🙏 A Prayer for Mercy Have mercy on me, O God the Father, as You have mercy on all sinners, O You who have shown Your great mercy and Your boundless compassion. Wash me, O You who washed the feet of Your disciples, so that I may be cleansed from all my sins. I know my sins and do not hide them from You, but I confess them (opportunity for confession). Against You only have I sinned, and done evil in Your sight, but You were crucified to free me from judgment and to abolish death, because I was born again of water and the Spirit and have become a temple of Your Holy Spirit. Do not let my iniquities defile Your temple, but according to Your love, wash me and I shall be clean, and find for myself in You and with You communion with all Your saints. You have granted me Your Holy Spirit, the support and strength that keep me in Your love, therefore I bless You for this eternal gift, and in the Spirit I offer You my being; my body and spirit as a living sacrifice because You delight in this spiritual sacrifice.
