*Charis Daily Devotionals – Friday, 5th September 2025* *No Room for Compromise* *Author:* Louis Mulongoti > "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons." — 1 Corinthians 10:21 (NIV) God wants all of you, your heart, your time, and your loyalty. You cannot live two lives. You cannot be in church on Sunday and live like the world from Monday to Saturday. That’s what Paul meant when he said we cannot drink from both the Lord’s cup and the cup of demons. God is holy, and when you belong to Him, your life should show it. Some people want to enjoy the blessings of being a Christian but still hold on to habits, relationships, or activities that don’t please God. But God won’t share you with the enemy. You have to choose. And choosing Jesus means walking away from anything that pulls you out of His presence. Do not settle for a double life—live fully for Christ and watch what He will do through you. > *_"No one can serve two masters..." — Matthew 6:24 (NIV)_* *Prayer/Confession* Lord, I choose You. I do not want to live a double life. Help me walk in truth and purity. Anything in me that does not please You, take it away. I surrender my heart and my choices to You completely. In Jesus’ name.
