THE PILGRIMS GUIDE  MONDAY JUNE 9, 2025 THE HOWS OF STANDING STRONG ON GOD'S PROMISES  A WORD FROM THE WORD:  "We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised." Hebrews 6:12 NIV. The first thing that would be of a great help to us in our subject matter is to have a better understanding of an important character of God. He is unchanging in His nature or time. He spoke to Malachi, the prophet, about Himself, and he writes to us by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit thus: 'I am the LORD, and I do not change....' (Malachi 3:6 NLT). He has been the same God from one generation to another, and there is no fear that He might suddenly change for any reason. If you want to stand strong on God's promises, you must endeavour to do the following: 1). Stand Strong In Faith: No double minded persons or doubters about God's promises have received it. Put your trust, and believe in Him, and they shall be yours. (Romans 4:19). 2). Stand Strong In Holiness: Holiness is one of the conditions of seeing God, therefore it follows that the lack of it will separate and hinder one from enjoying the promises of God. Don't break your hedge of holiness, lest you are bitten by the serpent. (1 Peter 1:15; Ecclesiastes 10:18). 3). Stand Strong In Prayers: One of the best ways through which to realise the promises of God is prayer. In spite of the fact that some are contemptuous of prayers, but it does not reduce its efficacy. Coming from a righteous man, it avails much. (James 5:17-18; 1 Kings 18:42-45). PRAYER BULLETS: Father LORD, thank You for the privilege of life. I ask for Your grace to stand strong in these vital areas of the 'hows' of Your promises.
