REJECTED STONE BECOMES THE CORNER STONE
Part-2
In God's business, Yeshua emphasizes that the elevation of the rejected stone is "the Lord's doing," focusing that God's plan is at work, even when it seems counterintuitive to human understanding. Baliraja takes this phrase from Psalm 118:22-23 The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. In this Psalm, king David (probably the author) has prophetically signifies, Yeshua Baliraja as the rejected stone that becomes the cornerstone. Yeshua highlights the wonder and unexpected nature of God's work. The religious leaders, who should have recognised Baliraja as the Messiah, are left in awe and confusion at his eventual exaltation.
Yeshua strongly affirms His messianic identity and his role as the foundation of the Church. The verse points to the theme of His rejection by his people, followed by His his vindication and exaltation by God. They underscored God's sovereignty and His ability to accomplish His purposes even through seemingly unlikely circumstances. The verse also serves as a warning against spiritual blindness and the danger of rejecting God's chosen one.
Regretfully like the Jews, we do the same thing when we try to fit God's will for our personal purpose. Baliraja's purpose and lead in our life gets limited and our plans and goals turn more prominent, many times by Christian leaders. We are unwilling to be righteous, loving, compassionate, just towards our fellow beings. We block God's discerning Will through our life. Isn't it very tragic??
May we be enabled to adhere to His Will than ours. My prayer remains with you. Have a thoughtful weekend ahead.
