John 14:1 BSB “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you are having a great day. On Sunday, I visited my usual grocery spot. There were labels everywhere saying 'do not touch.' I questioned the seller on why I shouldn't touch yet I will still wash and boil grains. He had a story to tell about a friend who allowed touching and unfortunately his business crumbled. He told me of people's with bad intentions of the business. This is life. Everyone has many things that trouble their heart. From the outside you might not know exactly what but when you take some moment with most you'll get it. Unfortunately , we are not capable of protecting ourselves from all dangers that lingers around us. When we try to completely protect our lives, we fall into so much troubles. Some even get sick. A lady confessed such a case to me. However, Jesus is telling us that we should not let our hearts be troubled but instead we should believe in God and in Him. At this moment, Jesus was about to be killed and disciples had all the facts and reasons to be troubled. They had left behind their careers and life to follow Jesus. They hadn't yet understood Jesus' teachings. We too like disciples have so many reasons to get deeply troubled in our hearts. There is also so much to worry about in life. Jesus is telling us that we can choose to believe in God and in Him rather than troubling ourselves. God's promises are yes and amen and He got good plans for our lives to give us hope and future. May we choose to believe in God and our Savior Jesus Christ instead of troubling ourselves day in day out. God loves you, have a blessed day ahead. Shalom. Shalom.
