TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: 3 PLACES THE DEVIL ATTACKS MOST EASILY. Main Text: 1 Peter 5:8–9 Supporting Scriptures: Genesis 3:1–6; Matthew 4:1–11; Proverbs 4:23; Ephesians 6:10–18; James 4:7 The devil does not attack randomly. He studies weaknesses. He looks for openings. He watches for moments when our guard is down, and he tries to turn small weaknesses into major spiritual problems. The Bible says: > “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8 Notice the word “seeking.” The devil is looking for an opportunity. But here is the good news: you do not have to give him one! The devil may attack, but he does not have the final authority over a child of God. Jesus Christ has already defeated Satan through His death and resurrection. Today, we are going to examine three places where the enemy commonly finds an easy entry point—and how to close those doors. 1. THE MIND. The first battlefield is your mind. Before the devil controls someone's actions, he often tries to influence their thinking. This is exactly what happened in the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3:1–5 The serpent approached Eve and began a conversation. He questioned God's Word: “Hath God said...?” The enemy introduced doubt before introducing disobedience. That is his strategy. He whispers: “God doesn't really love you.” “You will never succeed.” “There is no hope for you.” “Everybody is against you.” “Just give up.” “God will not forgive you.” “You don't need God.” “Everybody else is doing it, so it must be okay.” If you entertain the wrong thought long enough, it can become a belief. And what you believe eventually influences how you live. Romans 12:2 > “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” God wants to transform your life by transforming your thinking. Biblical Example: Jesus in the Wilderness In Matthew 4, Satan attacked Jesus with temptation. But Jesus did not argue with him emotionally. He answered with the Word of God: > “It is written...” Thee times the enemy attacked, and three times Jesus responded with Scripture. Spiritual Insight. You cannot stop every thought from entering your mind, but you can decide which thoughts are allowed to stay. Not every thought deserves your agreement. Practical Action When a negative thought comes: STOP → TEST IT → REPLACE IT. Ask: > “Does this thought agree with God's Word?” If it doesn't, reject it and replace it with Scripture. 2. YOUR EMOTIONS AND RELATIONSHIPS. The second place the enemy easily exploits is uncontrolled emotions and damaged relationships. Ephesians 4:26–27 > “Be ye angry, and sin not... Neither give place to the devil.” This is powerful. Paul connects unresolved anger with giving the devil a place. Notice that the Bible does not say you will never become angry. The issue is what you do with the anger. Anger that is not surrendered to God can become: Bitterness Hatred Revenge Unforgiveness Suspicion Division Isolation And once relationships begin to break down, the enemy can use the brokenness to create further damage. Case Study: Cain and Abel Genesis 4 tells us that Cain became angry and jealous of his brother Abel. God warned Cain. > “Sin lieth at the door.” — Genesis 4:7 Cain refused to deal with what was happening inside him. Eventually, his anger produced murder. The problem started in the heart before it appeared in his hands. Think about this: How many families have been damaged because somebody refused to forgive? How many friendships have ended because of pride? How many marriages have suffered because people allowed anger to become a lifestyle? How many churches have experienced division because people refused to settle offenses biblically? Spiritual Insight. The enemy loves an offended heart because an offended heart can become a prison. Forgiveness does not mean what happened was right. Forgiveness means: “I refuse to allow what happened to control my future.” Practical Action Deal with offenses quickly. Pray for those who hurt you. Apologize when you are wrong. Don't allow pride to destroy relationships God gave you. 3. YOUR WEAKNESS AND UNGUARDED DESIRES. The third place the enemy often attacks is our areas of weakness. Everybody has vulnerable areas. For one person, it may be sexual temptation. For another, money. For another, pride. For another, anger. For another, addiction. For another, the desire for recognition. The enemy studies those weaknesses. James 1:14–15 James explains that a person can be drawn away by his own desires. This teaches us something important: Not every battle begins outside you. Some battles begin with an unguarded desire inside you. David's Example King David was a powerful man of God, but he was not immune to temptation. In 2 Samuel 11, David saw Bathsheba. He looked. He desired. He acted. Then he tried to cover his sin. One wrong decision opened the door to another. Temptation rarely announces the destruction it is carrying. It often looks attractive at first. Spiritual Insight The enemy does not always come looking like a demon. Sometimes temptation comes looking like: an opportunity, a relationship, money, pleasure, recognition, or an innocent decision. That is why we need spiritual discernment. 1 Corinthians 10:12 > “Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” Never become so spiritually confident that you stop being spiritually careful. THREE DOORS TO GUARD. Let's make this very simple: 1. GUARD YOUR MIND. Don't believe every thought. 2. GUARD YOUR HEART Don't allow anger, bitterness and unforgiveness to grow. 3. GUARD YOUR WEAK AREAS Know your vulnerabilities and establish boundaries around them. HOW DO WE RESIST THE DEVIL? 1. STAY IN THE WORD. Jesus defeated temptation with: > “It is written.” A Bible that stays closed cannot strengthen a believer who is under attack. 2. MAINTAIN A STRONG PRAYER LIFE. Prayer keeps your spiritual senses awake. Jesus told His disciples: > “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.” — Matthew 26:41 3. CLOSE EVERY OPEN DOOR. Don't knowingly entertain what God has instructed you to reject. Sometimes spiritual warfare is not about casting out something. Sometimes it is about stopping something. Stop the conversation. Stop the relationship. Stop visiting the place. Stop watching the content. Stop feeding the habit. Stop entertaining the thought. 4. SUBMIT YOURSELF TO GOD. James 4:7 > “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Notice the order: Submit → Resist → Victory. You cannot successfully resist the devil while refusing to submit yourself to God. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. What kind of thoughts have been occupying my mind lately? 2. Is there any bitterness or unforgiveness in my heart? 3. What is my greatest spiritual vulnerability? 4. Am I giving the enemy an opportunity through any habit or relationship? 5. Am I spending more time listening to the world than listening to God's Word? 6. What door do I need to close today? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Father, cleanse my mind from every thought that is contrary to Your Word, in Jesus' name. 2. Lord, remove every root of bitterness, anger and unforgiveness from my heart. 3. Father, expose every weakness in my life that the enemy is trying to exploit. 4. Every door I have opened to the enemy knowingly or unknowingly, Lord, give me grace to close it completely. 5. I receive spiritual strength to resist every temptation that comes against my life. 6. Every satanic strategy against my family, destiny and spiritual life, let it fail in the name of Jesus. 7. Lord, make me spiritually alert, prayerful, discerning and grounded in Your Word. 8. I declare that Satan will not have dominion over my mind, my heart, my desires or my destiny, in Jesus' name. Amen! STRONG CLOSING CALL TO ACTION. Child of God, don't spend your whole life fighting battles that you could have prevented by closing the door. Guard your mind. Guard your heart Guard your desires. Watch what you listen to. Watch what you watch. Watch who influences you. Watch what you entertain. And above everything else, stay close to Jesus. The devil is real, but Jesus is greater. The enemy attacks, but Christ has already won the victory. You don't have to live in fear. You must live in watchfulness, prayer, obedience and faith. Today, close the door. Close the door to bitterness. Close the door to compromise. Close the door to ungodly influences. Close the door to destructive thoughts. Close the door to secret sin. And open your heart completely to Jesus. > “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7 The enemy may knock, but you don't have to open the door. STAND FIRM. STAY WATCHFUL. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: THE POWER OF A PRECONCEIVED MIND. Main Text: Proverbs 23:7; Romans 12:2 Theme: What you continually believe in your mind can influence how you see God, yourself, people, and your possibilities. There is a battle that can be more dangerous than the battle around you—the battle inside your mind. Sometimes, the greatest thing standing between a person and what God wants to do is not the devil, lack of opportunity, or opposition. It is a conclusion already formed in the mind. A person can look at a new opportunity and say, “It will not work.” They can hear God's Word and say, “That promise is not for me.” They can meet someone and immediately decide, “I know the kind of person this is.” That is the power of a preconceived mind. A preconceived mind reaches a conclusion before receiving all the facts. It creates a mental picture and then interprets everything through that picture. The danger is this: When the mind has already decided what is possible, it can prevent the person from recognizing what God is doing. 1. YOUR MIND CAN BECOME THE LENS THROUGH WHICH YOU SEE LIFE. Proverbs 23:7 > “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Your thoughts influence your attitudes, decisions, expectations, and actions. If you constantly think: “I cannot succeed.” “Nobody loves me.” “God will not answer my prayer.” “People like me never get opportunities.” “I have failed before, so I will fail again.” You may eventually begin living according to those conclusions. This does not mean that every thought becomes reality simply because we think it. Rather, our thinking strongly influences how we respond to reality. Romans 12:2 Paul says: > “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Notice that Paul did not only say, “Change your environment.” He said, renew your mind. Sometimes God wants to change your situation, but He first wants to change the way you see the situation. Spiritual insight: A renewed mind can see possibility where an unrenewed mind sees impossibility. 2. PRECONCEIVED IDEAS CAN BLIND YOU TO GOD'S WORK. One of the clearest biblical examples is found in John 1:46. When Nathanael heard about Jesus of Nazareth, he asked: > “Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Nathanael had already formed an opinion. His problem was not that he had investigated Jesus and rejected Him after careful examination. He had a preconceived idea about Nazareth. His conclusion came before his encounter. But Philip gave him a simple answer: > “Come and see.” That is powerful. Sometimes you need to stop saying, “I already know,” and become humble enough to say, “Let me see what God is doing.” Beware of sentences like: “That church can never produce anything.” “That person can never change.” “Young people cannot handle spiritual responsibility.” “Older people cannot understand technology.” “God cannot use somebody like me.” “Nothing good can come from this situation.” Be careful. You may be placing a limitation on something God has not limited. 3. A PRECONCEIVED MIND CAN MAKE YOU REJECT YOUR OWN BLESSING. Consider the Israelites in the wilderness. When the twelve spies returned from Canaan, ten saw giants and concluded: “We are not able to go up.” —Numbers 13:31 Joshua and Caleb saw the same land. They saw the same giants. They saw the same fortified cities. But they had a different interpretation. Caleb declared: > “Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.” —Numbers 13:30 Same land. Same giants. Same evidence. Different mindset. Ten spies interpreted the situation through fear. Joshua and Caleb interpreted it through God's promise. Here is the lesson: What you believe about your situation will influence what you do about your situation. If you believe there is no future, you may stop trying. If you believe God can help you, you will keep moving. If you believe your failure is final, you may never attempt again. But if you believe God's grace can restore you, you will rise again. 4. DON'T ALLOW YESTERDAY TO BECOME YOUR PROPHECY FOR TOMORROW. One of the strongest forms of preconceived thinking is based on past experiences. You tried something once and failed. Someone betrayed you. A business collapsed. A relationship ended. A ministry effort did not produce the expected result. And now the mind says: “Never again.” But yesterday's experience is not necessarily tomorrow's destiny. Isaiah 43:18–19 God says: > “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing.” God was teaching His people not to allow the past to prevent them from recognizing the new thing He was doing. Your past is a teacher, not your master. Learn from yesterday, but don't worship yesterday. 5. BRING YOUR MIND UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF GOD'S WORD. The solution is not to become a person who believes everything. The solution is to become a person whose mind is submitted to God's truth. 2 Corinthians 10:5 Paul says: > “Bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Not every thought deserves to live in your mind. Some thoughts must be challenged. Some thoughts must be rejected. Some thoughts must be replaced with Scripture. When your mind says: “I am finished.” God's Word says: > “My grace is sufficient for thee.” —2 Corinthians 12:9 When your mind says: “I cannot do this.” God's Word reminds you: > “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” —Philippians 4:13 When your mind says: “There is no hope.” God's Word says: > “With God all things are possible.” —Matthew 19:26 BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: THE TEN SPIES. The story of the twelve spies is a powerful picture of how perception can influence destiny. God had already promised Israel the land. They entered the land and saw its fruit. But they also saw giants. Ten spies said: “We cannot.” Two spies said: “We can.” The difference was not the size of the giants. The difference was the size of their understanding of God. The ten spies allowed the giants to become bigger than God's promise. Joshua and Caleb allowed God's promise to become bigger than the giants. Never measure your future only by what your eyes can see. Measure your situation by the faithfulness and power of God. PRACTICAL ACTION STEP. 1. Examine your conclusions. Ask yourself: “Why do I believe this?” Is it Scripture? Is it fact? Or is it simply an assumption? 2. Challenge negative thoughts. When a thought enters your mind, don't automatically accept it. Ask: “Does this agree with God's Word?” 3. Stop judging too quickly. Give people room to grow. Give situations room to develop. Give God room to surprise you. 4. Expose yourself to God's Word. A mind filled with God's Word becomes better equipped to recognize lies. Read the Bible. Meditate on Scripture. Listen to sound biblical teaching. Pray. 5. Be willing to say, “I may be wrong.” Humility protects the mind from becoming a prison. You do not lose greatness by admitting that your previous understanding was incomplete. 6. Replace limiting beliefs with biblical truth. Don't merely say: “I won't think negatively.” Replace the thought with truth. Fear → Faith Hopelessness → Hope Confusion → God's wisdom Rejection → God's acceptance Failure → Opportunity to learn and grow DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS. 1. An open door can look like a wall to a closed mind. Sometimes the opportunity is present, but your perception prevents you from seeing it. 2. Familiarity can make people miss miracles. The people of Nazareth knew Jesus according to the flesh and struggled to receive Him. Never allow familiarity to make you blind to God's activity. 3. Faith does not deny reality; it refuses to make reality bigger than God. The giants were real. But God was greater. 4. The mind must be renewed continually. Yesterday's revelation must not become today's excuse for refusing further growth. God wants you to keep learning. Keep growing. Keep listening. Keep discerning QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. What conclusion have I formed without having all the facts? 2. Have past experiences created fear about my future? 3. Do I judge people based on their past instead of allowing room for change? 4. What negative belief about myself contradicts God's Word? 5. Am I allowing fear to speak louder than God's promises? 6. Where is God asking me to “come and see” instead of assuming I already know? 7. What thought do I need to bring into captivity today? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Father, renew my mind and deliver me from every wrong mindset, in Jesus' name. 2. Lord, expose every false conclusion I have accepted about myself, my future, and others. 3. Father, deliver me from the limitations created by fear, disappointment, and past experiences. 4. Give me spiritual discernment to see people and situations according to Your truth. 5. Lord, help me to recognize every new thing You are doing in my life. 6. Every thought that contradicts God's Word, I bring it under the authority of Christ. 7. Father, give me the faith of Joshua and Caleb—the faith to see Your promise beyond the giants. 8. Lord, let my mind become a place where faith, wisdom, truth, and godly thoughts dwell. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen! STRONG CLOSING CALL. Beloved, your mind is powerful, but it must not become your master. Do not allow one bad experience to write the story of your entire life. Do not allow somebody's opinion to become God's opinion about you. Do not allow yesterday's failure to cancel tomorrow's possibility. And do not allow a preconceived mind to make you reject what God is bringing into your life. Nathanael said: “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip answered: “Come and see.” Today, God may be saying the same thing to you: “Stop assuming. Come and see.” There may be something God wants to show you that your preconceived mind has prevented you from seeing. Renew your mind. Open your heart. Search the Scriptures. Walk by faith. And give God room to do a new thing. Your mind should not become the prison of your destiny. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: CLEAR THE NOISE TO HEAR GOD'S VOICE. Main Text: 1 Kings 19:11–12 «“And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.”» Supporting Scriptures: - John 10:27 — “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” - Psalm 46:10 — “Be still, and know that I am God.” - Isaiah 30:21 — “This is the way, walk ye in it.” - Jeremiah 29:13 — “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” We are living in a noisy generation. Our phones are noisy. Social media is noisy. News is noisy. Opinions are noisy. Friends are noisy. Fear is noisy. Even our own minds can be noisy. Everybody has something to say. But here is the danger: when everything is speaking, it becomes difficult to recognize the voice that matters most. God is still speaking. The problem is not always that God has stopped speaking. Sometimes we have become too distracted to listen. A radio may be working perfectly, but if it is tuned to the wrong frequency, you will hear noise instead of the station. In the same way, God may be speaking, but a heart crowded with distractions, fear, worldly opinions and uncontrolled desires may struggle to recognize His voice. You cannot hear clearly when your life is constantly loud. Sometimes the greatest spiritual discipline is not speaking more to God, but becoming quiet enough to hear Him. 1. GOD STILL SPEAKS TO HIS PEOPLE. John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” Jesus did not say, “My sheep occasionally hear my voice.” He said, “My sheep hear my voice.” God is not a silent God. From Genesis to Revelation, we see God communicating with humanity. He spoke to Abraham. He spoke to Moses. He spoke to Samuel. He spoke to Elijah. He spoke through the prophets. He spoke through Jesus Christ. And He continues to guide His people through His Word and by the Holy Spirit. But hearing God requires relationship. Sheep recognize the shepherd because they spend time around the shepherd. The closer you walk with God, the more familiar His voice becomes. God's voice will never contradict God's Word. If what you think you heard from God contradicts Scripture, it is not God's voice. Spiritual Insight. God's voice brings direction, conviction, correction, wisdom and peace. The enemy often produces confusion, condemnation and destructive fear. Learn the difference. 2. TOO MUCH NOISE CAN DROWN OUT GOD'S VOICE 1 Kings 19:11–12 Elijah had experienced one of the greatest victories in his ministry. Yet immediately afterward, fear entered his heart. God told him to stand on the mountain. There was a great wind. Then an earthquake. Then a fire. But Scripture says God was not in those dramatic manifestations. Then came “a still small voice.” Elijah recognized it. Why? Because sometimes God does not compete with the noise. God often speaks in the quiet place. What are some noises competing for your attention? The noise of fear: “What if everything goes wrong?” The noise of people: “What will everybody say?” The noise of comparison: “Why is everyone progressing except me?” The noise of social media: “What is everybody doing?” The noise of sin: “You can live however you want.” The noise of anxiety: “You must solve everything today.” If you listen to every voice around you, you may lose sensitivity to the voice above you. Remember: Not every voice deserves your attention. Some voices must be muted. Some conversations must be avoided. Some relationships must be re-evaluated. Some habits must be surrendered. Some notifications must be turned off. Because what constantly occupies your attention will eventually influence your direction. 3. YOU MUST LEARN TO BE STILL. Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God.” Stillness is not laziness. Stillness is spiritual positioning. It is saying: «“Lord, I have spoken enough. Now I want to listen.”» Many believers have mastered the art of talking to God but have not learned the discipline of waiting before God. Prayer is not merely presenting your shopping list to heaven. Prayer is fellowship. Prayer includes speaking. Prayer includes listening. Prayer includes waiting. Jesus Himself valued solitude. Luke 5:16 says: “And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.” If Jesus deliberately withdrew from the crowd to pray, how much more do we need moments of solitude? You cannot live permanently in noise and expect to maintain spiritual sensitivity. Create moments when the phone is silent. Create moments when television is off. Create moments when social media is closed. Open your Bible. Pray. Be still. Listen. 