see that the flesh profits nothing. It is not spiritual. It cannot please God in all its religious activities. It can't worship God in spirit and in truth. It can't practice faith purely on God's terms and conditions. It can't obey God. It functions as God's enemy, and it's not committed to doing the will of God. No divine business is ever conducted or transacted on the altar of the flesh.
The good news is that the cross of Christ is the medium by which God moves us from the realm of the flesh to the realm of the Spirit. In Christ we are daily experiencing the resurrection life. By the cross of Christ we part ways with the flesh and embrace our new selves made possible by the gracious Spirit of God. We are required by God to keep mortifying the deeds of flesh on daily basis. Let's see the flesh with God's own lenses and arrive at his own conclusion on the flesh.Focus: How God Sees The Flesh 26/05/2025 Text: Jh.6:63 "The flesh profiteth nothing…" The Lord Jesus Christ passes a vote of no confidence on the flesh. Let's see the flesh with God's own lenses and arrive at his own conclusion on the flesh.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 12 Views -

Text: Isa.35:4
"Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your GOD WILL COME with vengeance, even God with a recompence; HE WILL COME AND SAVE YOU."
Isaiah declares in the name of the Lord, "He will come and save you." Whatever it is that you are going through, be rest assured that your God is coming for your rescue. He will set you free from every form of bondage. That trouble in your life will not last forever. That pain in your body has expiration date.
Do you feel locked up in one spot for a long while now? Are you in a tight corner or perhaps you have just reached a dead end? Is your family in trouble or your health is severely challenged? Are your bills piling up and your needs growing larger? Is your faith facing the biggest trial of your life? Is your life being threatened or your means becoming meager? What mess are you in right now? Are you stressed and stretched beyond measure? Are you suffering from a lingering headache and heartache or from a chronic situation?
I have good news for you; a prophetic word from God that is capable of changing your life in every way possible. God has sent me to say to you that He is coming for your rescue. God has destined you for salvation, not for destruction. You will soon move from sighing to singing and from sobbing to smiling. You will rise above shame and sadness. God is coming for your rescue!
It is written in the Song of Solomon: "The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills" (Song of Sol.2:8). Jesus Christ is your beloved. He is your lover. He is eternally in love with you. His love for you is wonderful. His love is too high, too deep, too broad, and too long. His love reaches back to your past, touches your present, and extends to your future.
Your beloved is taking every risk to come to you. He is leaving nothing to chance. He is making every effort to come to you. He is beating the traffic and conquering the odds. He is leaping upon the mountains and skipping the hills. He is overcoming every obstacle and surmounting every hurdle just to get to you and get you out of your mess and misery.
He came through for Peter in the prison and got him out. He came through for Daniel in the lions' den and rescued him. He came through for many others and bailed them out. Even till date He's been coming through for His people and changing their stories, and I am absolutely convinced that He is coming for you. Get set to testify! Get poised for praise! He's coming!
From the top of the mountain Jesus Christ sighted His disciples in the middle of a strong storm. They were in stormy distress and found themselves on the verge of losing their lives. Mark reports, "And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night HE COMETH UNTO THEM, WALKING UPON THE SEA…" (Mk.6:48). He saw them in danger of losing their lives and came for their rescue. Jesus Christ saw no means of transporting Himself to them. No ships; no boats. Yet He stepped onto the waters and walked towards them. He literally walked on the water and succeeded in saving them. He delivered them from destruction. He calmed both their hearts and the waves. He rescued them, and they rejoiced in Him.
You will not wait for your God in vain. Like Job, you will wait until your change comes. He will not come late. No force of darkness can stop Him from reaching you on time. Your God is an early riser, and He's never a latecomer. He's coming for your rescue. Keep your hope alive! He's coming, I assure you!

Text: Eph.3:20
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the POWER THAT WORKETH IN US."
God's power is not only lodging inside the believer in Christ, it is also at work in him. The infinite power of God responds to the power of God inside the believer. The believer in Christ is a possessor of divine ability and authority. Seventy disciples of Christ returned from their mission and reported to Him that the demons were subject to them in His name.
Calvary procured so much for us that we have yet to tap into. Our real problem is more of low aim than it is of failing. We've made so little use of what God has made available for us through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross.
We make so little use of the immense power lodging within us.
