THE PILGRIMS GUIDE MONDAY SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 CLEANSE YOURSELF FROM ALL FILTHINESS A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls." James 1:21 NKJV. The Word of God, either written or preached, cannot effectively take hold of a person's life if he or she is not separated from all aspects of moral, spiritual filth and evil. God commands us as believers to set aside all ungodly filth that permeates a corrupt society and seeks to influence us and our families. This filth defiles human souls and blights lives. The Scriptures tells us what is important to us as God's holy people, admonishing us not to engage in any kind of impurity or obscenity (Ephesians 5:3-4). We must be aware that allowing any kind of moral or spiritual filth into our lives or homes, including filthy languages or obscenities through videos, television or the internet, these grieves the Holy Spirit and violates the holy standards of God for all His people. God's word warns us, "Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. Don’t participate in the things these people do." (Ephesians 5:6-7 NLT). As believers in Christ Jesus, we must take righteousness and holiness seriously. Our lives and homes must be swept clean and filled with the Word of God and the holiness of Christ. Clean yourself from all filthiness. PRAYER BULLETS: ABBA Father, thank You for the exhortations from Your word. Strengthen me to overcome and clean myself from every abundance of wickedness ocassioned by sin.