4. GOD'S WORD IS THE PRIMARY FILTER FOR EVERY VOICE. Isaiah 30:21 “This is the way, walk ye in it.” God's Word gives us the foundation for recognizing His direction. There are many voices in the world claiming to have the answer. But the question is not: “Does this sound good?” The question is: “Does this agree with God's Word?” Someone may tell you: “Everybody is doing it.” But Scripture asks: Is it right? Someone may tell you: “Follow your heart.” But Scripture warns us about trusting a heart that has not been surrendered to God. Someone may say: “Take revenge.” But Jesus teaches forgiveness. Someone may say: “Compromise your convictions for success.” But God's Word teaches faithfulness. The Bible is your spiritual filter. Before accepting a voice, test it. Before following an opportunity, pray. Before making a major decision, seek God's wisdom. Before believing a prophecy, compare it with Scripture. The voice of God will never need the approval of the devil to become true. 5. HEARING GOD IS NOT ENOUGH — YOU MUST OBEY. James 1:22 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only.” There are people who hear sermons every Sunday. They listen to Christian messages online. They attend Bible studies. They watch Christian videos. They read devotionals. But hearing without obedience produces very little transformation. God does not speak merely to inform you. He speaks to transform you and direct your steps. When God says forgive—obey. When God says stop—stop. When God says go—go. When God says wait—wait. When God says give—give. When God says repent—repent. When God says reconcile—reconcile. Sometimes we say: “God, speak to me.” But God is saying: “You have not obeyed what I already told you.” The next level of revelation may be connected to your obedience to the last instruction God gave you. BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: SAMUEL LEARNS TO HEAR GOD. 1 Samuel 3:1–10 Samuel was serving in the house of God when he heard his name being called. He ran to Eli. But Eli had not called him. This happened again. Eventually Eli understood that God was calling Samuel. He instructed him: “Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth.” That became Samuel's posture. Not: “Speak, Lord, because I have an opinion.” Not: “Speak, Lord, because I already know what I want.” But: “Your servant is listening.” That is the heart God wants. The question is not only: “God, are You speaking?” The deeper question is: “Lord, am I listening?” PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS: HOW TO CLEAR THE NOISE. 1. Create a daily quiet time. Give God uninterrupted time every day. Even if it begins with 15–20 minutes, be consistent. 2. Reduce unnecessary digital noise. You do not have to respond to every message. You do not have to watch every video. You do not have to follow every trend. Protect your attention. 3. Read Scripture before consuming opinions. Before Facebook tells you what to think, let God's Word shape your thinking. Before social media gives you direction, seek God's direction. 4. Practice silent prayer. After speaking to God, sit quietly. Say: “Lord, speak to me through Your Word and guide my heart.” Then listen. 5. Test every voice. Ask: - Does this agree with Scripture? - Does it draw me closer to Christ? - Does it produce godly fruit? - Is it consistent with God's character? - Have I prayed about it? 6. Obey what God has already revealed. Do not keep asking for a new instruction while ignoring an old one. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS. 1. Silence is not the absence of God. Sometimes silence is where God prepares you to recognize His voice. 2. God's voice may be gentle but powerful. A whisper from God can redirect an entire lifetime. 3. Distraction is a spiritual battle. The enemy does not always need to make you hate God. Sometimes he only needs to keep you too distracted to seek God. 4. God's voice produces movement. When God speaks, He often calls us to respond. Revelation should lead to transformation. 5. The more you obey, the more sensitive you become. Spiritual hearing develops through relationship and obedience. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. What is currently making the most noise in my life? 2. Am I spending more time consuming people's opinions than God's Word? 3. When was the last time I intentionally sat quietly before God? 4. Is there something God has already told me to do that I am delaying? 5. Are there relationships, habits or distractions that are weakening my sensitivity to God? 6. If God spoke to me today, would I be willing to obey? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Father, silence every voice competing with Your voice in my life, in Jesus' name. 2. Lord, give me spiritual ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying to me. 3. Father, deliver me from every distraction that is taking me away from Your presence. 4. Lord, help me distinguish Your voice from the voices of fear, confusion, temptation and worldly pressure. 5. Father, give me grace to obey every instruction You give me through Your Word. 6. Lord, restore my hunger for prayer, Scripture and Your presence. 7. Father, when I am confused about my next step, guide me clearly and establish my path. 8. Holy Spirit, make my heart sensitive to Your leading and quick to obey. CALL TO ACTION. Beloved, God is still speaking. The question is: Are you listening? You cannot control every voice around you, but you can control what you give your attention to. Turn down the noise. Put down the phone. Step away from unnecessary arguments. Stop allowing everybody's opinion to become your compass. Open your Bible. Enter your prayer closet. Become still. And say: “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.” There is a word God wants you to hear. There is direction you need. There is correction you may need to receive. There is an assignment waiting for your obedience. There is a purpose that requires your attention. Clear the noise. Quiet your heart. Open your spirit. Listen for God. And when He speaks— OBEY. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: 5 THINGS CHRISTIAN WOMEN NEED TO STOP WEARING. Theme: When Your Outward Appearance Speaks Louder Than Your Christian Identity Key Texts: 1 Peter 3:3–4 1 Timothy 2:9–10 Proverbs 31:25–26 Colossians 3:12 Galatians 5:22–23 A woman can wear an expensive dress and still carry a wounded heart. She can look beautiful on the outside while bitterness, pride, insecurity, jealousy, or unforgiveness is destroying her on the inside. God is not against Christian women looking beautiful. God is concerned about what beauty is communicating and what is happening beneath the beauty. There are things that Christian women must stop wearing—not necessarily clothes, but attitudes, behaviours and spiritual garments that do not represent Christ. The question today is not simply: > “What are you wearing?” The deeper question is: > “What are you carrying?” Because sometimes the greatest garment you need to remove is not hanging in your wardrobe. It is hanging on your character. 1. STOP WEARING BITTERNESS. Hebrews 12:15: “Looking diligently lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you…” Bitterness is dangerous because it begins as a wound but eventually becomes a garment. Someone hurt you. Someone disappointed you. Someone betrayed you. Someone spoke against you. But the longer you hold it, the more it begins to shape your personality. What does bitterness look like? Always remembering what people did against you. Finding it difficult to forgive. Becoming suspicious of everyone. Repeating old offences. Punishing innocent people for what someone else did. Ephesians 4:31–32 tells believers to put away bitterness, wrath and anger and to be kind and forgiving. Spiritual insight. You cannot change yesterday, but you can refuse to let yesterday control your tomorrow. Forgiveness does not mean what happened was acceptable. It means you refuse to allow the offender to continue controlling your heart. Say: “I will not wear the garment of bitterness. I choose forgiveness.” 2. STOP WEARING INSECURITY Many women spend their lives comparing themselves with other women. “She is prettier than me.” “She has a better marriage.” “She has more money.” “She has more followers.” “She dresses better.” “She is more successful.” But comparison can make you despise the person God created you to be. Psalm 139:14: “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” You were not created to become somebody else. You were created to become everything God designed you to be. Biblical example: Leah and Rachel Genesis 29–30 presents a painful family situation where Leah lived with the reality that Jacob loved Rachel more. Leah could have spent her entire life competing for another woman's position. But God saw Leah. Genesis 29:31 says, “The LORD saw that Leah was hated.” What people overlook, God sees. Spiritual insight. Your value does not come from human applause. Your value comes from the God who created you. Stop wearing insecurity. Put on confidence in Christ. 3. STOP WEARING PRIDE. Pride can hide underneath beautiful clothing, ministry titles, education, money and even spiritual gifts. A woman can look humble and still have a proud heart. Proverbs 16:18: “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” Christian maturity is not demonstrated by how loudly we announce our importance. It is demonstrated by how willingly we serve others. Jesus had every reason to exalt Himself, yet He demonstrated humility. Philippians 2:5–7 teaches us about Christ's humility. Signs of spiritual pride “I know more than everybody.” Refusing correction. Looking down on people. Believing your position makes you superior. Finding it difficult to apologize. Wanting recognition for everything you do. Spiritual insight. The higher God takes you, the more humble you should become. A crown without character can become a burden. 4. STOP WEARING JEALOUSY AND ENVY. Jealousy says: > “Why her? Faith says: > “God can do it for me too. Envy becomes uncomfortable when another woman succeeds. Instead of celebrating her, you begin looking for reasons why she does not deserve it. But Scripture teaches us: Galatians 5:26: “Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” Another woman's blessing does not cancel your own destiny. Think about Mary and Elizabeth In Luke 1, Mary became pregnant by the power of the Holy Spirit, while Elizabeth was also experiencing God's intervention. Their stories were different, but God's purpose was working in both women. You don't have to destroy another woman's light for yours to shine. Spiritual insight. Kingdom women do not compete destructively; they encourage, support and strengthen one another. Learn to say: > “Sister, I celebrate what God is doing in your life.” 5. STOP WEARING AN UNCONTROLLD TONGUE. This may be one of the most dangerous garments. A beautiful appearance cannot compensate for a destructive tongue. Proverbs 31:26: “She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.” Notice that Scripture connects wisdom with the tongue. Ask yourself: What happens when you become angry? Do you insult? Do you expose people's secrets? Do you gossip? Do you destroy someone's reputation? Do you use social media to attack people? Do you speak words you later regret? James 3:5–6 warns us about the power of the tongue. Your mouth can build a home or destroy one. It can encourage a child or break that child's confidence. It can strengthen a marriage or create wounds. It can bring healing or spread destruction. Spiritual insight. Before you speak, ask: “Will these words represent Christ?” Not everything you know needs to be said. Not every battle deserves a response. Not every offence requires a public announcement. Sometimes silence is spiritual wisdom. 📖 BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: ABIGAIL. Read 1 Samuel 25. Abigail was married to Nabal, a foolish and harsh man. David became angry because of Nabal's behaviour and was preparing to retaliate. Abigail intervened wisely. She did not wear the garment of foolishness. She did not respond to anger with more anger. She used wisdom, humility and gracious speech to prevent destruction. David eventually recognized her wisdom. Lesson A godly woman can change the atmosphere around her without becoming like the atmosphere around her. Your environment may be difficult, but you can still carry Christ's character. 👗 WHAT SHOULD CHRISTIAN WOMEN WEAR INSTEAD? The Bible gives us a better wardrobe. 1. Wear LOVE Colossians 3:14 Love should become your lifestyle. 2. Wear HUMILITY 1 Peter 5:5 Don't allow success to make you unteachable. 3. Wear KINDNESS Colossians 3:12 Let people experience the kindness of Christ through you. 4. Wear WISDOM Proverbs 31:26 Think before you speak. 5. Wear STRENGTH AND DIGNITY Proverbs 31:25 A godly woman does not need to destroy others to prove herself. 🔥 PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS. This week: 1. Forgive someone you have been carrying in your heart. 2. Stop comparing yourself with another woman. 3. Accept correction without becoming defensive. 4. Celebrate another woman's success sincerely. 5. Control your tongue—especially when angry. 6. Examine your social media behaviour. 7. Spend time with God before allowing society to define your identity. 🤔 QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. What emotional garment have I been wearing that God wants me to remove? 2. Is there someone I need to forgive? 3. Do I secretly compare myself with other women? 4. How do I respond when another woman succeeds? 5. What does my speech reveal about my heart? 6. If someone watched my life without hearing my testimony, would they see Christ? 🙏 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Father, search my heart and remove every attitude that does not represent Christ. 2. Lord, deliver me from bitterness and give me grace to forgive. 3. Father, heal every insecurity and help me see myself through Your eyes. 4. Lord, remove pride from my heart and clothe me with humility. 5. Father, deliver me from jealousy and comparison. 6. Lord, put wisdom in my mouth and kindness in my speech. 7. Make me a woman whose character brings glory to Your name. 8. Father, let my beauty be more than outward appearance; let Christ be seen in my life. 🔥 STRONG CLOSING CALL TO ACTION. Dear Christian woman, God is not merely looking at what you wear to church. He is looking at what you wear in your heart. You may change your dress. You may change your hairstyle. You may change your shoes. But if bitterness remains, the real problem remains. If pride remains, the real problem remains. If jealousy remains, the real problem remains. If insecurity remains, the real problem remains. If an uncontrolled tongue remains, the real problem remains. Today, take off the old garments. Take off bitterness. Take off insecurity. Take off pride. Take off jealousy. Take off destructive speech. And put on love, humility, wisdom, kindness, strength and the character of Christ. The world does not only need Christian women who look different. It needs Christian women who live differently. Your greatest beauty is not what people see on you. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: UNLOCKING THE POWER OF UNBELIEF. Theme: When Doubt Becomes a Door That Keeps God’s Power Out. Main Text: Mark 6:5–6 Supporting Texts: Mark 9:23–24; Hebrews 11:6; James 1:6–8; Matthew 13:58 There is something more powerful than many people realize. It is not money. It is not education. It is not position. It is not even opposition. It is unbelief. Unbelief can make a person stand in front of a miracle and still miss it. Jesus went to His hometown, and the Bible says: > “And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.” — Mark 6:5 Think about that. The problem was not that Jesus had lost His power. The problem was that their unbelief restricted what they were willing to receive from Him. Sometimes we are asking God, “Lord, why haven't You done it?” But heaven may be asking us: “What have you believed about Me?” Unbelief is not simply saying, “I don't believe.” Sometimes unbelief sounds like: “God can do it for others, but not for me.” “My situation is too difficult.” “I have prayed before and nothing happened.” “Maybe God has forgotten me.” “I don't think my life can change.” “There is no way forward.” Today, God wants to expose unbelief—not to condemn us, but to replace doubt with faith. 1. WHAT IS UNBELIEF? Unbelief is more than intellectual doubt. Biblically, unbelief is a refusal to trust God, His character, His Word, or His promises. Hebrews 11:6 says: > “But without faith it is impossible to please him…” Faith says: “God said it, therefore I will trust Him.” Unbelief says: “I can see the problem, therefore I cannot trust the promise.” The danger is that unbelief makes us judge God's ability by our circumstances. But God is not limited by what you see. Consider Abraham. God promised Abraham a son when natural circumstances made the promise look impossible. Romans 4:20 says Abraham: > “...staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith…” Abraham had a choice: Believe the circumstances or believe God. He chose God. 2. UNBELIEF CAN BECOME A BARRIER TO RECEIVING WHAT GOD WANTS TO DO Look again at Jesus' hometown. Matthew 13:58 says: > “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” Notice something important: Jesus was physically present. The power was present. The opportunity was present. But unbelief was also present. This teaches us something powerful: God's power is unlimited, but our unbelief can affect our willingness and capacity to receive what He is doing. The people knew Jesus according to His human background. They said, essentially: “Isn't this the carpenter?” They became so familiar with Jesus that they could no longer recognize His divine authority. Familiarity can produce unbelief. You can become so familiar with God's Word that you stop expecting God's Word to transform you. You can hear testimonies every Sunday but believe nothing will happen in your own life. You can pray without expecting an answer. You can attend church while your heart remains closed. Don't allow familiarity to kill expectation. 3. UNBELIEF OFTEN GROWS WHEN WE FOCUS MORE ON WHAT WE SEE THAN WHAT GOD HAS SAID. Peter gives us a powerful example. In Matthew 14:28–31, Peter walked on water because Jesus said: > “Come.” As long as Peter focused on Jesus, he walked. But when he saw the wind and the waves, fear entered. He began to sink. What changed? The storm did not become more powerful than Jesus. Peter's focus changed. He moved his attention: from the Word → to the waves. Many Christians are doing the same thing. God says: “I am with you.” But you look at your situation and say: “I am alone.” God says: “I will never leave thee.” But your circumstances say: “You have been abandoned.” God says: “I can do all things.” But your mind says: “This is impossible.” The battle is often between what God has said and what circumstances are saying. 4. FAITH DOES NOT DENY THE PROBLEM—FAITH DECLARES THAT GOD IS GREATER THAN THE PROBLEM. This is important. Faith does not mean pretending that problems do not exist. David saw Goliath. He did not say: “Goliath is not there.” He said: > “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” — 1 Samuel 17:26 David acknowledged the giant. But he did not magnify the giant above God. Faith is not blindness. Faith is seeing the problem through the greatness of God. The disciples saw five loaves and two fish. Jesus saw an opportunity for a miracle. The Israelites saw giants in Canaan. Joshua and Caleb saw a God who could give them the land. Numbers 13:30 says Caleb: > “Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.” Same land. Same giants. Same circumstances. Different perspective. 5. YOU CAN CONFRONT UNBELIEF AND BUILD YOUR FAITH. One of the most beautiful prayers in Scripture is found in Mark 9:24. A desperate father cried: > “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” What honesty! He did not pretend to have perfect faith. He brought his struggle to Jesus. And that is the answer. Don't hide your unbelief from God. Bring it to God. If you are struggling to believe, say: “Lord, help my unbelief.” If you are afraid, say: “Lord, strengthen my faith.” If disappointment has damaged your expectation, say: “Lord, teach me to trust You again.” God can work with an honest heart that is willing to trust Him. 📖 BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: ZACHARIAS AND MARY. Consider two people who received supernatural announcements. The angel told Zacharias that he and Elizabeth would have a child. Zacharias asked: > “Whereby shall I know this?” — Luke 1:18 His response revealed doubt. Later, the angel Gabriel came to Mary and announced that she would give birth to Jesus. Mary also asked a question: > “How shall this be?” — Luke 1:34 But there is a difference. Zacharias was essentially asking: “How can I know this will happen?” Mary was asking: “How will God accomplish this?” One questioned God's ability to fulfill the promise. The other sought understanding while remaining open to God's Word. There is a difference between asking God questions and questioning God's faithfulness. God is not afraid of sincere questions. But we must be careful not to allow questions to become excuses for disobedience. 🔥 DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS. 1. Unbelief can disguise itself as wisdom. Sometimes we call unbelief “being realistic.” But biblical faith understands that God is greater than human limitations. 2. Past disappointment can produce present unbelief. You prayed before. You waited. You were disappointed. Now you are afraid to expect again. But yesterday's disappointment does not cancel God's ability today. 3. Familiarity can weaken expectation. The people of Nazareth knew Jesus physically but failed to recognize Him spiritually. Don't become so familiar with Christianity that you lose your hunger for God. 4. Faith grows through exposure to God's Word. Romans 10:17 says: > “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” If you constantly feed your mind with fear, your faith will become weak. Feed your spirit with God's Word. 5. Faith must eventually produce action. James 2:17 teaches that faith without corresponding works is dead. If you believe God has called you to something, take the next obedient step. 🛠️ PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS. 1. Identify the area where unbelief has entered. Ask yourself: “What have I stopped believing God can do?” Be honest. 2. Find God's Word concerning that area. Don't fight unbelief with positive thinking alone. Fight it with truth. 3. Stop feeding your fear. Be careful what you constantly watch, listen to, and meditate upon. 4. Begin thanking God before you see the result. Thanksgiving demonstrates trust. 5. Take one step of obedience. Faith is not merely believing something internally. Faith moves. 6. Surround yourself with people who strengthen your faith. Your environment matters. Choose relationships that encourage you to trust God, obey God, and pursue righteousness. 🤔 QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. What promise of God am I currently struggling to believe? 2. Has a past disappointment weakened my faith? 3. Am I focusing more on my problem than on God's power? 4. Have I become too familiar with spiritual things? 5. What step of obedience am I avoiding because of fear? 6. What Scripture can I meditate on to strengthen my faith? 7. Can I honestly pray, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief”? 🙏 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Father, every seed of unbelief in my heart, uproot it in Jesus' name. 2. Lord, heal every disappointment that has damaged my faith. 3. Father, give me grace to trust Your Word even when I cannot see the outcome. 4. Every voice telling me that my situation is impossible, I silence it by the Word of God. 5. Lord, restore my spiritual expectation. Let me believe You for great things again. 6. Father, deliver me from fear, doubt, discouragement, and spiritual stagnation. 7. Lord Jesus, increase my faith and help me to walk by faith and not by sight. 