*Guarding the Flock with Truth*

*Author:* Louis Mulongoti

> *_"For if someone with a weak conscience sees you, with all your knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, won’t that person be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols? So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge." – 1 Corinthians 8:10-11 (NIV)_*

As leaders and ministers of the gospel, we are entrusted with the lives and souls of those who follow Christ. Paul reminds us that our actions and teachings can either strengthen or destroy those who are weak in faith. Knowledge without love becomes destructive, and a twist of truth may lead others into confusion and ultimately spiritual death.

The responsibility of shepherding God’s flock is weighty. Misleading the church through falsehood, pride, or compromise not only harms the weak but also brings judgment upon the leaders who cause such stumbling. Therefore, we must guard our speech, actions, and doctrine with humility and integrity, ensuring that what we impart builds faith, aligns with the Word of God, and glorifies Christ.

> *_"Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly." – James 3:1 (NIV)_*

*Prayer/Confession*
Father, help me to walk in truth and love, never causing another to stumble through my words or actions. May I handle Your Word faithfully, with humility, and always with the intent of building up others in Christ. Amen.

*_If you are not yet born again, confess this prayer:_*

*Prayer Of Salvation*
Dear Lord Jesus, I'm a sinner, come into my heart, wash me with Your precious blood and save my soul today. Lord Jesus, I accept You as my personal Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving my soul. I'm born again; the old is gone, and the new has begun. I'm a new creation in Jesus Christ's name. Amen!

*Note:* Now that you are born again, make sure you find a Bible-believing church where they teach sound doctrines so that you can grow spiritually. Shalom!
