Prayer for Justice and Righteousness in the World

O Lord of Justice and Righteousness, our hearts cry out to you for a world that is broken and hurting. We see the injustice and oppression that exists in our society, and we long for your justice and righteousness to prevail. Help us to understand that the root of all injustice is sin, and that only through your grace and mercy can true justice be achieved.

We ask that you would give us eyes to see the world as you see it, and hearts that are moved with compassion for those who are oppressed and marginalized. Help us to work towards justice and righteousness in our own lives and in the lives of those around us. May we be advocates for the voiceless and defenders of the weak.

Lord, we also pray for those in positions of authority, that they may govern with justice and righteousness. We ask that you would give them wisdom and discernment to make decisions that are just and fair. We pray that they would be guided by your spirit and that they would seek your will in all that they do.

Finally, we pray for your kingdom to come and your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We long for the day when justice will flow like a river and righteousness like a never-failing stream. We trust in your promises and we look forward to the day when all things will be made new.