8. Every limitation created by unbelief in my life, let it be broken in Jesus' name. 9. Father, give me courage to take the next step of obedience. 10. Lord, let my life become a testimony that brings glory to Your name. BREAK THE POWER OF UNBELIEF. Beloved, the question today is not whether God is powerful. He is. The question is: Will you trust Him? You may have a giant in front of you. You may have a storm around you. You may have a difficult report. You may have waited longer than expected. But don't allow your circumstances to become bigger than your God. The same Jesus who multiplied bread can provide. The same Jesus who calmed the storm can give peace. The same Jesus who raised Lazarus can bring life into dead situations. The same God who kept Abraham can keep you. So today, make a decision: I will not allow unbelief to determine my future. I will trust God's Word. I will obey His instructions. I will keep praying. I will keep walking. I will keep believing. And when my faith becomes weak, I will pray: > “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” — Mark 9:24 Don't magnify what is against you. Magnify the God who is with you. Your circumstances may be difficult, but God is still faithful. Walk by faith. Trust His Word. Obey His voice. And refuse to let unbelief close the door to what God wants to do in your life. Amen. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: WALKING IN DIVINE PURPOSE. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10 YOU WERE NOT CREATED BY ACCIDENT. There is a difference between being alive and living with purpose. Many people wake up every morning, go to work, make money, attend church, raise families and pursue personal dreams—but deep inside, they still ask: “Why am I here?” You were not created merely to be born, grow old, make money and die. You were created by God, for God, and for a divine assignment. Before your parents knew you existed, God already knew you. Before people discovered your abilities, God had already designed your purpose. Jeremiah 1:5 says: > “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” Your purpose is not something you manufacture. It is something you discover in God. The tragedy is not that a person has no purpose. The tragedy is living and dying without discovering or fulfilling it. 1. UNDERSTAND THAT GOD CREATED YOU WITH PURPOSE. Ephesians 2:10 says: > “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…” You are God's workmanship. That means your life is not a random combination of circumstances. God intentionally created you with abilities, opportunities, experiences and assignments. Look at a phone. Every feature in it exists for a reason. If you don't know what a phone was designed to do, you may use it only as a mirror. In the same way, when you don't understand God's purpose for your life, you can spend your entire life doing things that were never your primary assignment. You must ask: “Lord, why did You create me?” Not: “What does society expect from me?” “What is everybody else doing?” “What will make me popular?” “What will make me rich?” But: “What does God want me to accomplish with this life?” Your purpose is bigger than your profession. You can be a teacher and still have a ministry. You can be a businessman and still have a divine assignment. You can be a student and already be walking in purpose. You can be a mother, father, engineer, farmer, doctor, pastor or entrepreneur and still fulfill God's purpose through your life. Purpose is not limited to the pulpit. 2. DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE THROUGH GOD. Proverbs 3:5–6 says: > “Trust in the LORD with all your heart… and He shall direct your paths. One of the greatest mistakes people make is trying to discover purpose without the One who created them. The Creator knows the purpose of His creation. If you want to know why a machine was manufactured, ask the manufacturer. If you want to know why you were created, seek God. How do you discover divine purpose? Through prayer. Ask God to reveal His direction. Through Scripture. God will never lead you into a purpose that contradicts His Word. Through spiritual gifts. Romans 12:6 says: > “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us…” What has God placed inside you? What do you naturally have grace to do? What problems do you feel burdened to solve? What kind of people are you passionate about helping? Sometimes your burden is connected to your assignment. Through godly counsel. Proverbs 15:22 says: > “Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established.” God can use mature believers to help you recognize what you cannot yet see about yourself. 3. DON'T CONFUSE PURPOSE WITH POPULARITY Romans 12:2 says: > “Do not be conformed to this world…” One of the greatest enemies of purpose is comparison. You see somebody succeeding and suddenly you abandon your assignment to copy theirs. Peter once asked Jesus about John's future. Jesus essentially told him: “What is that to you? Follow Me.” —John 21:21–22 That is powerful. God did not call you to become another person. He called you to become the person He designed you to be. Your purpose may not receive applause. Your assignment may not make you famous. Your obedience may not immediately make you wealthy. But if God is in it, faithfulness is more important than popularity. Don't measure your purpose by likes, followers, applause or recognition. Heaven's approval is greater than human applause. 4. PURPOSE REQUIRES OBEDIENCE AND SACRIFICE. Knowing your purpose is not enough. You must walk in it. The word walking suggests movement. Ephesians 2:10 does not merely say that God prepared good works for us. It says: > “…that we should walk in them.” You cannot fulfill purpose by sitting down and only dreaming. There must be obedience. There must be discipline. There must be sacrifice. There must be courage. There will be moments when walking in purpose becomes uncomfortable. Consider Abraham. God told him: > “Get out of your country… to a land that I will show you.” —Genesis 12:1 Notice something: God gave Abraham direction before giving him the destination. Sometimes God will not show you the whole road. He will simply say: “Take the next step.” You don't need to know everything before obeying God. You need enough faith to take the next step. 5. YOUR PURPOSE IS CONNECTED TO SERVING OTHERS. Jesus said in Matthew 20:28: > “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…” Divine purpose is not primarily about “What can I get?” It is about: “What can God do through me?” Your gift is not only for you. Your knowledge is not only for you. Your testimony is not only for you. Your resources are not only for you. Your experience may become somebody else's encouragement. Your pain may become somebody else's lesson. Your success may become somebody else's opportunity. Your voice may become somebody else's hope. Purpose becomes powerful when your life becomes a blessing to others. BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: JOSEPH. Joseph is one of the clearest examples of walking in divine purpose. He was betrayed by his brothers. He was sold into slavery. He was falsely accused. He was imprisoned. From the human perspective, it looked as though Joseph's life was going backward. But God was working behind the scenes. Eventually Joseph became second-in-command in Egypt and was positioned to preserve many lives during famine. Joseph later told his brothers: > “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good…” —Genesis 50:20 What does Joseph teach us? Your current location does not determine your final destination. The pit was not the end. The prison was not the end. The pain was not the end. God was using every season to prepare Joseph for his assignment. Some of what you are experiencing today may be preparation for what God wants to accomplish through you tomorrow. Don't abandon God because your current chapter is difficult. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS. 1. PURPOSE DOES NOT MEAN A PROBLEM-FREE LIFE. Walking in God's purpose does not mean you will never experience opposition. Jesus had purpose—and He faced rejection. Joseph had purpose—and he experienced betrayal. David had purpose—and he faced persecution. Paul had purpose—and he experienced imprisonment. Opposition does not always mean you are outside God's will. Sometimes opposition comes because you are moving in the direction God wants you to go. 2. GOD DEVELOPS THE PERSON BEFORE RELEASING THE PURPOSE. Joseph had a dream before he had the character and experience necessary to manage a nation. There was a process between the dream and the fulfillment. God may give you a promise quickly, but He often develops you slowly. Don't despise the process. The waiting season may be preparing you for the responsibility attached to your prayer. 3. PURPOSE IS NOT A RACE AGAINST OTHER PEOPLE. Your journey is different. Your timing is different. Your assignment is different. Stop asking: “Why am I not where they are?” Ask: “Am I faithfully walking where God wants me to be?” PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS. 1. Pray for clarity Spend time asking God to reveal His purpose and direction. 2. Study Scripture The more you understand God's Word, the more clearly you can recognize God's principles. 3. Identify your gifts Write down your abilities, passions and areas where people consistently benefit from your help. 4. Identify the needs around you Purpose often intersects with a problem that God has equipped you to help solve. 5. Start where you are Don't wait for perfect conditions. Begin with what you have. 6. Serve faithfully Small acts of obedience can prepare you for greater assignments. 7. Stop comparing yourself Celebrate others without abandoning your own assignment. 8. Take the next step You may not see the entire journey, but obey the light God has already given you. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. Do I know what God is calling me to do in this season? 2. Am I pursuing God's purpose or people's approval? 3. What gifts has God placed inside me? 4. What problem or need am I particularly burdened to address? 5. Have I allowed fear to delay my obedience? 6. Am I comparing my journey with somebody else's? 7. What is the next step God is asking me to take? 8. If God asked me to serve without recognition, would I still do it? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Prayer for revelation Father, open my eyes to understand Your purpose for my life. Give me clarity concerning my divine assignment, in Jesus' name. 2. Prayer against distraction Lord, deliver me from every distraction, comparison and relationship that is taking me away from Your purpose. 3. Prayer for courage Father, give me courage to obey You even when obedience is difficult or unpopular. 4. Prayer for spiritual sensitivity Holy Spirit, help me recognize Your voice and follow Your direction every day. 5. Prayer for grace Lord, give me the grace, wisdom, discipline and strength to fulfill the assignment You have given me. 6. Prayer for impact Father, let my life become a blessing to my generation. Use my gifts, resources, experiences and testimony for Your glory. 7. Prayer for completion Lord, help me not to abandon my assignment halfway. Give me grace to finish well and fulfill my divine purpose. DON'T JUST EXIST—FULFILL YOUR ASSIGNMENT. One day, every one of us will stand before God. The question will not simply be: “How much money did you make?” It will not be: “How many people followed you?” It will not be: “How popular were you?” The greater question is: “Were you faithful with what I gave you?” Jesus said: > “Well done, good and faithful servant…” —Matthew 25:21 That should be the goal. Not merely to live long. But to live meaningfully. Not merely to be successful. But to be useful in God's hands. Not merely to be remembered by people. But to be approved by God. Your life carries an assignment. Your gifts carry an assignment. Your testimony carries an assignment. Your generation needs something God has placed inside you. So arise. Pray. Discover. Prepare. Obey. Serve. Keep walking. Don't die with your purpose still inside you. WALK IN DIVINE PURPOSE. Live for God. Serve humanity. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: TRY TO HELP SOMEBODY. “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 Somebody Needs You. There is somebody around you who is silently struggling. Somebody is smiling, but crying inside. Somebody is praying for a breakthrough, but needs practical assistance. Somebody wants to start again but has lost courage. Somebody needs food. Somebody needs encouragement. Somebody needs a connection. Somebody needs forgiveness. Somebody simply needs someone to say, “I believe in you.” And perhaps God has placed you in that person's path. We often pray, “Lord, bless me.” But sometimes God answers that prayer by making you the blessing someone else has been praying for. Don't always ask, “What can God do for me?” Ask also, “Lord, who can I help?” You may not be able to solve everybody's problems. You may not have enough money to meet every need. But you can do something. Try to help somebody. 1. HELPING PEOPLE IS PART OF OUR CHRISTIAN CALLING. Galatians 6:2 > “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Christianity is not only about attending church, singing songs, praying and listening to sermons. Christianity is also about carrying one another. When somebody is weak, strengthen them. When somebody falls, help them rise. When somebody is confused, guide them. When somebody is hungry and you have food, share. When somebody is discouraged, encourage them. Jesus did not merely preach to people; He touched people's lives. James 2:15–16 James teaches that if a brother or sister lacks basic necessities and we simply say, “Go in peace; be warmed and filled,” without giving practical help, our faith becomes empty. There are times when prayer must be accompanied by action. Don't tell someone, “I am praying for you,” when God has given you the ability to help them—and you refuse to act. 2. YOU DON'T NEED TO HAVE MUCH BEFORE YOU CAN HELP. One of the greatest excuses people make is: “I don't have enough.” But helping somebody doesn't always require money. You can give: Your time. Your knowledge. Your experience. Your encouragement. Your connection. Your prayers. Your skills. Your platform. Your listening ear. Your forgiveness. Your presence. Sometimes a person doesn't need ₦100,000. They need somebody to say: “Don't give up. Let's try again.” Acts 3:1–8 — Peter and the Lame Man The lame man at the Beautiful Gate was asking for money. Peter said: > “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee.” Peter didn't have what the man requested, but he had something valuable to give. That is powerful. You may not have everything someone needs, but you have something. Don't focus so much on what you don't have that you fail to use what you have. 3. SOMETIMES GOD SENDS YOU TO BE THE ANSWER TO SOMEONE'S PRAYER. Luke 10:30–37 — The Good Samaritan A man was attacked, beaten and left half dead. Religious people passed him. They saw him—but didn't help him. Then a Samaritan came. He saw the wounded man, had compassion, treated his wounds, carried him to an inn and paid for his care. Jesus concluded: > “Go, and do thou likewise.” Notice something: The Samaritan did not merely feel sorry for the man. He did something. Compassion without action can become mere emotion. The world doesn't only need people who say: “That's terrible.” The world needs people who say: “What can I do?” 4. HELPING SOMEBODY MAY COST YOU SOMETHING. Real help is sometimes inconvenient. It may cost you: Money. Time. Comfort. Sleep. Resources. Reputation. Emotional energy. But remember: Proverbs 19:17 > “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD.” When you help somebody sincerely, God sees it. You may not receive anything from the person you helped. They may never thank you. They may even forget what you did. But God doesn't forget. Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of love. Your kindness may be invisible to people but visible to God. 5. DON'T HELP PEOPLE ONLY WHEN YOU EXPECT SOMETHING IN RETURN. Jesus challenged His followers to develop a different kind of generosity. Luke 6:35 > “Love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again.” There is a level of maturity where you stop asking: “What will I gain?” and start asking: “How can I bless?” Don't help someone because you want them to advertise your kindness. Don't help someone because you want them to owe you forever. Don't help someone because you want political, social or spiritual influence over them. Help because love compels you. BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: JOSEPH. Think about Joseph. His brothers betrayed him. They sold him. He suffered injustice. Years later, Joseph became powerful in Egypt, while his brothers became desperate because of famine. Joseph had an opportunity for revenge. But instead of destroying them, he preserved their lives. Genesis 50:20 Joseph said: > “Ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good.” What a powerful testimony! Joseph understood that God can use your position to preserve people who once hurt you. Sometimes God blesses you not merely for your comfort but for somebody else's survival. Your promotion may be somebody's opportunity. Your business may employ somebody. Your knowledge may educate somebody. Your testimony may restore somebody's hope. Your platform may introduce somebody to Christ. Your resources may keep somebody alive. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHT. 1. Your blessing is not only for you. God told Abraham: Genesis 12:2 > “I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.” Notice the progression: Blessed → Become a blessing. God doesn't bless us merely to make us comfortable. He blesses us so that His goodness can flow through us. 2. You may be someone's divine connection. There are people you will meet once who may never forget you. A simple introduction could change someone's career. A recommendation could open a door. A word of encouragement could prevent someone from giving up. A small financial gift could keep a family going for another week. Never underestimate a small act of obedience. 3. Helping others does not make you God. This is important. You cannot save everybody. You cannot solve every problem. You cannot carry everybody's burden. You need wisdom and boundaries. Help where you genuinely can. Don't allow manipulation to replace discernment. Biblical compassion must walk together with biblical wisdom. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS. This week, deliberately choose one person to help. 1. Help someone spiritually. Invite somebody to church. Pray with someone. Share Scripture. 2. Help someone emotionally. Call someone who has been unusually quiet. Ask: “How are you really doing?” Then listen. 3. Help someone financially. If you have the means, support someone genuinely struggling. It doesn't have to be a large amount. 4. Help someone professionally. Teach somebody a skill. Share information. Make a useful introduction. Recommend someone for an opportunity. 5. Help someone who has fallen. Don't only discuss their failure. Ask: “How can I help you get back up?” 6. Help without announcing everything. Matthew 6:3–4 teaches us not to make a performance out of our generosity. Some acts of kindness should remain between you and God. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. Who around me is currently struggling? 2. What do I have that could help that person? 3. Have I become too focused on my own problems to notice the needs of others? 4. Do I help people only when I expect something in return? 5. Have I ignored someone God may have placed in my path? 6. What practical act of kindness can I perform this week? 7. How can my success become a blessing to others? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Father, open my eyes to recognize people who need help around me. 2. Lord, make me a channel of Your love, mercy and generosity. 3. Father, give me the wisdom to know how and when to help people. 4. Lord, deliver me from selfishness and indifference. 5. Father, give me resources so that I can become a greater blessing to others. 6. Lord, connect me with people whose lives I am called to help. 7. Father, let every seed of kindness I have planted produce testimonies according to Your will. 8. Lord, help me to forgive those who have hurt me and still respond with Christlike love. 9. Father, make my life an answer to someone's prayer. CLOSING: BE THE PERSON WHO HELPS. There is a powerful question you need to ask yourself today: If everyone around me behaved exactly like me, would this world become better or worse? Don't wait until you become rich before you become generous. Don't wait until you become famous before you become useful. Don't wait until you have millions before you start helping people. Start with what you have. Give someone hope. Teach someone. Encourage someone. Feed someone. Pray for someone. Forgive someone. Open a door for someone. Help someone stand again. You may never know how far your kindness travels. The person you encourage today may become the person who encourages thousands tomorrow. The person you help today may one day become a blessing to your own children. The seed may look small in your hand, but God knows what it can become. So, before you ask God: > “Lord, bless me.” Ask Him: > “Lord, make me a blessing.” Because sometimes the miracle somebody has been praying for is not going to fall from heaven. God may be preparing to send YOU. TRY TO HELP SOMEBODY. Be the answer God can use. Be the hands that serve. Be the voice that encourages. Be the heart that cares. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER. Theme: “A New Season, A New Beginning, A New Opportunity” Key Texts: 📖 Lamentations 3:22–23 📖 Isaiah 43:18–19 📖 Philippians 3:13–14 📖 Psalm 65:11. 🔥THE MONTH HAS CHANGED—WHAT ABOUT YOU? Beloved, today is not just another Sunday. It is the first Sunday of a new month—September. September represents a transition. We are moving further into the year. The months are advancing, and time is moving. But there is an important question we must ask ourselves: > “The calendar has changed, but has anything changed in my life?” Many people enter a new month carrying the same fear, the same bitterness, the same laziness, the same sin, the same unbelief and the same excuses. A new month alone cannot change a person. A changed mind, renewed faith, obedience to God and deliberate action can produce a changed life. Today, God is giving us an opportunity to pause and say: “Lord, as I enter this new season, let something change in me and through me.” The first Sunday of September is therefore an opportunity for reflection, renewal, rededication and fresh commitment to God. 📖 KEY SCRIPTURE: LAMENTATIONS 3:22–23. > “It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” The fact that you are alive today is not an accident. You may have lost something, faced disappointment, experienced delay or encountered challenges this year. But you are still here. That means God's mercy has carried you into another month. Every new day and every new season is an opportunity to experience the faithfulness of God again. 1. THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER IS A TIME OF THANKSGIVING 📖 Psalm 103:2 > “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” Before asking God for what is ahead, remember what He has already done. You may not have achieved everything you planned, but consider: You are alive. God has preserved you. You have survived challenges. You have seen another month. You still have hope. You can still pray. You can still make better decisions. Some battles God fought for you without your knowledge. Some accidents never happened because God prevented them. Some doors that closed were actually protecting you. DEEP INSIGHT. Gratitude helps us see God's faithfulness even when life is not yet perfect. Do not wait until everything is complete before you thank God. Thank Him because you are still in the journey. 2. THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER IS A TIME FOR REFLECTION 📖 Haggai 1:5 > “Consider your ways.” September is an excellent time to stop and examine your life. Ask yourself: What have I done with the months God has given me? Am I growing spiritually? Have I become closer to God? What habits are helping me? What habits are destroying me? What must I change? A wise person does not only look at the calendar. A wise person examines his life. DEEP INSIGHT. You cannot correct what you refuse to examine. If your prayer life is weak, admit it. If your relationship with God is growing cold, admit it. If laziness is affecting your destiny, admit it. If unforgiveness is poisoning your heart, deal with it. Honest reflection is the beginning of genuine change. 3. THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER IS A CALL TO LEAVE THE PAST BEHIND 📖 Isaiah 43:18–19 > “Remember ye not the former things... Behold, I will do a new thing.” Some people enter every new season carrying the pain of an old season. They cannot move forward because their hearts are still imprisoned by yesterday. Perhaps: Someone disappointed you. You failed in something. You lost an opportunity. Your plans did not work. Someone hurt you. You made mistakes. But hear this: Your past is a chapter of your life, but it does not have to become the conclusion of your life. The enemy wants you to live permanently in regret. But God can give you a new beginning. 📖 Philippians 3:13 > “...forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.” You cannot move forward while constantly looking backward. September is saying: “There is still time to rise again.” 4. THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER IS A CALL TO RENEW YOUR COMMITMENT TO GOD. 📖 Romans 12:1–2 > “Present your bodies a living sacrifice... and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” A new month should not only produce new wishes. It should produce new commitment. This is the time to say: Lord, I will take my prayer life seriously. I will study Your Word. I will overcome that sinful habit. I will become more disciplined. I will serve You faithfully. I will love people better. I will use my time wisely. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHT. Revival does not begin when the church becomes crowded. Revival begins when the heart becomes surrendered. God is not looking only for people who want blessings. He is looking for people who are willing to become better disciples. 5. THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER REMINDS US THAT THERE IS STILL TIME TO FULFIL PURPOSE. 📖 Psalm 90:12 > “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Do not waste the remaining months of the year. Do not say: > “The year is almost gone.” Instead say: > “Lord, what can I still do with the time remaining?” A few months can make a major difference. A person can: Start a new discipline. Repair a relationship. Complete an important assignment. Learn something valuable. Start a meaningful project. Return seriously to God. Develop a stronger prayer life. Remember this: You may not be able to change the beginning of the year, but you can still influence how you finish it. 📖 BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: THE PRODIGAL SON. Luke 15:11–24 The prodigal son wasted his inheritance. He made terrible decisions. He lost his resources. He experienced shame and suffering. But one day, something changed. Luke 15:17 says: > “And when he came to himself...” That was his turning point. He reflected. He realized where he had gone wrong. Then he made a decision: > “I will arise and go to my father.” The most powerful moment in his story was not when he received his inheritance. It was when he came to his senses and decided to return. And when he returned, the father received him. LESSONS. No matter how far you have gone, you can still return to God. No matter how much time you have wasted, you can still begin again. No matter how many mistakes you have made, God's grace is still available. 📝 PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS FOR SEPTEMBER. This week, take these five steps: 1. Thank God deliberately Spend time remembering His faithfulness from January until now. 2. Examine your life honestly Identify areas where you need spiritual and personal growth. 3. Leave one negative habit behind Do not carry everything from the past into the future. 4. Set spiritual goals Decide how you will pray, study the Bible and serve God more faithfully. 5. Take one practical step toward your purpose Do not only pray about your future. Take action. 🤔 QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. What has God done for me that I have forgotten to appreciate? 2. What has changed in my spiritual life since the beginning of the year? 3. What mistake, habit or attitude must I leave behind? 4. Is there an area of my life that needs restoration? 5. What can I still accomplish with the remaining months of this year? 6. What fresh commitment am I making to God today? 7. If September ends exactly as August ended, what will I regret not changing? 🙏 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Father, thank You for preserving my life and bringing me into September. 2. Lord, let this new month mark a new beginning in my spiritual life. 3. Every negative pattern that has followed me, I refuse to carry it into this new season. 4. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: THE REAL CHURCH TODAY. Key Texts:- Matthew 16:18 — “...I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Acts 2:42–47 John 13:34–35 James 1:22 1 Peter 2:9 WHAT IS THE REAL CHURCH? We are living in a generation where church buildings are increasing, church programmes are increasing, and religious activities are increasing. We have beautiful auditoriums, powerful sound systems, social-media ministries, conferences, crusades and many Christian platforms. But there is an important question: > Is everything called church truly functioning as the Church Jesus had in mind? The real Church is more than a building. The real Church is more than a Sunday gathering. The real Church is more than a choir, a title, a uniform, a denomination or a large congregation. The Church is the people Jesus has redeemed, transformed and sent into the world to represent Him. A building can be full and still lack the presence of God. People can shout “Hallelujah” and still refuse to live according to the Word of God. Jesus said: > “I will build my church...” — Matthew 16:18 Notice that Jesus did not say, “I will build a religious organization.” He said, “I will build MY CHURCH.” Therefore, we must ask ourselves: Are we building Christ's Church, or merely building religious activities? 1. THE REAL CHURCH IS BUILT ON JESUS CHRIST Matthew 16:18 > “...upon this rock I will build my church...” The foundation of the real Church is not a pastor, prophet, bishop, founder, denomination or human personality. Jesus Christ is the foundation. A church becomes unhealthy when people become more loyal to personalities than to Christ. The real Church does not say: > “What does a man say?” Before asking: > “What does Jesus say?” 1 Corinthians 3:11 > “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” Deep Spiritual Insight. Where Christ is no longer central, religion will take over. Where the Word of God is neglected, human opinion will become the standard. Where Jesus is replaced by personalities, the Church can become a fan club instead of a spiritual family. The real Church must be CHRIST-CENTRED. 2. THE REAL CHURCH IS A PEOPLE TRANSFORMED BY THE WORD James 1:22 > “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only...” The real Church does not only hear sermons. The real Church lives the sermon. It is possible to know many Bible verses and still live a life that contradicts the Bible. It is possible to preach holiness and practise dishonesty. It is possible to sing about love and hate people. It is possible to attend church every Sunday and never become like Christ. The real evidence of Christianity is not only what happens inside the church building. It is what happens in our lives after we leave the building. Ask yourself: Has the Word changed my character? Am I becoming more truthful? Do I forgive more easily? Do I treat people better? Is my life becoming more like Jesus? The Church is not called merely to produce churchgoers. The Church is called to produce disciples. 3. THE REAL CHURCH IS KNOWN BY LOVE John 13:34–35 > “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Jesus gave the world a powerful evidence of genuine discipleship: LOVE. Not titles. Not clothing. Not popularity. Not social-media followers. Love. The real Church is a place where: the weak are strengthened, the broken are restored, the poor are remembered, the wounded are cared for, the discouraged are encouraged, and sinners can encounter the transforming grace of God. Unfortunately, sometimes people come into the Church wounded and leave more wounded because of rejection, gossip and judgement. But the Church of Jesus must be different. The Church must be a spiritual hospital, not a courtroom for people who are already wounded. This does not mean that the Church ignores sin. No! The real Church speaks the truth about sin, but it speaks the truth with love and leads people toward repentance and restoration. 4. THE REAL CHURCH IS COMMITTED TO FELLOWSHIP, PRAYER AND GOD'S WORD Acts 2:42 > “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” The early Church had a clear spiritual foundation. They were committed to: 1. Doctrine — The Word of God They wanted to know what God had said. 2. Fellowship — Genuine Relationships They were not strangers sitting together every week. They cared for one another. 3. Breaking of Bread — Spiritual Communion They remembered Christ and shared life together. 4. Prayer — Dependence on God They understood that the Church cannot survive by human strength alone. The danger today We can have programmes without prayer. We can have entertainment without transformation. We can have crowds without discipleship. We can have activities without spiritual maturity. But the real Church is spiritually alive. It is a praying Church. It is a Bible-believing Church. It is a worshipping Church. It is a caring Church. 5. THE REAL CHURCH DOES NOT ONLY GATHER — IT GOES Matthew 28:19 > “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations...” The Church was never called simply to sit inside four walls. The Church gathers to be equipped and goes out to represent Christ. The real Church enters: families, schools, offices, markets, communities, government, social media, business, and every area of society. The Church should influence the world with: truth, integrity, compassion, justice, holiness, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The real Church does not run away from the world. It carries the light of Christ into the world. BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: THE EARLY CHURCH Read Acts 2:42–47. The early believers did not have many of the things we have today. They did not have: modern buildings, microphones, social media, television channels, expensive equipment. But they had something powerful: They had genuine devotion to Christ. They prayed. They loved one another. They shared with those in need. They studied God's Word. They worshipped together. And because their lives demonstrated the reality of Christ: > “And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” — Acts 2:47 The greatest advertisement of the Church is a transformed life. When Christians live like Jesus, people will see Christ. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS: HOW CAN WE BE THE REAL CHURCH TODAY? 1. Make Jesus the centre of your life Do not merely follow Christian personalities. Follow Christ. 2. Study and obey God's Word Do not read the Bible only for information. Read it for transformation. 3. Love people practically Call someone. Encourage someone. Forgive someone. Help someone. 4. Become active in prayer A powerless Christian cannot build a powerful spiritual life. 5. Serve, don't only be served Ask yourself: > “What can I contribute to God's work?” 6. Represent Christ outside the Church Your Christianity must work at home, at work, in business and online. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. If church services stopped for one month, would my relationship with God remain strong? 2. Am I following Jesus, or am I only following religious traditions? 3. Does my lifestyle reflect the message I preach and hear? 4. Do people experience the love of Christ through me? 5. Am I helping to build the Church or contributing to division? 6. If everyone in the Church behaved like me, what kind of Church would we have? 7. Am I a consumer in the Church, or a servant in the Church? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Father, deliver me from empty religion and give me a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. 2. Lord, make me a true representative of Christ wherever I go. 3. Father, remove hypocrisy, pride and double standards from my life. 4. Lord, make Your Word transform my character and daily conduct. 5. Father, fill Your Church with genuine love, unity and compassion. 6. Every spirit of division, gossip and hatred operating among believers, be destroyed in Jesus' name. 7. Lord, restore the spirit of prayer and hunger for Your Word in the Church. 8. Father, raise genuine disciples and not merely religious followers. 9. Lord, help Your Church to stand for truth without compromising the Gospel. 10. Father, use the Church to bring hope, healing and transformation to our communities. 11. Lord, help young people in the Church to remain rooted in Christ in this modern generation. 12. Father, let Your Church arise in power, holiness and spiritual maturity in Jesus' name. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHT. The Church is not perfect because it is made up of perfect people. The Church is a community of imperfect people being transformed by a perfect Saviour. Therefore, when we see weaknesses in the Church, we must not immediately conclude: > “I don't need the Church.” Instead, we should ask: > “How can God use me to become part of the solution?” The real Church is not a place where everyone has arrived. It is a place where people are growing. It is not a museum for saints. It is a family of believers being shaped into the image of Christ. STRONG CLOSING CALL TO ACTION. Beloved, the question is no longer: “Which church do you attend?” The deeper question is: “Are you truly part of the Church Jesus is building?” The real Church today must rise above: empty religion, competition, hypocrisy, pride, division, and entertainment without transformation. The real Church must return to Christ. We need the Church that: knows the Word, lives the Word, prays with power, loves genuinely, serves faithfully, reaches the lost, raises disciples, and influences the world for Jesus. Let us not merely attend Church. LET US BE THE CHURCH. When we leave the church building, the Church should still be visible in our homes. When we go to work, the Church should be visible in our integrity. When we go online, the Church should be visible in our words. When we meet people in pain, the Church should be visible in our compassion. The world does not only need another church programme. The world needs to see Jesus in His Church again. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: PRAYER ALONE IS NOT A FINANCIAL STRATEGY. Faith Must Be Accompanied by Wisdom, Work, and Stewardship Text: Proverbs 21:5 > “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” There is a dangerous statement that many Christians make: “I have prayed about it.” We pray for financial breakthrough. We pray for open doors. We pray for provision. We pray for business success. And then we do nothing. We don't learn a skill. We don't create a budget. We don't save. We don't improve our business. We don't study the market. We don't manage what God has already placed in our hands. Then we say, “I am waiting on God.” But sometimes, you are not waiting on God. God is waiting on you to act on the wisdom He has already given you. Prayer is powerful, but prayer was never designed to replace responsibility. Prayer connects us to God; wisdom teaches us what to do with what God puts in our hands. 1. PRAYER DOES NOT CANCEL THE PRINCIPLE OF WORK 2 Thessalonians 3:10 > “If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat.” Paul was speaking strongly because Christianity does not promote laziness. God can provide supernaturally, but He also established the principle of work. From the beginning, God placed Adam in the garden “to work it and keep it” (Genesis 2:15). Notice this: Before the fall, there was work. Work is not a curse. Sweat and painful toil became part of the curse, but productive responsibility existed before sin. Therefore, don't pray: > “Lord, make me wealthy.” And refuse to develop yourself. Don't pray for customers while treating customers badly. Don't pray for promotion while refusing to improve your competence. Don't pray for business growth while refusing to understand your business. Spiritual principle: Prayer without action can become an excuse for inaction. Faith does not make us passive. Faith gives us courage to act. 2. GOD CAN GIVE YOU AN OPPORTUNITY, BUT YOU MUST DEVELOP THE CAPACITY TO HANDLE IT Proverbs 18:16 > “A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before the great.” Your gift can open a door. But capacity determines whether you can remain in the room. Imagine someone praying: > “Lord, give me a million-naira business.” God answers by giving them an opportunity. But they have no accounting system. No business plan. No customer service. No savings discipline. No knowledge of their industry. No understanding of profit and loss. The opportunity arrives, but the person destroys it through poor management. The problem was not the blessing. The problem was the capacity. This is why Christians must learn. Learn skills. Read books. Take courses. Ask questions. Study your profession. Understand money. Understand business. Understand technology. Hosea 4:6 > “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Sometimes what we call spiritual attack is actually lack of knowledge. Not every financial problem requires another prayer meeting. Some require: education, discipline, planning, accountability and wise decisions. 3. BIBLICAL FAITH INCLUDES PLANNING. Proverbs 21:5 > “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance.” The Bible doesn't only teach us to pray. It teaches us to plan. Luke 14:28 Jesus asked: > “Which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost?” Jesus introduced a financial principle: COUNT THE COST. Before you spend, calculate. Before you borrow, calculate. Before you start a business, calculate. Before you invest, investigate. Before you expand, plan. Before you buy something because everybody is buying it, ask: Can I afford this? A Christian should not be financially controlled by emotions. Simple financial rule: Pray → Plan → Act → Monitor → Adjust. Don't just pray and spend. Don't just believe and borrow. Don't just confess prosperity and ignore your bank statement. Faith must be accompanied by wisdom. 4. JOSEPH SHOWED US THAT SPIRITUAL WISDOM AND FINANCIAL STRATEGY CAN WORK TOGETHER. One of the greatest biblical examples is Joseph. In Genesis 41, Pharaoh had a dream about seven years of abundance followed by seven years of famine. Joseph interpreted the dream. But he didn't stop at interpretation. He presented a strategy. Genesis 41:34–36 Joseph recommended that Egypt appoint someone to collect and store a portion of the harvest during the seven prosperous years. Why? Because abundance today does not guarantee abundance tomorrow. Joseph understood: Provision must be managed. God gave the increase. Joseph developed the strategy. The people worked. The harvest was stored. And when famine came, Egypt had resources. The lesson is powerful: God can give you a harvest, but wisdom teaches you how to preserve it. Some people don't have an income problem. They have a management problem. Money enters. Money leaves. Nothing is saved. Nothing is invested. Nothing is developed. Then another prayer begins: > “Lord, bless me financially.” But God may be saying: “I have already blessed you. Learn how to manage what I put in your hands.” 5. THE PARABLE OF THE TALENTS: GOD EXPECTS PRODUCTIVITY Matthew 25:14–30 Jesus told the story of three servants. One received five talents. Another received two. Another received one. The first two servants put what they received to work. The third servant buried his talent. The master condemned him—not because he received less, but because he did nothing productive with what he received. This is a serious lesson. What are you doing with what God has already given you? Your phone can be a tool. Your education can be a tool. Your voice can be a tool. Your hands can be a tool. Your creativity can be a tool. Your knowledge can be a tool. Your social media platform can be a tool. Your small business can be a tool. Your property can be a tool. Your gift can be a tool. Stop asking only, “Lord, what will You give me?” Begin asking: > “Lord, what can I do with what You have already given me?” 🔥 REAL-LIFE CASE STUDY. Consider two Christians who both lose their jobs. Christian A He spends every day praying: > “Father, give me a financial breakthrough.” He attends prayer meetings. He fasts. He confesses scriptures. But he refuses to learn anything new. He refuses temporary work because it is beneath him. He refuses to start small. He waits for a miracle. Christian B She also prays. But after praying, she asks: > “Lord, what can I do?” She identifies a skill she can learn. She starts small. She serves people. She saves a percentage of every income. She reinvests some profit. She improves her skill. She learns from experienced people. Two years later, her small beginning has become a sustainable source of income. Who prayed? Both. Who acted? One. And this is the difference: Prayer seeks God's direction. Wisdom creates a plan. Discipline produces consistency. Work creates value. Stewardship preserves resources. 💡 DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS. 1. God is not against your financial prosperity; He is against financial idolatry. Money is a terrible god but a useful servant. 2. Financial blessing without financial wisdom can become financial destruction. If you increase someone's income without increasing their wisdom, you may simply increase the size of their problems. 3. A miracle can change your situation, but character determines what you do afterward. God can open a door in one day. But building something sustainable may require years of discipline. 4. Small beginnings should not be despised. Zechariah 4:10 > “For whoever has despised the day of small things?” Don't be ashamed to start small. A small business can grow. A small saving can become substantial. A small skill can become a profession. A small audience can become a platform. A small idea can become an enterprise. Don't wait for something big before you become faithful. 🛠️ PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS. Starting today: 1. Pray for wisdom, not merely money. 2. Write down your income and expenses. Know where your money is going. 3. Create a realistic budget. Give every major portion of your income a purpose. 