We're God's power house. Paul testifies, "Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his WORKING, which WORKETH IN me MIGHTILY" (Col.1:29). Divine energy was mightily in operation in Paul. He was constantly tapping into the limitless power of Christ. He says again, "For it is God which WORKETH IN YOU both to will and to do of his good pleasure" (Phil.2:13). The power of God works in us. God works in us. Paul also tells us about "the word of God, which EFFECTUALLY WORKETH also IN you that believe" (1Thes.2:13). The power of God, the God of all power, and the word of God are all working in us.
In Eph.1:19, Paul prays for the believer in Christ to know "what is the exceeding greatness of his POWER TO US-WARD who believe, according to the working of his mighty power." God's power is not only working in us, but also, it is being directed or channeled to us.
We are not only served by God's power, but also, we serve the purpose of God by God's power.
We are the people of power. Micah declares, "I am full of power by the Spirit of God." The believer in Christ is full of God.
Let's use what God has given us! You are not ordinary. You are full of power. You are indwelt by the Spirit of God. You are anointed to prosper in your calling. You enjoy the empowering presence of Christ in your life, work and walk. Believe that you have what God says you have! You carry divine power inside you; use it!

Text: 1Sam.2:1
"And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation."
Paul tells us that the kingdom of God is "joy in the Holy Ghost," and in another place he tells us, "Rejoice in the Lord, and again I say, Rejoice." Christianity is a religion of joy - joy of a supernatural kind and unspeakable.
Let us look at some of our reasons for rejoicing.
*Rejoice for being you!
Isaiah declares, "But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy" (Isa.65:18). Your creation calls for rejoicing. You exist to rejoice and designed for joy. Joy is part of your DNA.
*Rejoice for the Word!
The psalmist says, "The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes" (Ps.19:8). God's word inspires joy. The Word fills us with joy. The psalmist says again, "Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart" (Ps.119:111). The Word rejoices the heart. Jeremiah says, "Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts" (Jer.15:16). Mark says that the ordinary people "heard him gladly." The Word puts joy in your soul and makes you rejoice.
*Rejoice for God's acts!
The psalmist says, "And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing" (Ps.107:22). Rejoice in what the Lord is doing! We know who God is by what God does. His being and His doing are eternal integrated.
*Rejoice in righteousness!
The psalmist proclaims, "The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly" (Ps.118:15). In the home of the righteous there is immense rejoicing. The kingdom of God is righteousness. Righteousness and joy are interconnected.
*Rejoice for finding the lost!
Christ tells us the parable of the lost coin, the lost sheep and the lost son, and interestingly, they were all recovered. Concerning the found sheep, the Lord Jesus Christ said, "And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing" (Lk.15:5). Let us yearn for lost souls and rejoice at their recovery! Christ says that the angels in heaven rejoice over a single soul that gets back into the fold of God.
*Rejoice for the privilege of suffering for Christ!
Luke reports, "And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name" (Act.5:41). Peter and John suffered humiliation and shame for Christ, and they rejoiced that they did. Suffering for Christ is virtuous and greatly rewarding.
*Rejoice for being in Christ!
Luke records, "And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing" (Act.8:39). Nothing inspires greater joy and rejoicing than being saved in Christ. This government official was extremely joyous for having heard the word, believed in Christ, and having been baptized. He couldn't contain his joy. He traveled back home rejoicing for such a great salvation. It is also a similar story for the jailer. Luke says, "And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house" (Act.16:34). Becoming a child of God calls for rejoicing.
*Rejoice in your spiritual authority!
Luke tells us about the one time mission of seventy disciples of Christ. He says, "And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name" (Lk.10:17). The believer in Christ functions by the authority of Jesus Christ. The power in the name of Jesus Christ works wonders. Demons bow when we exercise the authority of Jesus' name. The demonic forces are subject to us in the name of Jesus Christ.
*Rejoice for having your name in the book of life!
The Lord Jesus Christ says to the seventy disciples, "Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven" (Lk.10:20). The moment we believe in Jesus Christ, God registers our names in heaven. We become candidates or citizens of heaven. Paul tells us that our citizenship is in heaven.
We have immense reasons for rejoicing in Christ. Isaiah says that with joy we shall draw water from the wells of salvation. There is something called 'the joy of salvation," and Habakkuk says, "Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation" (Hab.3:18). Let's count our blessings and rejoice in the God of our salvation.FOCUS: REASONS FOR REJOICING Text: 1Sam.2:1 "And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation." Focus: Living By God's Power
Text: 2Cor.13:4
"For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you."
