The Corinthian believers were warned that even those who thought they stood strong in the Lord could easily fall into sin if they became careless or overconfident. Spiritual privilege and past victories do not guarantee present stability; constant vigilance, humility, and dependence on God are needed. This verse reminds us that standing firm requires watchfulness. The enemy often strikes when we feel most secure. Just as Israel experienced God’s mighty works yet still fell into disobedience, so can we if we neglect humility. Our true strength is not in ourselves but in Christ, who sustains us daily. > *_"Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." – Proverbs 16:18 (NIV)_* *Prayer/Confession* Father, keep me humble in my walk with You. I refuse to rely on my own strength, but I put my full trust in Christ to uphold me. Guide me to stand firm in faith and remain vigilant against every temptation.
