AN UNQUENCHABLE DESIRE FOR THE PRESENCE OF GOD
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"Inside the Tent of Meeting, the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Afterward Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua son of Nun, would remain behind in the Tent of Meeting." Exodus 33:11 NLT.
Moses, the servant of God and the human leader of the children of Israel during the course of their exodus from Egypt to the promise land was a man with an unquenchable desire for the presence of God that he had to ask God for it (v 13).
You can never overemphasise on the presence of God in the life of His children. Moses was well aware of this that after getting God's assurance on it (v 14), he continued by telling Him that 'if Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.' (v 15 NKJV).
When you have an unquenchable desire for the presence of God in your life, He will not deny it to you. You should, like Moses, in the context of our anchor Scripture nurse such desire, because, in the real sense, God's presence makes you whole, as His child, therefore you should desire and go for it.
PRAYER BULLETS:
ABBA Father, the utmost and insatiable desire of my heart is Your presence. Reveal Your presence to me always.
FURTHER READING:
Exodus 33:11-15; Psalm 16:11; 42:1-2; Isaiah 41:10; James 4:8.