4. Learn one valuable skill. Technology, communication, writing, sales, design, agriculture, digital skills, craftsmanship—whatever can create legitimate value. 5. Start with what you have. Don't wait until everything is perfect. 6. Avoid unnecessary debt. Especially debt created by impulse, status or pressure. 7. Build an emergency reserve. Prepare for unexpected seasons. 8. Separate needs from wants. Not everything you desire is something you need. 9. Seek wise counsel. Proverbs 15:22 > “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.” 10. Give God the glory and remain generous. Financial wisdom is not about becoming selfish. We prosper so that we can become a blessing. 🤔 QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. Am I praying for money while refusing to work? 2. What am I currently doing with the gifts God has given me? 3. Do I have a financial plan? 4. Where does most of my money go? 5. What skill can I learn in the next six months? 6. Am I living according to my income or beyond it? 7. Do I save anything consistently? 8. Am I asking God for more while mismanaging what I already have? 9. Who can provide me with wise financial counsel? 10. If God increased my income tomorrow, would my character and financial discipline be ready? 🙏 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Prayer for Wisdom Father, give me wisdom to manage every resource You place in my hands. 2. Prayer for Discipline Lord, deliver me from financial waste, impulsive spending and poor decisions. 3. Prayer for Opportunity Father, open legitimate doors of opportunity and give me discernment to recognize them. 4. Prayer for Capacity Lord, increase my knowledge, skills, creativity and capacity to create value. 5. Prayer for Diligence Father, deliver me from laziness and give me the grace to work faithfully and consistently. 6. Prayer for Provision Lord, meet my genuine needs and make me a channel of blessing to others. 7. Prayer for Financial Restoration Father, restore opportunities, resources and relationships that I have lost through poor decisions, and teach me not to repeat my mistakes. 8. Prayer for Integrity Lord, keep me from dishonest wealth. Let every financial increase in my life come through legitimate and honorable means. 🔥 STRONG CLOSING CALL TO ACTION. Beloved, hear this: Prayer is not useless. Prayer is powerful. But prayer was never intended to replace obedience, wisdom, work and stewardship. Nehemiah prayed and built. Joseph trusted God and developed a strategy. The wise servant received resources and put them to work. The Proverbs repeatedly commend diligence, planning and wisdom. So don't leave this message saying: > “I need more money.” Leave saying: > “I need more wisdom.” Don't only ask: > “God, bless the work of my hands.” Ask: > “Lord, teach my hands to work wisely.” Don't only pray for an open door. Prepare yourself to walk through it. Don't only ask God for a harvest. Develop the capacity to manage the harvest. And remember: > Prayer connects you to the Provider. Wisdom teaches you how to manage provision. Work creates value. Discipline protects resources. Stewardship turns blessing into impact. FINAL DECLARATION. I will pray, but I will also plan. I will believe, but I will also work. I will trust God, but I will also seek wisdom. I will receive, but I will also manage. I will prosper with integrity. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS; SERMON TOPIC: WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT FINDING FAULT? Text: Matthew 7:1–5 Supporting Scriptures: Galatians 6:1–2, James 3:1–10, Romans 14:10–13, Ephesians 4:29, Proverbs 19:11 WHEN WE BECOME EXPERTS AT SEEING OTHER PEOPLE'S FAULTS One of the easiest things to do as human beings is to see what is wrong with someone else. We can quickly identify their attitude, their mistakes, their weaknesses, their dressing, their words, their choices and even their spiritual shortcomings. But there is a dangerous question we often fail to ask: > “Lord, what is wrong with me?” Jesus addressed this problem directly. Matthew 7:3–5 says: > “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” Jesus was not teaching us to ignore sin. He was teaching us not to become hypocritical judges while refusing to examine ourselves. There is a difference between correcting someone in love and finding fault with someone to condemn them. God is concerned not only about what we say about people, but also the heart from which we say it. 1. GOD DOES NOT WANT US TO LIVE AS JUDGES OVER EVERYONE Matthew 7:1–2 > “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” This verse is often misunderstood. Jesus is not saying that Christians should never recognize sin, exercise wisdom, or correct wrongdoing. Scripture clearly teaches believers to restore people who have fallen. Rather, Jesus warns against a condemning and hypocritical spirit. When we constantly look for faults in others, we can begin to behave as though we are morally superior. We forget that we also need grace. Romans 14:10 > “For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” The person you are criticizing will answer to God. You will also answer to God. Therefore, before you spend all your energy examining another person's life, examine your own. Spiritual insight. Grace should make us humble, not arrogant. If God has forgiven you, don't use your forgiveness as a weapon against someone who is still struggling. 2. BEFORE REMOVING ANOTHER PERSON'S “MOTE,” CHECK YOUR OWN “BEAM” Matthew 7:4–5 Jesus said: > “First cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.” Notice the word: FIRST. Jesus did not say, “Never help your brother.” He said: Deal with yourself first. There are Christians who are very good at identifying problems in other people's marriages, ministries, families, finances, character and spiritual lives. But when someone points out their own weaknesses, they become defensive. That is dangerous. Before correcting others, ask: Am I practicing what I am preaching? Have I prayed about this person? Am I correcting them because I love them or because I dislike them? Am I trying to restore them or embarrass them? Is my own life aligned with God's Word? Self-examination must come before public criticism. 3. GOD WANTS CORRECTION TO COME FROM LOVE, NOT CONDEMNATION. Galatians 6:1 > “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness.” Look at the word: RESTORE. The purpose of biblical correction is not to destroy people. It is to restore them. There is a difference between: “Look at this useless person. He always makes mistakes.” and: “My brother, I love you, and I believe you can do better. Let us pray and work through this together.” One attacks the person. The other addresses the problem. Ephesians 4:29 > “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying.” Ask yourself: When I speak about people, do I build them or destroy them? Some people have never physically harmed anyone, but their tongues have destroyed reputations, friendships, marriages and ministries. 4. BE CAREFUL: FINDING FAULT CAN BECOME A SPIRITUAL TRAP James 3:5–6 James teaches us about the power of the tongue. A small tongue can produce enormous damage. Sometimes finding fault begins innocently: > “I am just telling the truth.” But eventually it becomes: gossip, slander, suspicion, bitterness, mockery, character assassination, division. You may begin by discussing someone's mistake and end by destroying their reputation. Proverbs 19:11 > “The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.” Not every fault requires a public announcement. Not every mistake needs to be discussed. Not every offense needs a reaction. Sometimes maturity is knowing what to overlook. 5. JESUS GIVES US THE PERFECT EXAMPLE: MERCY WITHOUT COMPROMISING TRUTH Consider the woman caught in adultery in John 8:1–11. The religious leaders brought her to Jesus. They wanted condemnation. Jesus responded in a way that exposed the condition of their own hearts: > “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” — John 8:7 One by one, they left. Jesus did not say adultery was acceptable. He told the woman: > “Go, and sin no more.” — John 8:11 This is the balance of the Gospel: Grace does not call sin righteousness. And: Truth does not require cruelty. Jesus demonstrated truth with mercy. That is how Christians should handle the faults of others. BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: DAVID AND SAUL. David had an opportunity to attack Saul, who was pursuing him. Instead, David restrained himself. 1 Samuel 24:6 David said: > “The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD'S anointed.” David understood something powerful: You don't have to destroy everyone who has treated you badly. Sometimes God is asking you to leave judgment in His hands. You can recognize someone's wrong without allowing their wrong to poison your heart. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS. 1. Fault-finding can hide our own weaknesses. Sometimes we are extremely critical of a weakness in others because we are uncomfortable confronting something similar in ourselves. 2. Conviction and condemnation are different. Conviction says: “This is wrong; come back to God.” Condemnation says: “You are worthless; there is no hope for you.” The Holy Spirit restores. The enemy accuses. 3. Mature Christians don't enjoy people's failures. When someone falls, don't celebrate. Pray. When someone fails, don't spread it. Help restore them. When someone struggles, don't mock them. Show them grace. 4. You can correct someone without humiliating them. Biblical correction should preserve dignity. 5. Mercy does not mean weakness. Forgiving someone doesn't mean pretending the wrong never happened. It means refusing to become controlled by bitterness and revenge. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS. 1. Examine yourself daily Before criticizing someone, pray: “Lord, search my heart.” Psalm 139:23 > “Search me, O God, and know my heart.” 2. Stop unnecessary criticism Before speaking about someone's fault, ask: Is this necessary? Is it true? Is it helpful? If not, remain silent. 3. Pray before correcting Don't correct people while angry. Pray first. Sometimes prayer will change your approach—or reveal that the matter doesn't need your involvement at all. 4. Correct privately whenever possible If someone has made a mistake that genuinely needs correction, don't embarrass them unnecessarily. Matthew 18:15 Jesus teaches the principle of going to the person privately. 5. Learn to celebrate people's growth Don't only remember who someone used to be. People can change. The person who made mistakes yesterday may become a powerful testimony tomorrow. Never use someone's past as a permanent prison. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. Am I more interested in people's faults than their restoration? 2. Do I criticize others for things I tolerate in myself? 3. What does my speech reveal about my heart? 4. Have I damaged someone's reputation through gossip? 5. Is there someone I need to forgive? 6. Is there someone I need to correct—but in love and humility? 7. Have I been receiving God's grace while refusing to give grace to others? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Prayer for humility Father, deliver me from pride and hypocrisy. Give me a humble heart that is willing to examine myself before examining others. 2. Prayer for a clean heart Lord, remove every spirit of bitterness, gossip, condemnation and unnecessary criticism from my heart. 3. Prayer for wisdom Holy Spirit, give me wisdom to know when to speak, when to correct and when to remain silent. 4. Prayer for restoration Father, use me as an instrument of restoration. Help me to lift those who have fallen instead of destroying them. 5. Prayer for our tongue Lord, sanctify my tongue. Let my words bring healing, encouragement, wisdom and life. 6. Prayer for mercy Father, as You have shown me mercy, teach me to show mercy to others. 7. Prayer for spiritual maturity Lord Jesus, make me mature enough to correct without condemning, forgive without bitterness, and speak truth without hatred. CONCLUSION: PUT DOWN THE STONE. Beloved, not every fault you discover is an assignment to announce. Some things require correction. Some require prayer. Some require confrontation. Some require forgiveness. And some simply require you to leave the matter in God's hands. Before you point your finger at somebody, look at your own heart. Before you expose someone's weakness, ask God to expose yours. Before you condemn someone who has fallen, remember how many times God lifted you. The Gospel is not: “I am better than you.” The Gospel is: “I was lost, but Christ found me. I was broken, but Christ restored me. I was guilty, but Christ showed me mercy.” So today, put down the stone. Choose grace. Choose truth. Choose humility. Choose restoration. And when correction becomes necessary, let your correction sound like the voice of a physician treating a wound—not the voice of an enemy celebrating an injury. Final Scripture Ephesians 4:32 > “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” May God give us eyes that see beyond people's faults, hearts that understand their struggles, mouths that speak life, and spirits that restore the broken. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: GOD’S PROVISION. “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:19 🔥 WHEN YOU SEE NOTHING, GOD CAN STILL PROVIDE. There are seasons when you look around and ask: “Lord, where will my help come from?” The money is not enough. The opportunity has not come. The cupboard looks empty. The bills are waiting. The door you expected to open has remained closed. But hear this: Your provision is not limited to what you can see. The God who provided manna in the wilderness can provide for you in your wilderness. The God who caused a widow's little flour and oil to continue can sustain you when your resources appear insufficient. The God who fed five thousand people with five loaves and two fish can take what looks insignificant in your hands and make it sufficient. God is still Jehovah Jireh—the Lord who provides. 📖 KEY BIBLE VERSES: 1. Philippians 4:19 > “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Notice what Paul did not say: He did not say God will supply every desire. He said God will supply every need. God's provision is not always about giving us everything we want. Sometimes His provision is giving us exactly what we need to fulfill His purpose. God knows your need before you explain it. 2. Matthew 6:31–33 Jesus said not to worry about what we will eat, drink, or wear because our heavenly Father knows that we need these things. Then He gives us the priority: > “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” This is a powerful principle: When God's kingdom becomes your priority, you can trust God with your necessities. Do not allow the pressure of provision to become greater than your pursuit of God. 3. Psalm 23:1 > “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” David did not say, “I shall never face difficulty.” He said, “The Lord is my shepherd.” The confidence is not in the sheep. The confidence is in the Shepherd. If God is your Shepherd, your lack does not have the final word. 🔥 5 TRUTHS ABOUT GOD'S PROVISION. 1. GOD IS THE SOURCE, NOT YOUR JOB. Your salary may come through your employer. Your harvest may come through your farm. Your business may produce your income. A client may pay you. But ultimately, God is the source behind the channels. Deuteronomy 8:18 says: > “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth.” Never confuse the channel with the source. Your employer is not your source. Your business is not your source. Your connections are not your source. God is your source. Therefore, when one channel closes, don't conclude that God has stopped providing. God can open another channel. 2. GOD CAN PROVIDE THROUGH WHAT IS ALREADY IN YOUR HAND. Look at Moses. God asked him: > “What is that in thine hand?” — Exodus 4:2 Moses had a rod. It looked ordinary. But when surrendered to God, that ordinary rod became an instrument of extraordinary miracles. Consider the widow in 2 Kings 4. She told Elisha that she had almost nothing except a pot of oil. Elisha did not tell her to cry about what she lacked. He asked her to use what she had. She gathered empty vessels, poured the oil, and God multiplied what appeared insufficient. Sometimes we are praying for God to give us something new while ignoring what He has already placed in our hands. Your gift may be in your hand. Your idea may be in your hand. Your skill may be in your hand. Your opportunity may be in your hand. Your knowledge may be in your hand. Ask God to show you how to use what you already have. 3. GOD'S PROVISION OFTEN REQUIRES OBEDIENCE Consider Elijah and the widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings 17. There was famine in the land. The widow had only a little flour and oil. She was preparing what she thought would be her final meal. Yet Elijah instructed her to make a small cake first. Humanly speaking, that instruction sounded unreasonable. But obedience positioned her for supernatural provision. Her flour did not run out. Her oil did not fail. Sometimes the miracle is on the other side of obedience. God may tell you: “Start.” “Give.” “Apply.” “Learn.” “Serve.” “Forgive.” “Invest.” “Use your gift.” “Take the step.” And you may say, “But Lord, I don't have enough.” God may answer: “Obey Me with what you have.” 4. GOD CAN MULTIPLY LITTLE. One of the most beautiful examples is found in John 6. A boy had five barley loaves and two small fish. For thousands of hungry people, that was practically nothing. But when it was placed in Jesus' hands, it became enough. The lesson is powerful: What is insufficient in your hands can become sufficient in God's hands. Don't despise small beginnings. Don't despise your little business. Don't despise your small audience. Don't despise your little savings. Don't despise your small gift. Don't despise your humble beginning. Give God what you have and allow Him to breathe upon it. 5. GOD'S GREATEST PROVISION IS JESUS CHRIST. We often preach about God's provision as money, food, houses, jobs, breakthroughs and opportunities. But God's greatest provision is not material. God provided salvation through Jesus Christ. Romans 8:32 says: > “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Before God gave you provision for your earthly journey, He provided salvation for your eternal destiny. The greatest miracle is not having everything you want. The greatest miracle is knowing Christ. Because you can have money and still be empty. You can have a house and have no peace. You can have possessions and lose your soul. But when Christ is in your life, you possess something money cannot purchase. 📖 BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: THE WIDOW OF ZAREPHATH. Imagine her situation. There is famine. Food is scarce. Her resources are almost finished. She has a child to care for. She is preparing what appears to be her last meal. Then God's prophet arrives with a strange instruction. “Make me a little cake first.” She obeys. And something remarkable happens. The Bible says: > “And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail.” — 1 Kings 17:16 God did not necessarily fill her house with mountains of flour. He sustained what she had. This teaches us something important: God's provision is not always a sudden abundance. Sometimes God's provision is: The little that keeps lasting. The door that opens at the right time. The person God sends to help you. The wisdom to solve a problem. The strength to continue. The opportunity you didn't expect. The grace to survive a difficult season. Do not overlook God's provision simply because it doesn't look like your expectation. 🧠 DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS. 1. Provision does not mean the absence of challenges. The Israelites still had a wilderness, but God gave them manna. David still faced Goliath, but God gave him victory. Paul still experienced hardship, but God's grace sustained him. You can be in a difficult season and still be under God's provision. 2. God's timing is part of His provision. Sometimes we say: “God has not answered me.” But heaven may be saying: “The appointed time has not arrived.” Don't turn God's delay into a declaration of God's denial. 3. Provision should produce gratitude, not pride. When God blesses you, remember the One who provided. Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us to remember the Lord. The blessing should never become more important than the Blesser. 🛠️ PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS 1. PRAY Tell God exactly what you need. 2. SEARCH YOUR HAND Ask: “What has God already placed in my hands?” Identify your gifts, skills, knowledge, relationships and opportunities. 3. OBEY GOD. Don't ask for provision while deliberately ignoring God's instructions. 4. WORK DILIGENTLY Faith does not cancel responsibility. Proverbs 14:23 says: > “In all labour there is profit.” Pray—but work. Believe—but prepare. Trust God—but be responsible. 5. LEARN TO MANAGE WHAT GOD PROVIDES. Sometimes the problem isn't lack of provision; it is poor stewardship. Learn to budget. Avoid unnecessary debt. Save when possible. Develop useful skills. Don't consume everything God puts into your hands. 6. HELP OTHERS God's provision is not merely for your comfort. Ask: “Who can I bless with what God has given me?” 🤔 QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. Do I truly believe God is my source? 2. What has God already placed in my hands? 3. Am I asking God for provision while ignoring His instructions? 4. Am I managing properly what God has already given me? 5. Has worry about money replaced my trust in God? 6. If God increases my resources, will I use them for His glory? 7. Am I seeking God's kingdom or only seeking God's gifts? 🙏 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. Father, I acknowledge You as my Source. Let my confidence never be in man, but in You. 2. Lord, open my eyes to see the opportunities, gifts and resources You have already placed in my hands. 3. Father, where one door has closed, open another door according to Your will. 4. Lord, give me wisdom to manage every blessing You place in my hands. 5. Father, provide for every genuine need in my life and family. 6. Lord, give me the discipline to work, save, build and prepare responsibly. 7. Father, let my testimony become a testimony that points people to Jesus Christ. 8. Lord, make me not only a receiver of provision but also a channel of blessing to others. 9. Every spirit of fear and anxiety concerning my future, I reject it in Jesus' name. 10. Father, according to Your Word, supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Amen. 🔥 STRONG CLOSING: TRUST THE PROVIDER. Child of God, don't worship the provision and forget the Provider. Don't let an empty bank account convince you that you have an empty God. Don't let one closed door make you believe that your story has ended. Don't measure God's faithfulness by today's circumstances. The God who fed Elijah can feed you. The God who sustained the widow can sustain you. The God who multiplied the loaves can multiply what you have. The God who provided His Son for your salvation will never abandon His children. But remember: Trust Him. Obey Him. Work diligently. Steward what He gives you. And keep seeking His kingdom. Your responsibility is not to figure out every detail of tomorrow. Your responsibility is to remain faithful today. And when you cannot see the provision, trust the Provider. DECLARE THIS BY FAITH: “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. God is my Source. He will give me wisdom, strength and opportunity to fulfill His purpose. I will not live in fear. I will not despise small beginnings. I will be faithful with what God has placed in my hands. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: 🔥SERMON: BE SPIRITUALLY ALERT — EMBER MONTHS ARE HERE. Theme: “Watch and Pray: Finishing the Year Strong in Christ” Key Text: 1 Peter 5:8–9 > “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 🔥 THE YEAR IS NOT OVER YET! Beloved, we have entered the final stretch of the year. The ember months—September, October, November and December—are often associated with celebrations, travelling, weddings, parties, business activities, family gatherings and end-of-year excitement. But as Christians, we must understand something: The end of the year is not a time to become spiritually careless. It is a time to become spiritually alert! Many people become relaxed because they think, “The year is almost over.” But the devil does not take a holiday. Your prayer life must not go on holiday. Your Bible study must not go on holiday. Your holiness must not go on holiday. Your spiritual discernment must not go on holiday. The fact that we are approaching the end of the year does not mean we should lower our spiritual guard. This is the season to watch, pray, discern and finish well! 1. 🛡️ BE SOBER AND VIGILANT. 1 Peter 5:8 Peter says: > “Be sober, be vigilant…” To be sober means to remain spiritually clear-minded. To be vigilant means to remain watchful and alert. A Christian can be physically awake but spiritually asleep. You may attend church and still become spiritually careless. You may carry a Bible and still lose spiritual sensitivity. You may pray yesterday and still need to pray today. The ember months can bring many distractions: Excessive celebrations Ungodly relationships Financial pressure Peer pressure Sexual temptation Substance abuse Unnecessary travelling Reckless spending Internet and social-media distractions Pressure to “make it before the year ends” Do not allow the excitement of the season to silence the voice of the Holy Spirit. 2. 🙏 WATCH AND PRAY Matthew 26:41 > “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation…” Notice that Jesus did not say pray without watching. He said: Watch AND pray. Prayer without spiritual alertness can make us careless. Spiritual alertness without prayer can make us powerless. We need both. During these months, increase your prayer life. Pray concerning: Your family Your children Your marriage Your career Your ministry Your finances Your travels Your relationships Your spiritual life The decisions you will make Do not wait until trouble comes before you begin to pray. Prayer is not only a crisis response; prayer is spiritual preparation. 3. 🕯️ DO NOT LET THE SEASON STEAL YOUR SPIRITUAL FIRE Romans 12:11 > “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. One danger of the ember months is spiritual fatigue. People become tired and say: > “I have prayed enough this year.” No! You don't retire from your relationship with God because the calendar is approaching December. Your spiritual fire must continue burning. Leviticus 6:13 > “The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.” Your altar must remain alive. Don't let December find you spiritually empty. Keep reading the Word. Keep praying. Keep worshipping. Keep serving. Keep witnessing. Keep forgiving. Keep walking in holiness. 4. ⚠️ BE CAREFUL WITH DECISIONS MADE UNDER PRESSURE. The final months of the year can create tremendous pressure. People begin asking: “What have you achieved this year?” “How much money have you made?” “When are you getting married?” “When will you build your house?” “When will you buy a car?” “What are you doing with your life?” Such questions can create comparison and desperation. And desperation can lead people into wrong decisions. Remember: You do not need to destroy your future because you are trying to impress people before December 31. Psalm 37:7 says: > “Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him…” Do not enter a wrong relationship because you are afraid of being single. Do not enter fraudulent business because you want quick money. Do not compromise your faith because you want acceptance. Do not abandon God's principles because you feel behind. God's timing is better than human pressure. 5. 🎯 FINISH THE YEAR STRONG. Philippians 3:13–14 Paul says: > “Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before…” There is still time. Perhaps January did not go as planned. Maybe February brought disappointment. Maybe March brought unexpected challenges. Maybe you made mistakes. Maybe opportunities passed. Maybe you experienced losses. But the year is not over yet. Don't spend the remaining months mourning what went wrong. Ask: > “Lord, what can I still do with the time You have given me?” You can still pray. You can still reconcile. You can still start. You can still learn. You can still serve. You can still evangelize. You can still correct your mistakes. You can still become spiritually stronger. There are still chapters of your story that have not been written. 📖 BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: NEHEMIAH. Consider Nehemiah. When Nehemiah and the people were rebuilding Jerusalem's wall, their enemies attempted to distract and intimidate them. Nehemiah 4:9 > “Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night…” Look at the balance: They prayed AND they watched. They did not say: > “We are praying, so we don't need to be careful.” Neither did they say: > “We are watching, so we don't need God.” They did both. Prayer + Watchfulness = Spiritual Alertness This is a powerful principle for the ember months. Pray as though everything depends on God. Work and watch as though God expects you to be responsible. 💡 DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS. 1. Not every opportunity is a God-given opportunity. Some opportunities are simply distractions dressed as blessings. Discern before you accept. 2. Not every relationship deserves access to your destiny. Some relationships strengthen your faith. Others weaken it. Watch your associations. 3. The enemy often uses distraction before destruction. He does not always begin with something obviously evil. Sometimes he begins with: > “Just this once.” Then another time. Then another. Eventually, compromise becomes normal. 4. The final months require spiritual discipline, not spiritual panic. Do not wait until December to start asking God to fix everything. Walk with God daily. 5. Your greatest victory may be finishing faithfully. Not everyone who starts well finishes well. Your goal should not simply be: > “I want to end the year wealthy.” Say: > “I want to end the year closer to God, stronger in faith, cleaner in character and faithful to my assignment.” ✅ PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS FOR THE EMBER MONTHS. 1. Establish a daily prayer time. Even if it is 15–30 minutes, be consistent. 2. Read the Bible daily. Don't allow social media to receive more attention than God's Word. 3. Examine your relationships. Ask who is strengthening your faith and who is weakening it. 4. Avoid unnecessary risks. Be wise with travelling, finances, relationships and celebrations. 5. Control your spending. Don't spend January's resources trying to impress people in December. 6. Stay connected to Christian fellowship. Don't isolate yourself spiritually. 7. Practice gratitude. Count your blessings instead of comparing yourself with others. 8. Set spiritual goals. Before the year ends, decide what you want to accomplish spiritually. 9. Reconcile where necessary. Do not carry unnecessary bitterness into another year. 10. Finish what God has entrusted to you. Don't abandon your assignment because the year has been difficult. 🤔 QUESTIONS FOR PERSONAL REFLECTION 1. How spiritually alert am I right now? 2. Has my prayer life become weaker? 3. What distractions are threatening my relationship with God? 4. Are there relationships I need to reconsider? 5. Am I making decisions because of God's leading or because of pressure? 6. What temptation do I need to become more watchful against? 7. What unfinished assignment should I complete before the year ends? 8. If the year ended today, would I be satisfied with my walk with God? 9. What must I stop doing? 10. What must I start doing? 🙏 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. Prayer for spiritual alertness Father, awaken my spirit and make me sensitive to Your voice. Help me to recognize every distraction and every trap of the enemy. 2. Prayer for protection Lord, preserve me, my family and everyone connected to me throughout these remaining months. Keep us from evil and unnecessary danger. 3. Prayer against temptation Father, strengthen me to say NO to every temptation that can destroy my testimony, destiny and relationship with You. 4. Prayer for divine direction. Lord, guide my decisions. Give me wisdom to know what to accept, what to reject and what to wait for. 5. Prayer against desperation Father, deliver me from the pressure to compete, compare or compromise. Help me to trust Your timing. 6. Prayer for restoration Lord, restore whatever I have lost that is according to Your will, and give me wisdom to recover what can still be recovered. 7. Prayer for finishing well Father, I will not finish this year spiritually empty. Give me grace to finish stronger, wiser, purer and closer to You than I started. 8. Prayer for the family Lord, preserve our families. Let no tragedy, division or destructive influence prevail over our homes. 9. Prayer for purpose Father, help me to complete every assignment You have entrusted to me before the end of this year. 10. Prayer of surrender Lord Jesus, I surrender the remaining months of this year to You. Take control of my life, my plans, my family, my decisions and my future. Let Your will be done in my life. Amen. 🔥 STRONG CLOSING: DON'T SLEEP THROUGH YOUR SEASON! Church, the ember months are here, but God's grace is still available! Don't become careless. Don't become distracted. Don't become desperate. Don't compromise. Don't allow celebrations to replace consecration. Don't allow social pressure to replace God's direction. Don't allow the mistakes of yesterday to destroy the possibilities of tomorrow. WATCH! PRAY! DISCERN! STAND FIRM! FINISH STRONG! TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: 6 SIGNS SOMEONE ISN’T REALLY CHRISTIAN. “A Christian by Name, or a Christian by Nature?” Text: Matthew 7:21–23; 2 Corinthians 13:5; 1 John 2:3–6 🔥 NOT EVERYONE WHO SAYS “LORD” KNOWS THE LORD. There is a dangerous assumption in Christianity today: “If someone goes to church, carries a Bible, posts Bible verses, sings worship songs, or calls Jesus ‘Lord,’ then that person must be a Christian.” But Jesus warned us that this is not always true. > “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 7:2 That statement should make every one of us pause. Jesus did not say, “Not everyone who attends church.” He said, “Not everyone who says, ‘Lord, Lord.’” This means it is possible to have Christian language without Christian life. It is possible to have a Bible in your hand but not have Christ in your heart. It is possible to be active in church but inactive in obedience. It is possible to know Christian songs without knowing Christ. And therefore, the question today is not: “Do people think I am a Christian?” The question is: “Does my life give evidence that I truly belong to Christ?” This message is not designed to judge other people. It is a mirror before it becomes a weapon. Before you examine your neighbor, examine yourself. LOOK AT THE 6 SIGNS:- 1. THEY HAVE NO GENUINE DESIRE TO OBEY CHRIST. A genuine Christian is not perfect, but there is a genuine desire to please God. Jesus said: > “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” — John 14:15 Obedience does not save us; Christ saves us. But genuine salvation produces a desire to obey the One who saved us. Someone may say: > “Jesus is my Lord.” But if Jesus is truly Lord, He must have authority over your decisions. You cannot continually say: “Jesus is Lord,” while your lifestyle says: “I am my own lord.” Important distinction A true Christian can fall into sin. But there is a difference between: falling into sin and building your life around sin. There is a difference between: > “Lord, I have failed. Forgive me.” and: > “I know it is wrong, but I don't care.” The first demonstrates repentance. The second demonstrates rebellion. 2. THEY HAVE NO EVIDENCE OF SPIRITUAL FRUIT. Jesus said: > “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” — Matthew 7:16 Notice that Jesus did not say: “You shall know them by their clothes.” He did not say: “You shall know them by their church attendance.” He said: “By their fruits.” What is growing in your life? Is there increasing love? Is there increasing patience? Is there forgiveness? Is there humility? Is there self-control? Is there compassion? Is there holiness? Galatians 5:22–23 describes the fruit of the Spirit. A genuine Christian should show evidence of spiritual transformation. Not perfection. Transformation. If someone has been claiming Christ for years but there is absolutely no evidence of Christlike character, that should lead to serious self-examination. 3. THEY LOVE THE WORLD MORE THAN THEY LOVE GOD. 1 John 2:15 says: > “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.” The Bible is not saying Christians cannot enjoy God's creation, work hard, have possessions, or live normal lives. The warning is about worldliness becoming the master of the heart. When money becomes more important than righteousness... When popularity becomes more important than holiness... When sexual pleasure becomes more important than obedience... When social media approval becomes more important than God's approval... When material possessions become our identity... Something is wrong. Jesus asked: > “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Mark 8:36 A Christian lives in the world, but the world must not live in the Christian's heart. 4. THEY HAVE NO LOVE FOR OTHER BELIEVERS. This is one of the strongest biblical tests. 1 John 3:14 says: > “He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.” Christianity is not merely about loving God with our lips. It also affects how we treat people. You cannot continually hate everyone, refuse forgiveness, enjoy destroying people's reputations, and then claim that your relationship with Christ is healthy. Jesus said: > “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” — John 13:35 Love does not mean allowing people to abuse you. Love does not mean approving everything people do. Love means treating people with the character of Christ. Ask yourself: How do I treat people who cannot benefit me? How do I treat those who disagree with me? How do I respond when someone succeeds? Can I forgive? Can I apologize? Can I celebrate another person's progress? Because sometimes the greatest evidence of Christianity is not what happens inside the church building, but how we behave outside it. 5. THEY ONLY FOLLOW JESUS WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT. Some people want Jesus as Savior but refuse Him as Lord. They want: Blessing without obedience. Breakthrough without discipline. Promises without repentance. Heaven without holiness. The crown without the cross. But Jesus said: > “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” — Luke 9:23 Following Christ will sometimes cost you something. It may cost you a relationship. It may cost you an opportunity. It may cost you popularity. It may cost you comfort. It may require you to say: “No.” when everybody else is saying: “Yes.” A genuine disciple does not follow Jesus only when following Him is profitable. Real Christianity is tested when obedience becomes costly. 6. THEY HAVE CHRISTIAN KNOWLEDGE BUT NO PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST. This may be the most frightening sign. A person can know about Jesus without actually knowing Jesus. You can memorize Scripture. You can preach sermons. You can sing worship songs. You can teach Sunday school. You can even perform religious activities. And still have a heart far from God. Jesus said in Matthew 7:23: > “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Those are terrifying words. Notice something: Jesus did not say: “You never knew about Me.” He said: “I never knew you.” Christianity is not merely information about Christ. It is relationship with Christ. You can know the Bible and not obey the Author. You can know Christian vocabulary and not know the Savior. You can sit in church every Sunday and still be spiritually lost. 📖 BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: JUDAS ISCARIOT One of the most sobering examples is Judas. Judas walked with Jesus. He heard Jesus teach. He witnessed miracles. He was among the disciples. He participated in ministry. Yet his heart was not surrendered to Christ. Eventually, he betrayed Jesus. This teaches us something uncomfortable: Being close to Christian activity does not automatically mean being close to Christ. You can be around the fire and still be cold inside. You can be around worship and still have an unconverted heart. You can be around pastors and still need salvation. You can be a church worker and still need Jesus. Therefore, don't ask: “How long have I been in church?” Ask: “Has Christ truly transformed my life?” 🔥 A DEEP SPIRITUAL TRUTH. Salvation is not proven by perfection; it is evidenced by transformation. The Christian life is not: > “I never make mistakes.” It is: > “I no longer want to remain the person I used to be.” When Christ enters a person's life, something begins to change. Their desires begin to change. Their priorities begin to change. Their relationships begin to change. Their attitude toward sin begins to change. Their hunger for God's Word begins to change. Their response to correction begins to change. Their heart begins to change. That is the work of grace. 🛠️ PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS. 1. Examine yourself Paul says: > “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith.” — 2 Corinthians 13:5 Don't only examine your neighbor. Examine yourself. 2. Repent where necessary Don't defend what God is asking you to surrender. If the Holy Spirit reveals something, repent. 3. Return to God's Word Don't build your Christianity around social media quotes. Build it around Scripture. Read it. Study it. Believe it. Practice it. 4. Develop a genuine prayer life Prayer is not merely asking God for things. Prayer is relationship. Talk to God. Listen to God. Seek His will. 5. Look for spiritual fruit Ask: “Am I becoming more like Christ?” Not: “Am I better than someone else?” 6. Make Jesus Lord, not merely Savior Don't only ask Jesus to rescue you from hell. Ask Him to rule your heart. 🤔 QUESTIONS FOR PERSONAL REFLECTION. 1. If someone watched my life for 30 days, would they see evidence of Christ? 2. Do I obey God only when obedience benefits me? 3. What fruit of the Spirit is growing in my life? 4. How do I treat people who cannot reward me? 5. Have I genuinely repented of my sins, or have I simply learned Christian language? 6. Do I know Jesus personally, or do I only know about Him? 🙏 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. Prayer of Examination Father, search my heart and reveal anything in me that is not pleasing to You. 2. Prayer of Repentance Lord Jesus, wherever I have lived in disobedience, forgive me and give me grace to turn completely back to You. 3. Prayer for Transformation Holy Spirit, transform my character and produce Your fruit in my life. 4. Prayer for Genuine Faith Father, remove every form of hypocrisy from my life. Let my Christianity be genuine, not merely outward. 5. Prayer for Love Lord, give me grace to love people sincerely, forgive quickly, and represent Christ correctly. 6. Prayer for Perseverance Jesus, when following You becomes difficult, give me strength not to turn back. 7. Prayer for Spiritual Hunger Lord, give me a deeper hunger for Your Word, prayer, holiness, and Your presence. 🔥 STRONG CLOSING: DON'T JUST WEAR THE NAME—CARRY THE NATURE. Church, the greatest question is not: “Am I called a Christian?” The greatest question is: “Does Christ truly live in me?” Don't be satisfied because your name is on a church register. Don't be satisfied because you have a Bible. Don't be satisfied because you attend Christian programs. Don't be satisfied because you can quote Scripture. Don't be satisfied because people call you “Brother” or “Sister.” Make sure you know Jesus. If you have drifted, come back. If you have been pretending, repent. If your faith has become merely religious, return to Christ. If you have never truly surrendered your life to Jesus, today is the day to surrender. Because one day, every religious mask will fall. Every title will disappear. Every reputation will disappear. Every earthly achievement will disappear. And we will stand before Christ. So let our prayer be: > “Lord Jesus, make me a genuine Christian—not merely a Christian by name, but a Christian by nature, character, faith, obedience, and love.” Don't just carry the Bible. Live the Bible. Don't just talk about Jesus. Follow Jesus. Don't just wear the name Christian. Let Christ be seen in you. May our lives preach the Gospel even when our mouths are silent. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS SERMON TOPIC: 5 “RELIGIONS” THAT SEEM CHRISTIAN, BUT ARE NOT! Theme Scripture: “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders…” — Matthew 24:24 > Important clarification: This message should not be used to attack people or mock sincere believers. The issue is doctrine—what a movement teaches about Jesus Christ, salvation, Scripture, and the gospel. Some groups may use Christian language while holding beliefs that differ fundamentally from historic biblical Christianity. NOT EVERYTHING THAT SAYS “JESUS” PREACHES JESUS. Church, one of the greatest dangers facing Christianity today is not only atheism. It is deception wearing religious clothing. The greatest danger is not always the person who says, “I don't believe in Jesus.” Sometimes the greater danger is the person who says, “Jesus is Lord,” carries a Bible, talks about prayer, sings Christian songs—but teaches another gospel. Jesus warned us: Matthew 7:15: > “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing…” Notice something: Jesus did not say they would come looking like wolves. They come in sheep's clothing. That means deception can look familiar. It can sound spiritual. It can quote Scripture. It can mention Jesus. It can even perform impressive religious activities. But the question is: WHO IS JESUS TO YOU? Because Christianity is not simply about believing that Jesus existed. It is about believing who Jesus is, what He accomplished on the cross, and how sinners are saved through Him. 1. THE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES. Jehovah's Witnesses use the Bible extensively and speak about God and Jesus. However, their theology differs fundamentally from historic Christian doctrine. One major difference concerns the identity of Jesus Christ. Historic Christianity teaches that Jesus is truly God, eternally existing with the Father and the Holy Spirit. John 1:1 says: > “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” And John 1:14 identifies the Word: > “And the Word was made flesh…” Jesus is not merely a created messenger. Why does this matter? Because if Jesus is only a created being, then the biblical doctrine of Christ has been fundamentally changed. Colossians 1:16 says concerning Christ: > “For by him were all things created…” If all things were created through Him, Christ cannot simply be another created thing. Spiritual lesson: Do not determine truth by how much Scripture someone quotes. Determine truth by whether their teaching agrees with the whole counsel of Scripture. 2. THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS — LDS/MORMONISM. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints uses the name of Jesus Christ and teaches about God, salvation, prayer and family. But its theology differs substantially from historic Christianity. Among its distinctive teachings are additional scriptures and doctrines concerning God, humanity, Jesus Christ, salvation and eternal destiny. The biblical faith teaches that Scripture is God's authoritative revelation and that the gospel of Christ is not to be replaced by another gospel. Paul warned: Galatians 1:8 > “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” The issue is therefore not merely: “Do they talk about Jesus?” The issue is: “Is the Jesus they preach the Jesus revealed in Scripture?” Paul said: 2 Corinthians 11:4 > “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus… There can be a different Jesus presented using the same name. 3. CHRISTIAN SCIENCE. Christian Science uses Christian vocabulary and refers to Jesus, God, prayer and healing. But its understanding of fundamental Christian doctrines differs significantly from biblical Christianity. Historic Christianity teaches the reality of sin, the physical incarnation of Christ, His death and bodily resurrection. The Bible says: 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 > “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day…” The resurrection was not merely a spiritual idea. Jesus physically rose from the dead. Thomas was invited to touch the wounds of the risen Christ. Jesus Himself said: Luke 24:39 > “A spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.” Spiritual lesson: Never reduce Christianity to positive thinking, spirituality or personal experience. The Christian faith is grounded in the historical work of Jesus Christ. The cross was real. The blood was real. The resurrection was real. And salvation is real. 4. UNITARIAN UNIVERSALISM Unitarian Universalism is religiously diverse and generally does not require belief in the historic Christian doctrines of the Trinity, the deity of Christ, or salvation through Christ alone. This is important because Christianity is not simply: > “Be a good person, love everybody, and believe in God.” Jesus did not teach that human morality alone could save us. Jesus said: John 14:6 > “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Christianity is fundamentally Christ-centered. Acts 4:12 declares: > “Neither is there salvation in any other…” The danger of religious morality A person can be kind and still be spiritually lost. A person can give to charity and still need salvation. A person can help the poor and still need Christ. Good works are important—but good works do not replace the gospel. Ephesians 2:8–9 says: > “For by grace are ye saved through faith… Not of works…” 5. ONENESS PENTECOSTALISM Here we need to be especially careful. Not everyone who uses the term "Oneness Pentecostal" believes exactly the same thing, but historic Christian churches generally regard Oneness theology as outside orthodox Trinitarian Christianity. Why? Because historic Christianity teaches: One God in three distinct Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19 says: > “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” At Jesus' baptism, we see the Son being baptized, the Spirit descending like a dove, and the Father's voice from heaven. The Father is not the Son. The Son is not the Holy Spirit. Yet there is one God. This is the mystery of the Trinity. Spiritual lesson: We must never reshape God into something easier for our minds to understand. We submit our understanding to God's revelation. THE BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: THE BEREANS. Acts 17:11 gives us one of the greatest examples of spiritual discernment. The Bereans: > “received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Notice they did not blindly accept even Paul's preaching. They searched the Scriptures. That is spiritual maturity. The question is not: > “Who preached it?” The question is: > “Is it biblical?” Not: > “How popular is this teacher?” But: > “Does this teaching agree with Scripture?” Not: > “How many miracles happened?” But: > “Does this exalt the biblical Christ?” 5 TESTS FOR IDENTIFYING FALSE TEACHING. 1. WHAT DOES IT TEACH ABOUT JESUS? Is Jesus truly God? Did He truly become flesh? Did He truly die? Did He physically rise from the dead? Is He the only Savior? 1 John 4:2–3 gives us a serious test concerning the confession of Christ. 2. WHAT DOES IT TEACH ABOUT SALVATION? The biblical gospel says: Ephesians 2:8: > “For by grace are ye saved through faith…” Salvation is not something we purchase with good works. It is God's gift through faith in Christ. 3. WHAT AUTHORITY DOES IT GIVE SCRIPTURE? Whenever a movement says: > “The Bible is not enough; you need our special revelation…” Christians must examine that claim carefully. The Bereans searched the Scriptures. Acts 17:11. 4. DOES IT PREACH ANOTHER GOSPEL? Paul was extremely strong about this. Galatians 1:9: > “If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” There is only one gospel. 5. DOES IT PRODUCE CHRISTLIKE FRUIT? Jesus said: Matthew 7:20 > “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Truth should produce holiness. Grace should produce transformation. The gospel should produce Christlikeness. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHT. The devil does not always need to convince people to stop believing in God. Sometimes he only needs to convince them to believe in a distorted version of God. That is why discernment is essential. Satan quoted Scripture when he tempted Jesus. Matthew 4:6. So the question is not simply: “Does this person quote the Bible?” The question is: “Is the Bible being interpreted correctly and is Christ being faithfully proclaimed?” PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS. 1. READ YOUR BIBLE FOR YOURSELF Do not build your theology entirely on sermons, TikTok videos, Facebook posts or YouTube clips. 2 Timothy 2:15 calls believers to rightly divide the word of truth. 2. KNOW THE FUNDAMENTALS OF CHRISTIAN FAITH Know what the Bible teaches about: God Jesus Christ The Holy Spirit Sin Salvation Grace The resurrection The second coming The authority of Scripture 3. TEST EVERY TEACHING Don't reject something merely because it is unfamiliar. And don't accept something merely because it is popular. Test it by Scripture. 4. DON'T MOCK PEOPLE Our assignment is not to insult people. Our assignment is to speak the truth in love. 2 Timothy 2:24–25 teaches believers to correct those who oppose the truth with gentleness. 5. KEEP YOUR EYES ON CHRIST. The goal of discernment is not to become experts in other people's errors. The goal is to become deeply rooted in Jesus Christ and His Word. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. Who do I believe Jesus Christ really is? 2. Do I know the biblical gospel clearly? 3. Can I recognize false teaching when I hear it? 4. Do I read Scripture for myself? 5. Have I allowed popularity to become my standard for truth? 6. Am I following Christ—or merely following a religious personality? 7. Can I defend my faith from Scripture? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Father, give me the spirit of discernment. Help me distinguish truth from error, in Jesus' name. 2. Lord, establish me deeply in Your Word so that I will not be carried away by every doctrine. 3. Father, reveal every false belief operating in my life and lead me into biblical truth. 4. Lord Jesus, help me know You—not merely know about You. 5. Give me wisdom to recognize false teachers without becoming judgmental, arrogant or hateful. 6. Holy Spirit, protect my heart from deception and keep me faithful to the true gospel. 7. Father, make me a faithful teacher of Your Word who will speak truth with love. STRONG CLOSING: DON'T JUST CARRY A BIBLE—KNOW THE CHRIST OF THE BIBLE Beloved, we are living in a generation where information is everywhere but discernment is becoming scarce. Everybody has a microphone. Everybody has an opinion. Everybody can build a platform. Everybody can quote a Bible verse. But not everybody is preaching the gospel. Therefore, don't follow a preacher simply because he is famous. Don't follow a movement because it is popular. Don't follow a religion because it uses Christian language. Follow Jesus Christ. Search the Scriptures. Test every doctrine. Guard your faith. Know the Word. Know the Savior. And when deception comes wearing religious clothing, may the Holy Spirit give you the wisdom to recognize it. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.” — 1 John 4:1 The question is not merely, “Does it look Christian?” The question is: “Does it faithfully proclaim the Jesus of Scripture and the gospel of grace?” Stand on the Word. Someone may be celebrated today while you are waiting. Someone may be ahead of you today while you are struggling. Do not despise yourself, and do not despise others. God has a time for everyone. Your responsibility is to remain faithful, humble, patient, and prepared until your season comes. > “There is a time for you, and there is a time for another person. When your time comes, no one can stop what God has ordained.” TRUE LIFE STORY:- There was once a very wealthy man in a village named Mr. Okon. He was the only very rich man in the community and lived in the state headquarters, and he owned a magnificent and beautifully furnished house in his Village. Whenever Mr. Okon visited the village, people gathered to welcome him. Men, women, and young people would come to pay their respects. One day, during one of his visits, a ten-year-old boy named Godwin came with some of the villagers to greet him. Mr. Okon welcomed the visitors and asked the men and women to sit on his chairs. However, when he saw Godwin, he told him to sit on the floor. According to Mr. Okon, the boy was not clean enough to sit on his expensive chair. Godwin was deeply humiliated. But rather than argue or insult the rich man, he quietly sat on the floor. Years passed. Godwin grew up, went to the university, graduated successfully, and eventually became the Governor of the State. Meanwhile, Mr. Okon had grown very old. With age, he had forgotten many things that had happened in the past. Godwin eventually built a befitting house in the village. Whenever he visited, he arrived with his convoy and was welcomed by the people. One day, Mr. Okon went to visit Governor Godwin along with others. To his greatest surprise, Godwin recognized him immediately. After the greetings, Godwin respectfully approached the elderly man and asked: "Sir, do you recognize me?" Mr. Okon looked at him carefully but could not remember. Godwin smiled and said: "I am Godwin—the little boy you once asked to sit on the floor because you considered me unworthy of sitting on your chair." Suddenly, Mr. Okon's memory returned. He remembered the little boy he had humiliated many years earlier. He was overwhelmed with emotion. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he realized how dramatically life had changed. The boy he considered insignificant had become the Governor, while he had become an elderly man seeking his attention. Godwin could have humiliated him in return. He could have ordered him to sit on the floor. But he chose something greater: He showed him respect. And Mr. Okon learned a lesson he would never forget. MORAL LESSONS 1. Never Look Down on People Because of Their Present Condition You may be looking at someone's beginning, not their destination. Godwin was only a ten-year-old boy when Mr. Okon judged him. He could not see the future that God had prepared for him. Never despise someone because they are poor, young, uneducated, unemployed, struggling, or unknown today. Today's condition is not necessarily tomorrow's position. 2. Treat Everyone With Dignity The way you treat people reveals your character. Wealth, position, education, beauty, influence, and power are temporary. But the dignity you give to another human being reflects the quality of your heart. Jesus taught: «"And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise." — Luke 6:31» Treat the cleaner with respect. Treat the child with respect. Treat the poor with respect. Treat the stranger with respect. Treat the person who cannot help you with respect. 3. Life Has Different Seasons There is a season when one person is ahead and another is behind. There is a season when someone is celebrated while another person is struggling. But seasons change. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that there is a time and season for everything. Therefore, never allow your present success to make you arrogant. The person you are ignoring today may occupy an important position tomorrow. 4. Don't Use Your Position to Humiliate Others Mr. Okon had wealth, and he used his position to make a little boy feel inferior. Having power does not give us permission to make others feel worthless. True greatness is demonstrated by how we treat those who have nothing to offer us. 5. Don't Revenge When God Elevates You This is one of the most powerful lessons in the story. Godwin had every opportunity to embarrass Mr. Okon. Instead, he treated him respectfully. That is maturity. Your elevation should not make you become what once hurt you. When God lifts you, don't use your new position to punish everyone who looked down on you. Let your success speak for itself. 6. Never Forget Where You Came From Success can make people forget the days when they needed help. Never forget the people, places, and experiences that shaped your journey. Stay humble. Remember your beginning. Remember those who helped you. And remember that everything you have today can change tomorrow. A MESSAGE FOR EVERYONE Perhaps you are currently sitting on the "floor" of life. People may not recognize you. People may underestimate you. People may laugh at your dreams. People may look at your present circumstances and conclude that you will never amount to anything. Don't give up. Your present position is not the final chapter of your story. And if you are currently sitting on the "chair" of success, don't become proud. Remember: the chair is temporary. One day, someone else may sit there. So while you are rising, lift others. While you are succeeding, encourage others. While you are influential, protect others. And while you are respected, respect others. FINAL REFLECTION You may be ahead of someone today, but you don't know what tomorrow holds for either of you. Therefore: Be humble when you are up. Be patient when you are down. Be kind when you have power. Be respectful when you have influence. And never humiliate someone because of where they are today. There is a time for you. There is a time for another person. And ultimately, there is a time when God changes the story. Prayer Lord, give me a humble heart. Help me never to despise anyone because of their present condition. Teach me to respect every person, regardless of their status. When You lift me, help me remember where I came from and use my position to bless others. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: TEACH CHILDREN NOT TO BELIEVE EVERY BIBLE QUOTE ONLINE. Theme: Test What You Hear Before You Believe It. Key Scripture «“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.” — 1 John 4:1» We live in a generation where a Bible verse can go viral in seconds—but being viral does not make it biblical. A beautiful picture with a Bible verse, thousands of likes, and a powerful caption can make something look spiritual. But children must learn an important lesson: “It is written online” does not automatically mean “God said it.” Some quotations circulating online are genuine Bible verses. Some are Bible verses taken out of context. Some are only human sayings that have been placed inside quotation marks and falsely presented as Scripture. If we teach our children to believe everything they see online, they may eventually believe a lie simply because the lie is decorated with a Bible verse. The Bible says: «“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:21» Our children need more than smartphones. They need biblical discernment. 1. TEACH CHILDREN THAT THE BIBLE IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY 2 Timothy 3:16–17 «“All scripture is given by inspiration of God…”» Paul teaches that Scripture comes from God and is useful for teaching, correction, and instruction in righteousness. This means that when an online statement contradicts God's Word, we don't change the Bible to accommodate the internet. We test the internet by the Bible. Teach your children: “Don't ask first, ‘How many people shared it?’ Ask, ‘Where is it written?’” A statement can have one million shares and still be false. Popularity is not proof. 2. TEACH THEM TO READ THE VERSE IN CONTEXT One of the easiest ways to deceive people is to take a true Bible verse and give it a false meaning. For example: «“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” — Philippians 4:13» This verse is often used online to mean, “I can accomplish absolutely anything I want.” But when you read Philippians 4, Paul is talking about learning to live faithfully in both abundance and need. The verse is about Christ strengthening us to remain faithful in every circumstance, not giving us a guarantee that every personal ambition will succeed. Teach children: Never build a doctrine from a verse you have never read in its chapter. A verse has a context. A chapter has a context. A book of the Bible has a context. And God's Word must be handled faithfully. 3. TEACH THEM THAT NOT EVERY “BIBLE QUOTE” IS FROM THE BIBLE This is extremely important in the digital generation. You may see statements such as: “God helps those who help themselves.” It sounds religious. But it is not a Bible verse. You may also see beautiful motivational statements attributed to Jesus, Paul, Solomon, or other biblical characters that they never actually said. Children need to learn the difference between: “The Bible says…” and “Someone said something that sounds biblical.” Those are not the same thing. Acts 17:11 The Bereans were commended because they listened to Paul's teaching but searched the Scriptures daily to see whether those things were true. That is biblical discernment. They did not reject everything. They did not accept everything. They examined everything. 4. TEACH CHILDREN TO ASK QUESTIONS Faith is not afraid of honest questions. When your child sees a Bible quotation online, teach them to ask: 1. Where is this written in the Bible? 2. Who actually said it? 3. What is the context? 4. Does another Scripture support or contradict this interpretation? 5. Is this Scripture—or someone's opinion about Scripture? This is not teaching children to doubt God's Word. It is teaching them not to doubt God's Word because of someone's misuse of it. 1 John 4:1 «“Believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God…”» Notice the Bible does not say, “Believe everything.” Neither does it say, “Believe nothing.” It says: TEST IT. 5. TEACH THEM THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES NOT CANCEL BIBLICAL DISCERNMENT Some people say, “I just feel that this quote is from God.” But feelings are not the final standard of truth. Isaiah 8:20 «“To the law and to the testimony…”» Whatever we believe must be tested against God's revealed Word. The Holy Spirit leads believers into truth, but the Holy Spirit will never lead us into something that contradicts Scripture. Therefore, teach your children: Don't follow every emotional message. Follow truth. An online preacher may be sincere and still be mistaken. A popular Christian influencer may be knowledgeable and still interpret a passage wrongly. A beautiful quote may sound spiritual and still be unscriptural. Sincerity is not the same as truth. BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: THE SERPENT IN THE GARDEN. Genesis 3:1–5 The serpent approached Eve and questioned what God had said. The strategy was subtle. The enemy did not begin by saying, “Forget God.” He began by distorting God's Word. God had given a clear command, but Satan manipulated the meaning. This teaches us something powerful: The enemy does not always attack God's Word by denying it. Sometimes he attacks it by twisting it. That is exactly why our children must know Scripture for themselves. If they only know Bible quotes from social media, someone can easily manipulate them. But if they know the Word in context, they become harder to deceive. A REAL-LIFE DIGITAL CASE STUDY. Imagine a teenager sees a post saying: «“God wants you to be rich. If you are poor, you are outside God's will.”» Thousands of people have liked it. The teenager believes it. Later, the teenager becomes discouraged because his family is struggling financially. He begins thinking: “Maybe God has rejected us.” But then he opens Scripture and discovers faithful servants of God who experienced hardship, persecution, hunger, rejection, and suffering. Suddenly he realizes: Financial hardship is not automatic evidence that God has abandoned you. One misleading online interpretation could have damaged his understanding of God. This is why biblical education must begin at home, in church, and in our children's daily lives. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS FOR PARENTS AND CHURCH LEADERS. 1. Teach children to carry a physical or digital Bible Don't let social media become their only Bible. 2. Have family Bible-reading time Read the whole passage, not just isolated verses. 3. Encourage questions When your child asks, “Daddy, is this really in the Bible?” don't silence the question. Search the Scriptures together. 4. Teach them how to check references If someone says, “Jesus said this,” ask: “Where did Jesus say it?” 5. Teach them the difference between Scripture and commentary A person's explanation of Scripture is not Scripture itself. 6. Don't let your children blindly follow Christian influencers Respect people, but test teaching. 7. Model discernment yourself Children learn not only from what we preach but from what they see us share. Before forwarding a Christian message, ask: “Is this actually biblical?” DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHT The greatest danger facing the next generation may not be that they stop seeing Bible verses. It may be that they see many Bible verses without learning how to understand the Bible. We can raise children who know hundreds of Christian quotes but do not know the God of Scripture. We can raise children who know Christian hashtags but cannot defend their faith. We can raise children who can recognize a viral preacher but cannot recognize false teaching. Therefore, our assignment is not merely to give children Bible information. Our assignment is to develop biblical discernment. Hosea 4:6 «“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”» Knowledge matters. Understanding matters. Discernment matters. The next generation needs believers who can say, “That sounds good, but let me check the Word of God.” QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. Do I believe something because it is biblical or because it is popular? 2. Do I read Bible passages in context? 3. Can I distinguish Scripture from someone's interpretation? 4. Am I teaching my children how to examine what they see online? 5. Do I verify Christian messages before sharing them? 6. If someone misquotes Scripture, would I recognize the error? 