WISDOM FOR TODAY
TUESDAY - OCTOBER 7

JUST OBEY GOD’S WORD
"And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams." - 1 Samuel 15:22 (KJV)

Beloved, many believers would rather fast and pray than obey. They forget that to obey is better than sacrifice. There are prayers that would never have been necessary if only we had obeyed God. Many answers we seek are already provided, waiting at the place of obedience.

Wouldn’t it be foolish to keep knocking on a door that is already open? The door is open, stop knocking and walk in! And the way to enter is through simple obedience.
Samuel told Saul: “Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, He hath also rejected thee from being king” (1 Samuel 15:23). Disobedience cost Saul the throne, but obedience preserves destiny.

When Jesus was entering Jerusalem, He sent two disciples ahead, saying: “You will find an ass tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them unto me. If any man asks you what you are doing, say, ‘The Lord hath need of them.’” (Matthew 21:2-3). They obeyed, and it happened exactly as He said.

Child of God, stop arguing. Stop calculating. Stop delaying. Just obey His Word. Obedience unlocks doors faster than sacrifice, prayer, or struggle ever could.
