I'm praising God that this Sunday is five years as the pastor at my church. I've been blessed to serve as a pastor for over 28 years in four churches. I'm turning 59; God willing I will be the pastor at my church until I retire.

I’m receiving a number of emails offering direction on how to address politics in the church. It is an election year in the United States. I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on this topic. Are politics to be avoided in church? How are divisive political issues to be addressed? May brothers and sisters be in disagreement on politics; and if so, how are they to relate to each other?
