John 8:31-32 teaches us to make it a deliberate effort to be TRUE DISCOPLES, not just disciples as we generally are. A true Disciple abides in the Lord's word, knows the divine truth, which is Jesus Himself.

Thus, there are Disciples ( who run away upon hearing the truth ( John 6:66), and true Disciples who stand with the Lord, those who know the truth that in Him, Christ, is Life, just as Peter did.
