BARRENNESS TO FRUITFULNESS

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD." 1 Samuel 1:20 KJV

Hannah was a sorrowful woman for a long time and she complained about the unpleasant situation that barrenness brought to her and loving husband, Elkanah. As if her situation wasn't enough, she was regularly provoked and derided by her adversary and co-wife, Peninah. That was an unavoidable source of worry for her and she constantly wept over her situation. Until she prevailed in the place of prayer, she remained a sorrowful woman. When she prayed effectually, the LORD changed her sadness to joy. 'The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.' (James 5:15)

Like Hannah, if only you can stop worrying, moping and griping about your challenges, situations and circumstances, and then start praying, the LORD will change your story and grant you uplifting from every area of barrenness in life and service to fruitfulness.
He is the faithful God, who changed the story of Lazarus and brought him back to life from the dead. He changed the situation of Joseph from prison to palace. He changed the story of Hannah from barrenness to a mother of many. He is capable and wants to change your situation today. Your neighbours shall hear acclamation from you as the LORD changes your story.

The LORD promises to take you from failure to success, from poverty to prosperity, and from shame to double glory of fame, if you will pray. However, you can only claim God's promises when you have genuinely surrendered your life to the LORD Jesus in true repentance.

PRAYER BULLETS:

LORD Jesus, I overcome every adversary that has vowed to keep me worrying over my situations.

FURTHER READING:

Psalm 147:3; John 16:20.
