BEHOLDING GOD'S REVEALED SPLENDOUR 1
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"And we all, with unveiled face, beholding[a] the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18 RSV
The world we live in is full of chaos and uncertainties, therefore it is very essential for us as born-again Christians to embrace God's glory. The glory of God is His majestic presence and splendour, which is beyond measure and incomparable to anything else. As the discples of the LORD Jesus, we have the privilege of experiencing and reflecting His glory in our lives.
Through the sacrifice, vicarious death, and resurrection of the LORD Jesus Christ, the veil that once separated us from God's presence has been torn. We have been granted thoroughfare to behold the glory of the LORD with an unveiled face. We can now intimately and personally fellowship with the Creator of the heavens and the earth, revelling in His radiance.
When we behold God's revealed splendour, it transforms us inside out. God's glory automatically changes our perspective, character and desires. It molds us into the image of Christ, revealing His glory through us. And as we spend time in His presence, we become more like Him, reflecting His beauty to a world that is in a desperate need of encountering the love and grace of God.
Beholding God's revealed splendour requires a heart that is totally submitted to Him. It means seeking Him wholeheartedly, desiring Him above all else. This involves acknowledging that we are not the source of glory, but just vessels who carry and radiate His goodness. It leads to a life of humility, recognising that apart from Him, we can do nothing.
PRAYER BULLETS:
ABBA Father, thank You for the privilege to beholding Your glory. Help me to seek You wholeheartedly, surrendering my life completely to Your will. Transform me from inside out, so that I may reflect Your beauty to those around me.
FURTHER READING:
Ephesians 3:20; 1 Corinthians 10:31: Romans 11:38.
