🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 299 📅 DATE: 26TH OCTOBER, 2025 TOPIC: IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU ALONE ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: Exodus 20:5 (KJV) “Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.” Devotional Message: There is a clear difference between those who love God and those who hate Him. Those who love God obey His commandments and walk in His ways, while those who hate Him disregard His Word and live contrary to His will. The Scripture tells us that God “visits the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Him.” This means that sin does not end with the sinner. The consequences of disobedience often flow beyond one person — they ripple into generations. Many people today have normalized sin because they believe forgiveness is always available. Yes, God is merciful, but His mercy does not cancel divine justice. If judgment has already been pronounced, forgiveness may save the soul but not always erase the consequences. Look at Ahab. When he humbled himself before God, mercy was granted to him, yet the judgment upon his house was merely postponed, not cancelled. His children bore the weight of his iniquity — not because they sinned, but because he opened a door that affected them. Child of God, your actions today echo into tomorrow. Your obedience or rebellion will either bless or burden your generation. Don’t make your family, your children, or those connected to you suffer for your personal choices. Love God, obey His Word, and live uprightly before Him. Never normalize sin because there is grace. There is a day when mercy runs out, and the consequences of iniquity catch up. Make the choice to live righteously — not only for yourself but for your lineage. Let your obedience become a covering for generations to come. PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder that my choices affect generations. Help me to love You sincerely and to walk in obedience to Your Word. May my life bring blessings, not burdens, to those who come after me. Deliver me from every hidden iniquity and make me a vessel of righteousness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
