THE PILGRIMS GUIDE TUESDAY JUNE 24, 2025 A SECOND TOUCH 1 A WORD FROM THE WORD: "....Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, 'Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.' So Peter went out and wept bitterly." Luke 22:60-62 NKJV. God is the God of second chance, otherwise no man will make Heaven. If not for such opportunity, Peter would have lost his soul to hell, like many people already have. Peter was not only a child of God, but also the leader of the disciples, and was very close to the LORD Jesus. It's on record that his home was one of the few the LORD Jesus frequently visited yet, at that critical juncture, he denied his LORD, Discpler and Creator. Our foundational Scripture says that at that decisive moment, '... the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So Peter went out and wept bitterly.' (vv 61-62). That was the turning point, the breaking point and the hour of the second touch upon Peter. Thereafter, Peter was never the same again. Though Peter experienced and took advantage of the LORD Jesus' second chance, there are numerous others who didn't or may never see that glaring opportunity. PRAYER BULLETS: LORD Jesus, I need Your second touch in my life. Open the eyes of my mind to behold and take advantage of Your love.
