THE PILGRIMS GUIDE FRIDAY AUGUST 29, 2025 YOUR FAITH IS THE FOUNDATION OF YOUR TRUST IN GOD A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1 NKJV. The writer of the book of Hebrews by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit defines faith as being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1).When you apply this to Paul, the apostle's encouragement to you to have an expectation of God's exceeding abundance (Ephesians 3:20), then you are within the confines of living a life of faith, that is - trusting in God's promises. Make a contemplative reflection on how you can cultivate a life of faith that goes beyond your own expectations and trust in God's promises. Choose one area of your life where you want to increase your faith and elevate your trust in God; surrender it to Him, and make a commitment to approach it with faith-filled expectation, trusting that God will exceed what you can ask or imagine. PRAYER BULLETS: Father LORD, thank You for the reminder to live a life of faith. Strengthen my faith and help me to trust in Your promises, even when I cannot see the way forward. May my expectations align with Your greater plan, and may I live in confident expectation of Your goodness.
