Even without the New Testament, non-biblical sources still provide a reliable account of Jesus’ life and legacy. From these historical records, several consistent details emerge:

2. He was a teacher whose disciples preserved and spread His teachings.
3. He was said to have prophesied and performed miracles.
4. He was known for His wisdom and virtuous character.
5. He claimed to be God.
6. He was crucified under the authority of Pontius Pilate during the reign of Tiberius Caesar in Judea.
7. His death was reportedly accompanied by an earthquake and a period of darkness.
8. His followers claimed that He rose from the dead, appeared to them, and showed them the wounds in His hands.
9. His followers worshiped Him as God.
Belief in Jesus caused significant unrest among the Jews, prompting Emperor Claudius to issue a decree expelling the Jews from Rome (Acts 18:2), a fact also corroborated by historical sources such as the Roman historian Suetonius.
