𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗙𝗥𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡. TOPIC: YOUR OWN SITUATION IS NOT THE WORST- BE GRATEFUL TO 𝗚𝗢𝗗. TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 MSG "No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; He'll never let you be pushed past your limit; He'll always be there to help you come through it" MESSAGE: One reason why many people are not grateful to God is because they think and feel that God is not faithful nor fair to them, or that their own situation is worse than that of everyone else in the world. But that is not true. Firstly, God is not responsible for the negative situations in your life. In Jeremiah 29:11, God said "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end" It is either you are personally responsible for the negative situations or the devil and his agents are. Proverbs 5:22 NLT says "An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him". John 10:10 referring to the devil and his agents as the thief says "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" Secondly, you have to understand that the faithfulness and the mercy of God is the reason why your situation is not worse than it is currently. Certain things may not be working in your life currently, but God's faithfulness is the reason why so many other things are working. Thirdly, you need to realize that some other people have passed through or are still passing through worse situations than whatever you think that you are passing through per time, and that alone should be enough reason to be grateful to God. Your situation currently may be that you are not yet married or that you don't have a Job yet; but do you realize that there are people out there who are not yet married, don't yet have a Job and still are in the prison for no just cause or are raving mad on the street? What do you think that you did or that you are doing better than such people? I used to think 𝗜 had problems until i come across blind people who have to depend on others for virtually everything. Whenever 𝗜 see blind people my heart go out for them and 𝗜 just feel it was better for God to just take them home to go and rest if He would not restore their sights, than for them to remain in that miserable state of having to depend on others for virtually everything. And you that you can see, you still think that God is not faithful to you because you don't yet have a job or not yet married? Do you realize that there are people in the hospital that are paying heavily to be assisted to breathe, urinate or pass out faeces on a daily basis? And you still think that you don't have reasons to be grateful to God? It's high time you ask God for mercy for ever complaining over petty issues in your life that can't even be compared with the more serious issues that others are going through. Maintain a consistent mood of gratitude to God as you trust Him to intervene in the various situations of your life. But by all means, ensure that you remain ever grateful to God for His faithfulness over your life irrespective of whatever you are going through per time.
