For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish." Galatians 5:16-17 NKJV One of the major tragedies and impediments in a Christian's spiritual growth and maturity is the levity with which moral weaknesses are handled after giving one's life to the LORD Jesus Christ, Any one moral weakness that is not dealt with by the new convert at the initial stage of the born-again experience often experiences a 'relapse' of such weakness with full strength to cause havoc and clog the spiritual life. It doesn't matter that person's spiritual attainment or position in life and/or ministry. One thing is certain, as the called and gifted servant of God continues to jettison the holy and righteous demands of God upon his life, he eventually becomes as cold as a pressing iron which, though is connected to the power source, but is no longer hot because it's switched off from the source. Your active choice of, and alignment with the Spirit of the LORD Jesus, and following His leading and guidance makes available to you the spiritual growth and the Christ-like life you need to gain victory over the flesh. PRAYER BULLETS: LORD Jesus, cause me by Your Spirit to overcome every aspect of moral weakness known and unknown to me and thereby gain victory over the flesh.
