🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 293
DATE: 20TH OCTOBER,2025
TOPIC: DO NOT ENTER MOAB
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: Ruth 1:1–3, 6 (KJV)
“Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.”
Devotional Message:

When famine struck Bethlehemjudah, Elimelech made a decision to leave the land of praise and go to Moab in search of greener pastures. What he didn’t know was that Moab would not accept his seed — he went in full but came out empty. His name, his heritage, and his sons were buried in a land that looked promising but carried hidden danger.

This mirrors what many believers do today — making decisions based on sight, not discernment. Judah may appear dry at times, but Moab is not the solution. The temporary comfort outside God’s will is always more dangerous than the drought within His will. The famine in Judah was a test, not a curse.

Just because things seem difficult in your “Judah” — your marriage, ministry, calling, or walk with God — does not mean you should run to “Moab.”Misunderstandings in marriage do not justify seeking another partner.Financial struggles do not mean you should abandon integrity.Ministry challenges do not mean you should compromise or manipulate.

Whatever you do, don’t leave Judah without divine direction. For some, entering Moab may mean entering a situation, relationship, or opportunity that looks appealing but drains your spiritual life and destiny.

Yet, Naomi’s story reminds us of redemption and mercy. Though she went out full and returned empty, she still chose to return to Judah — the place of praise, prayer, and restoration. Judah welcomed her back, and it was in Judah that her story was rewritten through Ruth.

Child of God, maybe you have wandered from the path of righteousness. Return to Judah — to the place of your making, the altar of prayer, the fellowship of believers, and obedience to God’s voice. There is still room for restoration.

Remember Lot — he also chose the greener plains of Jordan, but what looked fruitful turned into destruction. May God give you discernment not to be lured by the appearance of prosperity outside His will.

PRAYER:

Father, grant me the grace to remain in the place You have planted me, even when it seems dry. Deliver me from decisions based on sight and desire. Give me discernment to avoid the traps of Moab, and when I stray, help me to return quickly to Judah — the place of Your presence and purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
