*Charis Daily Devotionals – Saturday, 23rd August 2025* *Healing Respects Your Will* *Author:* Louis Mulongoti > *_Jesus asked him, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’” — Luke 18:41 (NIV)_* Some ask, “If healing is real, why do not preachers always go to hospitals and heal the sick?” But if you look carefully, Jesus Himself did not randomly heal everyone wherever He went. He passed by places full of sick and blind people, yet only healed those who were willing and ready. Healing respects your free will. Blind Bartimaeus had to cry out loudly when he heard Jesus was passing by, and Jesus had to ask what he wanted done, even though He already knew the man was blind. God will never force His healing or blessings on anyone. Until you submit your will to Him and sincerely ask for His touch, He will respect your choice, even if that means allowing you to continue in suffering or spiritual captivity. Healing and deliverance come only when you are ready to receive. Your surrender opens the door for God’s miraculous power to move in your life. > *_The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 (NIV)_* *Prayer/Confession* Lord, today I submit my will to You.
