💬 The Intercession of the Holy Spirit Here are some examples of the Holy Spirit's intercession: 1-The Holy Spirit speaks in the believer's heart with the words of the Holy Revelation, and rebukes the soul, implanting with the rebuke a peace and joy without oppression and without domination, and comforts the soul with the living promises of God. 2-The Holy Spirit does not leave the soul, but encourages her with gentleness, and comforts the heart with perseverance, whispering in an unseen manner, and the voice of the Lord blends with human thought in a way the person does not notice, so that he thinks he is talking to himself. And if the person perseveres and continues in the life of communion, the Holy Spirit gives him determination, and thus he can cross the sea of the world's trials. 3- If a person inclines and turns towards sin and falls, he goes through a stage of spiritual darkness proportionate to the strength and domination of the lust, and when the effect of the pleasure fades and the person awakens like a sleeper from drinking wine, the Holy Spirit approaches quietly, and speaks to the soul in the heart, explaining to her the futility of sin, and how transgression corrupted the inner life. Here the Holy Spirit works like a doctor who reveals the disease and offers the medicine. 4- The Holy Spirit woos the soul, addressing her about her first love, and about prayer, praise, reading the Holy Scripture, the Church, love of the brethren, and other good works in which she received strength and comfort, in order to revive the seed of hope with the waters of the promises, and open for her the door of life anew. #HolySpirit #Intercession #Guidance #Comfort #Repentance #SpiritualLife
