THE FRUIT OF TRUE RELATIONSHIP

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"That I may know him and the power of his resurrection...." Philippians 3:10 ESV.

After the resurrection of the LORD Jesus, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the disciples of the LORD went around Jerusalem preaching and teaching in His name. Following the miraculous healing of the lame man at the Beautiful Gate, the members of the Council felt threatened on how God was using them. They were arrested and made to appear before them (Acts 3:1-10; 4:1-6).
During the Council's interface with Peter and John, they came to realise and recognise that they (the disciples) know and had been with the LORD Jesus (Acts 4:13).

Peter and John knew the LORD, not academically as it were, but in a powerful relational way. The knowing that emanates from experience, personal surrender, encounters and sacrifice, not of head knowledge, of intimacy from the depth of the heart.

The fruit of true relationship of knowing Christ is His fragrance wafting out of your life, not a formula to be used.

PRAYER BULLETS:

Loving LORD, may my life always reflect my daily relationship with You.

FURTHER READING:

2 Peter 1:5-8; John 15:4-5; Romans 6:5-6; Galatians 5:22-24.