The cross is a sign of divine weakness, and Paul tells us that the weakness of God is stronger than men. God's meekness or mildness is regarded as God's weakness. Jesus Christ refused to save Himself from the cross, and for the people of the world, that is weakness. Jesus Christ was reviled, but He refused to revile back or retaliate, and the world assumed that as weakness.
Peter says, "Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously" (1Pet.2:23). Jesus Christ refused to do anything that was contrary to the will of His Father. He knew that the cross was God's answer for peace, for as Paul declared, "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them…" (2Cor.5:19). Matthew says, "And they that passed by REVILED him, wagging their heads." "Likewise also the chief priests MOCKING him, with the scribes and elders…"
Mark says, "And they that were crucified with him REVILED him…"
Luke says, "And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar."
Paul says, "And labour, working with our own hands: being REVILED, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it."
Jesus Christ did not retaliate. He did not unleash His anger on them. He knew no sin, did no sin, and no guile was found in His mouth. Instead He prayed to the Father, saying, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do" (Lk.23:34). This is divine weakness. Christ allowed Himself to be unjustly treated. He did not insist on His rights. He was unjustly crucified. They let Him be killed even when the Courts had passed a verdict on Him as one without fault. They committed Him to a death sentence via the cross. He took everything in good faith and trusted in the ultimate justice of God. That is the weakness of God.
He did neither pray against His enemies nor even saw them as enemies. Rather He saw them as ignorant people, who knew not what they had gotten themselves involved in.
Beyond the cross, Christ is alive and well, and He lives by the power of God. He conquered evil with meekness, mildness, or if you like, weakness. As the resurrected Lord, Christ lives by the power of God. He triumphed through weakness and lives on gloriously by God's power.
Weakness and power work together and harmoniously in Christ. God's weakness always wins. God's power always prevails.
God's weakness is power in disguise. God never does evil to prove Himself as powerful. In fact, it is by doing evil that we lose power. It is a moral weakness in display when the powerful misuse or abuse power. Power is best known for the good it does for the good of others. No one is given power to trample on others, not even when people do or go wrong.
Paul says, "We are weak in him…" As long as the cross remains the central and vital principle of our Christian faith, the weakness of God will continue to count in our lives and apply to all our choices and actions.
It is important for us to know that we cannot lead the Christian life on our own. We need the power of God.
To forgive is divine; so we need the power of God to forgive. We need the power of God to reflect, express, and represent Christ in the world. To live and do right, we need the power of God. Living righteously, winsomely, courageously and triumphantly in this world really requires the enabling of God. We need the resurrection life and the resurrection power of God. Meekness is might that has been tamed. Weakness is power under control. Resisting compromise and choosing consistency is an impossibility without divine ability. Serving God in any form here on earth requires divine empowerment. Jesus Christ says that we cannot do anything apart from Him.
The people of this world count us as being weak each time we fail to fight for our rights. It is not all the time that one should be fighting for rights. One can die for nothing fighting for rights, and for us as Christians, every time we intentionally let our rights go, we create an opportunity for evangelism. When we forgive those who hurt us badly we open a window of opportunity to win a soul for Christ.
Whatever you have to endure in your relationship with others for the sake of Christ is worth it. God has made us partakers of the divine nature and possessors of divine power, making it possible for us to live God-like and God-glorifying lives. God says to Paul, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness" (2Cor.12:9). Rise above your weakness and live by the power of God.Focus: Living By God's Power Text: 2Cor.13:4 "For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. Rise above your weakness and live by the power of God.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 13 Views - The universe told me someone needed to hear this… STOP waiting to become the best version of yourself and just start acting like them TODAY. That’s how you reprogram your mind by walking, talking, and thinking “as if” you already ARE that version. You don’t need permission. You don’t need to feel ready. You just need to move like it’s already done. Every day you show up “as if,” your brain starts catching up. Your habits change. Your decisions shift. Your energy aligns. It’s not magic it’s mindset. It’s really that simple. Not always easy… but SIMPLE.The universe told me someone needed to hear this… STOP waiting to become the best version of yourself and just start acting like them TODAY.
