THE PILGRIMS GUIDE WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 10, 2025 DON'T LET YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED A WORD FROM THE WORD: "Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me." John 14:1 NLT. Life effortlessly gives you numerous reasons to worry - what with the finances, health, relationships, wars and much more. But you have a reminder and an assurance from the LORD Jesus Himself saying *'Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.'* These words came from Him towards the end of His earthly ministry, before He faced the Cross; demonstrating the true joy, peace, freedom He had in and with the Father. You can have such freedom from worry if only you will abide by His admonition to 'trust in God, and trust also in me.' For the avoidance of doubt, it must be noted that trusting in God does not make or guarantee you an easy life, but the overwhelming assurance that He walks you, providing you with the strength and calm you need, even in the face of the most furious storms of life. You can fight and overcome your fears and take your thoughts captive as you trust in Him by leaning on His promises to you in the Scripture; prayer, and surrounding yourself with godly counsels and support. And have your mind, by the help of the Holy Spirit remain steadfast in God's perfect peace. PRAYER BULLETS: Loving LORD, I am very grateful for the privilege of Your assurance.
