Galatians 5:24 NIV Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great morning. Let's share more verses from above chapter for us to get the context of our meditation for the day "Galatians 5:19-23 NIV "The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. " All us have found themselves in the acts of the flesh in one way or the other. However, I believe that every person feels bad about it except them that have given their souls to the devil. The main question however is , how do we remove the acts of flesh from our lives? These are the default responses of our flesh. Paul in our today's verse remind us that if indeed we are in Christ, we have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Jesus Christ set us free from the hook and bait of sin through the cross where He was killed to pay the debt of sin which is death. Jesus paid it all and did not just end it there. He gave us Holy Spirit so that we can bear fruit of Holy Spirit. You cannot do it yourself and I too but when we turn to Jesus acknowledging our sins and asking for forgiveness, Jesus Christ give us the power to overcome desires of this flesh. Our own efforts may fail but we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. Our victory is in the name of Jesus and He is always with us to to help us. We just need to crucify the flesh with all its passions and desires and live for God. Discipline your body to obey God. May this be our desire as we walk with Jesus. God loves you, have a blessed day ahead. Shalom. Shalom.
