THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SATURDAY MAY 31, 2025 THE EXCELLENT SPIRIT A WORD FROM THE WORD: "There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. In the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him, and King Nebuchadnezzar, your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers, because an excellent spirit, knowledge, and understanding to interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.” Daniel 5:11-13 ESV The excellent Spirit makes a man to live in the realm of the supernatural like Daniel did in Babylon, he was so different that he was branded a little god. He was distinguished, promoted and enthroned. When a child of God subsumes his/her will into the will of God, and gives unfettered access and control to the Holy Spirit, such a person will inevitably be endued with an excellent spirit. God is still searching for the Daniels of today. Man is essentially a spirit being and so his actions, inactions and words are sourced and controlled from the spirit realm. The body of Christ today is in dire need of men and women of excellent spirit. This was an essential quality that differentiated some key people in the Bible. The enemy of your soul, even Satan is averse to you experiencing and expressing the excellent spirit, so he fights tooth and nail to ensure you don't realise it in your walk with God. But you must war against him by the power of God's Spirit. Paul, the apostle by the Holy Spirit writes, 'For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.' (Ephesians 6:12 KJV), these are the principal categories of evil spirits, vices such as adultery, fornication, robbery, fraud, killing, cultism, drunkenness, drug addiction, etc., are manifestations of these rulers of darkness. The first generation of people that was destroyed by God through flood had their thoughts and imaginations continually evil (Genesis 6:5). It's my earnest prayer that you overcome the shenanigans of the enemy of your soul, stand on the finished work of our LORD Jesus, and the excellent Spirit will be your permanent trademark. PRAYER BULLETS: LORD Jesus, thank You for making me more than a conqueror. Help me to overcome every spirit that pollutes Your Spirit in me, and make me an excellent spirit.
