DISCOVERING GOD'S WILL FOR YOUR LIFE
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:1-2 NKJV.
Knowing the will of God helps you to know Him better and find more grace to your life.
The following are things to do, (though not exhaustive) to discover God's will for your life.
1). You must ask. Don't just slide your hands into your laps, make deliberate decision and effort to ask God ask His will for you (Matthew 7:7-8).
2). Learn to spend time in God's presence. The aura of God is contagious and instructive in His presence; it is here that He will make His ways known to you as He teaches you (Isaiah 2:2-3).
3). Give yourself completely to knowing His will, haphazard approaches will not be profitable. In knowing God's will, you must learn to ask confidently (Hosea 6:3; James 1:5; 1 John 5::14).
4). Cultivate the habit of talking to God on daily regular basis.
5). Read the Bible and meditate on it daily (Psalm 119:9-11; 105; Joshua 1:8-9).
PRAYER BULLETS:
ABBA Father, help and guide me by Your Spirit and endue me with diligence to use the right approaches to discovering Your will for my life.
FURTHER READING:
Matthew 7:7-8; Isaiah 2:2-3; Hosea 6:3; James 1:5; 1 John 5:14.
