It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
—  Ephesians 2:8-9

Thought Of The Day...
This passage offers important insights about salvation.

We are saved solely by God's grace through the completed work of Christ, not by any efforts of our own. This amazing salvation is received through faith, which means we are not saved due to our faith, but rather through it.

Three key points about salvation can be emphasized: first, its source is grace; second, its means is faith; and third, its outcome is good works. We are saved by grace through faith so that we can perform good works.

Our salvation does not stem from any actions we take for God, but from the work Christ accomplished for us on the cross and through His resurrection. We engage in good works not to earn acceptance from God, but because we have been saved by grace. Good works are not the cause of our salvation; they flow from it. We are saved to carry out the good works that God has prepared for us, with the Spirit of God empowering us to fulfill them.

Grace, faith, and good works form a tripod that illustrates our salvation. All three are the result of God's actions in us and for us.

Prayer...
Gracious and loving Father, we come before you humbly, thanking you for your abundant grace and mercy. Your Word in Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us that our salvation is a gift from you, not something we can earn or boast about. We are grateful for this truth and for your unfailing love.

Lord, in a world that constantly reminds us of our inadequacies and shortcomings, your grace is a refreshing stream of hope and assurance. Help us to fully embrace this truth and let it guide our every thought and action.

As we go about our daily lives, may your compassionate heart shine through us. Give us eyes to see those in need around us and hearts willing to extend a helping hand. May we be vessels of your love and instruments of your peace in this world.

We pray that you will continue to work in us and through us, molding us into the image of your Son, Jesus Christ. May our lives be a reflection of your amazing grace, drawing others into your loving embrace.

Thank you, Father, for your immeasurable love and grace. May we never take it for granted and always seek to live in a way that brings glory to your name. In the precious name of Jesus. Amen!
