They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
Good morning and praise God. I hope you are doing well and are blessed. On this day, we were rushing back to classes for evening preps. As I passed by a window, it quickly opened before me and had no time to stop so I hit it hard with my shoulder. I sensed I had squeezed the fingers of the person who had opened it. However, I proceeded to class and sat there worried but encouraged by the Psalms and prayer. The teacher on duty called for me . He had witnessed everything and knew it was an accident. I had crushed my dorm captain finger (s) that he was taken to hospital. Thereafter followed threats from the guy but I continued in prayers and God's Word and it really worked. Many years later, we met as I was secretary assistant in same school and I prepared his leaving certificate. I was also given opportunity to meet all my bullies who were at my own mercies that one of them pretended he didn't know me. I laughed it and treated then with love. For the captain, his toughness had already been paid. I wish I had more time to tell you true life events that have proved in my life God's Word as true . This is from childhood and by the way I wasn't 'born in church.' My first day in Sunday service I was about seven years. I would tell the you the way my first Bible was the Gideons with New Testament, Proverbs and Psalms but that didn't matter. It worked miracles in my life and still does. Paul the unexpected apostle and John the beloved and undying disciple spent enough texts to guide us to stick to only what agrees with the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know you have been online and heard about book of Mormon, Ethiopian bible and so many other teachings that you'll allow me call stories related to Bible or even not and worth reading but not as sound doctrine. Actually, some people are thinking that these books are new or European missionaries purged them to hide some information from we Africans but I strongly disagree on that. Their being not recognized as canonized books is something you can do yourself if you have read the canonized ones with aim to hear from God and then you read those apocrypha books. You'll indeed purge them for the majority sound myths! For them that were serious in school may also have heard about Apocrypha books which is a word that means hidden or secret and indeed such should remain hidden for someone who hasn't even read the sixty six books of the canonized Bible. I haven't because every time I re-read, the word speaks a different message to me. I haven't heard any believer seeking to hear God who can boast having completed reading the Bible in their life even after reading the whole from cover to cover and repeated over and over again. The message is always new! Brethren, do not be deceived! Let me share some advise from 2 John 1:10-11 "If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him a greeting, for whoever gives him a greeting participates in his wicked works" Rev 22:18 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book." Here at the capital market of Nairobi (Githurai 45) we already have several shrines teaching things that will shock and saddened someone like me raised not in any denomination to begin with but through miraculous working of God. Again, brother or sister, be careful. Let's sing , Read your Bible, pray every day, pray every day, read, read your Bible, pray every day if you want to grow....." The time to listen more to God and not to the world is now, antichrist will use all tricks to them that are ignorant. Don't be ignorant in your faith, be a Berean and prove what's taught to you by rereading it and doing all comparison you need and God will keep you from heresies that corrupt and rob truth. Don't just wait to be encouraged by these devotional verses, open your Bible and read it with aim to hear from God.
