🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 292
DATE: 19TH OCTOBER,2025
TOPIC: FULFILLING YOUR DESTINY
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: Luke 14:27–30 (KJV)
27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— 29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’?
Devotional Message:
In a normal construction project, no builder begins to raise a house without first ensuring that all the necessary materials are available. Stones cannot hold without sand, and sand without water is useless. Each element is vital for completing the intended structure. Without proper resources and planning, the work remains incomplete.
In the same way, the Christian journey requires proper preparation and intentional investment. Starting your walk with God is like laying a foundation—it is only the beginning, not the completion. Many start well in the Spirit but fail to finish because they never counted the cost of what it takes to follow Christ wholeheartedly.
In Matthew 25, Jesus speaks of ten virgins—five wise and five foolish. The foolish ones had their lamps (a symbol of beginning well), but they lacked the extra oil (the resources and discipline needed to sustain the journey). They began, but could not finish. Their unpreparedness cost them the bridegroom’s presence.
Beloved, being a Christian doesn’t mean you’ve fulfilled your purpose. There is a price to pay to bring your destiny into completion—sacrifice, prayer, obedience, holiness, and dying to self. These are your spiritual “materials.” Without them, your spiritual building will remain incomplete.
To be wise, you must not only begin but also continue until you finish. You started in the Spirit; don’t end in the flesh. Don’t let heaven look upon your life as a half-built tower. The world mocks those who begin but do not finish—and worse still, it brings reproach to the name of God.
Therefore, rise today and start investing in your destiny. Strengthen your prayer life, deepen your fellowship with God, and build the inner strength needed to carry your cross daily. Heaven is watching. Don’t disappoint God—finish your race with joy.
PRAYER:
Father, help me to count the cost and walk faithfully with You until the end. Grant me the strength, wisdom, and grace to finish well and fulfill my destiny. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
