DON'T CRY, BUT COMMAND

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm." Mark 4:39 NLT.

When you read the context of our foundational Scripture, you will not miss out on seeing one of the major challenges facing most believers - the inability to fully realise and recognise the presence of the LORD Jesus in their lives. The LORD Jesus was presently present in the boat with the disciples, yet they were afraid of drowning due to the 'little' storm, yes, a 'little' storm. Every storm in life pales into insignificance in the presence of the LORD Jesus in your life.

One great takeaway from our anchor Scripture is to make use of the delegated authority the LORD Jesus gave us to command the situations and challenges facing us, instead of moping, griping and crying about them. He has committed and delegated His authority to us and expects us to act with, and use it in faith.

It is time to rouse yourself out from the slough of spiritual despondency and command the elements of the challenges, situations and storms of your life and service to align with God's purpose for your life.

PRAYER BULLETS:

Faithful LORD, I thank You for the victory You have wrought for me. Engrace me to take advantage of it by faith in You.

FURTHER READING:

Mark 4:35-41; Matthew 17:20; Luke 10:19; John 14:13-14; Acts 3:6.