7. Are my children learning the Bible—or merely learning Bible quotes? POWERFUL PRAYER POIN. 1. Prayer for Discernment Father, give our children spiritual discernment to distinguish truth from error, in Jesus' name. 2. Prayer Against Deception Lord, protect the minds of our children from every form of spiritual deception and false teaching. 3. Prayer for Love of God's Word Father, create in our children a genuine hunger for Your Word. Let them love Scripture and desire to know You. 4. Prayer for Parents Lord, give parents wisdom to teach their children biblical truth and model godly discernment. 5. Prayer for the Digital Generation Father, let social media become a tool for spreading truth rather than a doorway to deception. 6. Prayer for Spiritual Stability Lord, establish our children so deeply in Your Word that no strange teaching will easily move them. CALL TO ACTION Parents, pastors, teachers, and Christian leaders—we must wake up. Our children are being discipled every day. Someone is teaching them through TikTok. Someone is teaching them through YouTube. Someone is teaching them through Facebook. Someone is teaching them through Instagram. The question is not whether our children are being taught. The question is: WHO IS TEACHING THEM? Don't simply tell them: “Don't believe everything online.” Teach them HOW TO TEST EVERYTHING BY THE WORD OF GOD. Don't only give them a Bible. Teach them how to read it. Don't only tell them to follow Jesus. Teach them how to recognize voices that misrepresent Jesus. And don't allow the internet to become your child's Bible teacher. Let God's Word remain the foundation. Remember: Not everything that sounds Christian is biblical. Not everything with a Bible verse is God's message. Not everything that goes viral is true. Test it. Search it. Examine it. Compare it with Scripture. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: THE REAL REASON BARABBAS WAS SET FREE AND NOT JESUS. Main Text: Matthew 27:15–26; Mark 15:6–15; Luke 23:13–25; John 18:38–40 There are moments in Scripture that make us stop and ask, “How could this happen?” Jesus was innocent. Barabbas was guilty. Jesus healed the sick. Barabbas was a criminal. Jesus preached love, forgiveness, and the Kingdom of God. Barabbas was associated with rebellion and violence. Yet the crowd shouted: “Release Barabbas!” And concerning Jesus: “Crucify Him!” It looks like injustice won. But here is the deeper truth: Barabbas was not simply released because Jesus lost the argument. Barabbas was released because Jesus was going to take his place. The story of Barabbas is actually a picture of the Gospel. Barabbas represents the guilty sinner. Jesus represents the innocent Savior. Barabbas walked away free because Jesus walked toward the cross. And that is the mystery of grace: The guilty goes free because the innocent One takes his place. 1. BARABBAS WAS GUILTY, BUT JESUS WAS INNOCENT Pilate examined Jesus and repeatedly found no sufficient reason to condemn Him. Luke 23:22 says: «“I have found no reason for death in Him.”» Jesus was innocent. But Barabbas had committed serious crimes. Mark 15:7 tells us that Barabbas had been involved in rebellion and murder. So, humanly speaking, the choice should have been obvious. But the crowd chose Barabbas. Why? Because the cross was not an accident. Jesus had already declared that He came to give His life for others. Mark 10:45 says: «“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”» Jesus knew why He came. He came to become the substitute. Spiritual Insight Sometimes we ask, “Why did Jesus have to die?” The answer is partly found in Barabbas. Someone had to bear the consequence of sin. And Jesus willingly took that place. 2. BARABBAS RECEIVED WHAT JESUS DESERVED This is the shocking part of the story. Barabbas deserved punishment. Jesus deserved no punishment. Yet Barabbas walked out of prison. Jesus walked toward Golgotha. Barabbas went free. Jesus was condemned. Barabbas was released. Jesus was crucified. This is substitution. The guilty person goes free because the innocent person takes his place. Isaiah 53:5 declares: «“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities.”» Notice the language: Our transgressions. Our iniquities. Our punishment. The cross was personal. Jesus was not dying because He had sinned. He was dying because we had sinned. Think About This Barabbas probably did not understand everything that was happening. He may have walked out of that prison wondering how he escaped death. But we know something he may not have understood: Another Man died in his place. And spiritually, that is our story. We were guilty. Christ took our place. 3. THE RELEASE OF BARABBAS REVEALS THE DEPTH OF GOD'S GRACE Grace is not God pretending that sin does not matter. Grace is God dealing with sin through the sacrifice of Christ. Romans 5:8 says: «“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”» That means Jesus did not wait for us to become perfect before He loved us. He loved us while we were still sinners. Barabbas did not earn his freedom. He did not negotiate his release. He did not pay the governor. He simply received an unexpected release. That is grace. Grace is receiving what you could never earn because someone else paid the price. You cannot boast about salvation. You cannot say, “I saved myself.” No. Jesus saved you. 4. THE CROWD CHOSE BARABBAS, BUT GOD WAS WORKING THROUGH THE CROSS The crowd thought they were making the final decision. But heaven had already established a redemptive purpose. Acts 2:23 says that Jesus was delivered according to the “determined purpose and foreknowledge of God.” This does not mean the people were innocent. Their choices were still sinful. But God was able to accomplish His redemptive plan through what sinful people intended for evil. This is one of the mysteries of God's sovereignty. People thought: “We are getting rid of Jesus.” God was accomplishing: “I am providing salvation for humanity.” The cross looked like defeat. But it became victory. The grave looked like the end. But resurrection was coming. Never Judge God's Work Too Early There may be seasons in your life when everything looks like it is going in the wrong direction. But remember Calvary. Friday looked like defeat. Sunday revealed the victory. Do not conclude the story while God is still writing it. 5. BARABBAS IS A PICTURE OF EVERY SINNER WHO RECEIVES SALVATION We often read the story and say: “Why did they release Barabbas?” But there is another question: “What if I were Barabbas?” What if you were the one sitting in that prison? What if you knew punishment was coming? What if you knew you were guilty? Then suddenly, the story becomes personal. Barabbas walked out because Jesus took his place. And every person who comes to Christ in genuine faith can say: “I deserved judgment, but Christ took my place.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 says: «“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”» That is the Gospel. Jesus took our place so that we could receive His righteousness. BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: THE CROSS Look at the sequence. Barabbas: Guilty. Jesus: Innocent. Barabbas: Imprisoned. Jesus: Free. Barabbas: Released. Jesus: Condemned. Barabbas: Walked away. Jesus: Walked toward the cross. Barabbas: Lived because another died. Believers: Receive eternal life because Christ died and rose again. The cross is therefore more than a religious symbol. It is the place where justice and mercy met. Justice says sin must be dealt with. Mercy says sinners can be saved. At the cross, Jesus bore the judgment so that mercy could reach us. PRACTICAL LESSONS FOR CHRISTIANS. 1. Never take salvation for granted. You were not saved because you were better than someone else. You were saved by grace. Therefore, remain humble. 2. Stop trying to earn God's love You cannot work your way into salvation. Serve God because you love Him, not because you are trying to purchase His acceptance. 3. Forgive others If Christ has forgiven you, you must learn to extend forgiveness to others. 4. Live like someone who has been set free Barabbas walked out of prison. The believer has also been delivered from the dominion of sin. Do not keep living like a prisoner when Christ has made you free. 5. Tell someone about Jesus Your testimony may be simple: “I was guilty, but Jesus took my place.” That is powerful enough. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. Have I truly understood what Jesus accomplished for me on the cross? 2. Am I trying to earn God's acceptance instead of receiving His grace? 3. Do I live like someone who has been set free? 4. Have I truly repented of my sins? 5. Who can I tell about the saving grace of Jesus Christ? 6. Do I extend to others the same mercy I have received from Christ? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. Prayer of Thanksgiving Father, thank You for sending Jesus Christ to take my place. Thank You for Your mercy and grace. I will never take my salvation for granted. In Jesus' name, Amen. 2. Prayer of Repentance Lord Jesus, forgive me for every sin, disobedience, pride, and rebellion in my life. Cleanse me and help me walk faithfully with You. Amen. 3. Prayer for Freedom Every chain of sin, addiction, fear, and spiritual bondage in my life, break in the name of Jesus. I declare that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Amen. 4. Prayer for Grace Father, help me to understand the depth of Your grace and to live every day with gratitude for what Christ has done for me. Amen. 5. Prayer for Others Lord, use my life to bring other Barabbases to Jesus—people who feel condemned, rejected, broken, and far from You. Let my testimony point them to the cross. Amen. DEEP SPIRITUAL TRUTH Here is the heart of the message: Barabbas was released, not because he was innocent, but because another took his place. And that is the Gospel. We are not saved because we are perfect. We are saved because Jesus is perfect. We are not accepted because we deserve it. We are accepted because Christ paid the price. We are not standing before God because of our righteousness. We stand because of His righteousness. The cross says: “Your sin is serious, but God's grace is greater.” CALL TO ACTION Today, do not simply admire the story of Barabbas. See yourself in it. You were guilty. Christ took your place. You were condemned. Christ bore the condemnation. You were far from God. Christ opened the way back to the Father. The question is not merely: “Why was Barabbas released?” The deeper question is: “What will I do with the Jesus who took my place?” Will you continue living for yourself? Or will you surrender your life completely to Him? Will you keep returning to the prison of sin? Or will you walk in the freedom Christ purchased for you? Jesus took your place. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: THE MOST DANGEROUS BELIEVERS ARE NOT THOSE WHO LEAVE THE CHURCH. Theme: Examining the danger of remaining around the things of God while the heart is far from God Scripture: Matthew 7:21–23; Revelation 3:1–3; Luke 18:9–14 Church, let me begin with a statement that may shock you: The most dangerous believer is not always the one who leaves the church. Sometimes, it is the one who remains in the church but leaves Christ in the heart. Some people leave the church physically, and everybody notices. But there are others who remain in the congregation, sing the songs, carry the Bible, attend services, shout “Amen,” give offerings, quote Scriptures—and yet their hearts have slowly moved away from God. They have not left the building, but they have left the Presence. Jesus warned us that there would be people who would say, “Lord, Lord,” and yet He would say, “I never knew you.” — Matthew 7:23. This means church attendance is not the same thing as spiritual transformation. You can sit in church and still be far from God. You can know Christian language and not know Christ. You can serve in a department and secretly serve your flesh. You can have a title without having a testimony. The question is not merely: “Am I in church?” The deeper question is: “Is Christ truly ruling my life?” KEY BIBLE VERSES. 1. Matthew 7:21–23 — “Lord, Lord” Jesus said: «“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven…”» Notice something frightening: these people called Jesus “Lord.” They knew the language of faith. They even claimed to have done mighty works. Yet Jesus said, “I never knew you.” Spiritual lesson: It is possible to be familiar with the things of God without having a genuine relationship with God. Church activity cannot replace spiritual intimacy. 2. Revelation 3:1 — “You have a name that you are alive” Jesus told the church at Sardis: «“Thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.”» What a frightening diagnosis! The church had a reputation for being alive, but Jesus saw something different. People saw activity. Jesus saw the heart. People saw the appearance. Jesus saw the condition. Spiritual lesson: God is more interested in who you are privately than who you appear to be publicly. 3. Isaiah 29:13 «“This people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me; but have removed their heart far from me.”» Their lips were close. Their hearts were far away. This is the danger of religious appearance without genuine surrender. 5 TYPES OF DANGEROUS BELIEVERS 1. THE BELIEVER WHO KNOWS SCRIPTURE BUT REFUSES TO OBEY IT There is a difference between knowing God's Word and living God's Word. James 1:22 says: «“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only…”» Some believers can explain forgiveness but refuse to forgive. They can preach holiness but live carelessly. They can quote Scripture but manipulate people. They know what God says, but they have decided to obey themselves. Deep insight: Information without transformation can produce religious pride. The devil does not necessarily fear a Christian who knows many Bible verses. He fears the Christian who believes, obeys, and lives the Word. 2. THE BELIEVER WHO HAS A FORM OF GODLINESS BUT NO POWER 2 Timothy 3:5 speaks about people: «“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.”» A form is an outward appearance. It looks right. It sounds right. But something is missing inside. You can dress like a Christian. Talk like a Christian. Post Christian messages. Attend Christian programs. And still refuse to surrender your character to Christ. Ask yourself: What happens to my Christianity when nobody is watching? That is where genuine Christianity is tested. Your secret life is a better measurement of your spiritual condition than your public reputation. 3. THE BELIEVER WHO HAS BECOME COMFORTABLE WITH SIN One of the most dangerous conditions is not falling into sin accidentally. It is becoming comfortable with sin deliberately. The believer begins by saying: «“It is only once.”» Then: «“Everybody is doing it.”» Then: «“God understands.”» Eventually, the conscience becomes quiet. Romans 6:1–2 warns against continuing in sin because grace abounds. Deep spiritual truth: Grace is not permission to remain in sin. Grace is God's power to bring us out of sin. If something is destroying your relationship with God, don't defend it. Repent from it. 4. THE BELIEVER WHO LOVES THE CHURCH BUT DOES NOT LOVE CHRIST This may sound strange, but it happens. Someone can love: - The choir - The pastor - The church building - Christian conferences - Christian music - Christian social media - Christian friendships …but fail to love Jesus with all their heart. Jesus told the church at Ephesus: «“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.” — Revelation 2:4» They were working. They were enduring. They were doctrinally discerning. But they had lost their first love. Important lesson: You can be busy doing things for Jesus while becoming distant from Jesus. Don't allow ministry to replace relationship. Don't allow your assignment to replace intimacy. Don't allow the work of God to become more important than the God of the work. 5. THE BELIEVER WHO REFUSES CORRECTION A dangerous believer is one who cannot be corrected. When the pastor preaches against something they are doing, they become angry. When a mature Christian warns them, they say: «“Don't judge me.”» When Scripture confronts their lifestyle, they look for another interpretation. Proverbs 12:1 says: «“Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.”» Spiritual maturity means: I am willing to be corrected because I want to become more like Christ. A person who cannot receive correction will eventually become a prisoner of their own deception. BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: JUDAS ISCARIOT Judas is one of the most sobering examples in Scripture. Judas walked with Jesus. He heard Jesus teach. He witnessed miracles. He traveled with the disciples. He was part of the ministry. He was close enough to Jesus to call Him Master. Yet Judas eventually betrayed Him. This teaches us something frightening: Being close to spiritual things does not automatically mean your heart belongs to God. You can be around anointed people and remain unchanged. You can witness miracles and still struggle with unbelief. You can carry a Bible and still carry bitterness. You can occupy a position and lose your spiritual condition. But there is hope. Peter also failed Jesus. The difference was that Peter returned in repentance. Judas allowed his failure to lead him into destruction. Failure does not have to be the end of your story. Repentance can become the beginning of restoration. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS 1. EXAMINE YOUR HEART Psalm 139:23–24: «“Search me, O God, and know my heart…”» Don't only ask, “What is wrong with others?” Ask: “Lord, what needs to change in me?” 2. RETURN TO YOUR FIRST LOVE If prayer has become a duty, return. If Bible reading has become routine, return. If worship has become performance, return. If your passion for Christ has disappeared, return. 3. STOP JUSTIFYING WHAT GOD IS ASKING YOU TO REPENT OF Don't rename sin. Don't call disobedience “weakness.” Don't call compromise “wisdom.” Don't call rebellion “freedom.” When God reveals something, respond with repentance. 4. PRACTICE PRIVATE CHRISTIANITY Pray when nobody is watching. Read the Word when nobody is applauding. Give when nobody knows. Forgive when nobody forces you. Serve when nobody celebrates you. What you do privately reveals what you truly value. 5. STAY TEACHABLE Allow God's Word to correct you. Allow mature believers to challenge you. Allow the Holy Spirit to convict you. A heart that can still be corrected is a heart that can still be transformed. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS 1. PROXIMITY TO HOLY THINGS DOES NOT GUARANTEE HOLINESS. Judas was close to Jesus physically, but his heart was not surrendered. 2. RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY CAN HIDE SPIRITUAL DECLINE. A person can become busier in church while becoming colder toward God. 3. GOD LOOKS BEYOND THE PLATFORM. People may see your preaching. God sees your private life. People hear your words. God knows your motives. 4. THE GREATEST DANGER IS SELF-DECEPTION. A sinner who knows he is lost may seek help. But someone who is lost and believes he is spiritually healthy may never seek rescue. 5. JESUS DOES NOT ONLY WANT YOUR CHURCH ATTENDANCE. He wants your heart. He wants your character. He wants your obedience. He wants your entire life. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. Am I following Jesus or merely following Christian activities? 2. Does my private life agree with my public confession? 3. Is there any sin I have become comfortable with? 4. Can I receive correction without becoming offended? 5. Have I lost my first love for Christ? 6. Am I more concerned about what people think about me than what God thinks about me? 7. If Jesus examined my heart today, what would He find? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. Father, search my heart and expose everything in me that is not pleasing to You, in Jesus' name. 2. Lord Jesus, deliver me from religious appearance without spiritual reality. 3. Father, restore my first love for You. Let my passion for Christ become stronger again. 4. Lord, give me grace to obey Your Word, not merely hear it. 5. Every spirit of hypocrisy and self-deception, be broken over my life, in Jesus' name. 6. Father, give me a heart that receives correction and grows in wisdom. 7. Lord, let my private life and public testimony agree. 8. Holy Spirit, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. 9. Father, keep me faithful to Christ until the end of my journey. CALL TO ACTION Beloved, don't leave this message thinking about another believer. Think about yourself. Don't ask: «“Who in my church needs to hear this?”» Ask: «“Lord, what are You saying to me?”» The goal of Christianity is not simply to remain in church. The goal is to remain in Christ. Jesus said in John 15:4: «“Abide in me, and I in you.”» Don't just carry the name Christian. Carry Christ in your heart. Don't just attend church. Become the church wherever you go. Don't just quote the Word. Live the Word. Don't just raise your hands in worship. Surrender your heart in obedience. And don't wait until you stand before Jesus to discover that you were close to church but far from Christ. TODAY, RETURN TO JESUS. Return to your first love. Return to prayer. Return to the Word. Return to holiness. Return to obedience. Return to genuine fellowship with Christ. The greatest question is not, “Did I attend church?” It is: “DOES JESUS TRULY KNOW ME?” May we never be believers who merely look alive. May we be believers who are truly alive in Christ. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: HOW CAN YOU PRAY SO THAT GOD HEARS YOU? Main Text: Psalm 66:18–20; 1 John 5:14–15 Supporting Texts: Matthew 6:5–13; James 5:16; Proverbs 15:29; Mark 11:24–25 GOD IS STILL LISTENING. One of the deepest questions a believer can ask is: “When I pray, does God really hear me?” You may have prayed for months and seen no answer. You may have cried in secret, knelt beside your bed, prayed in church, prayed while travelling, prayed when nobody knew what you were going through—and still wondered, “God, are You hearing me?” Here is the good news: God hears prayer. But the Bible also teaches us that there is a way to approach God in prayer. Prayer is not merely talking loudly. Prayer is not using many religious words. Prayer is not trying to manipulate God. Prayer is fellowship with the Father. Jesus said: «“Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.” — Matthew 6:8» So the question is not simply, “How much do I pray?” The deeper question is: “How do I position my heart when I pray?” 1. PRAY WITH A SINCERE AND HUMBLE HEART God is not impressed by religious performance. He looks at the heart. Psalm 51:17 says: «“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart…”» David understood something important: God values the condition of the heart more than the appearance of the prayer. You can pray beautiful words with a proud heart and miss the heart of prayer. But you can come before God with tears, weakness, and simple words and experience His presence. Jesus' illustration In Luke 18:9–14, Jesus told the story of two men who went to the temple to pray. One was a Pharisee. He boasted about himself. The other was a tax collector. He simply cried: «“God be merciful to me a sinner.” — Luke 18:13» Jesus said the humble man went home justified. Spiritual lesson God is not looking for impressive prayers; He is looking for surrendered hearts. Come to God honestly. If you are hurting, tell Him. If you are confused, tell Him. If you have failed, confess it. If you are afraid, tell Him. Prayer begins when pretending ends. 2. PRAY WITH FAITH James 1:6 says: «“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.”» Faith does not mean that you dictate to God what He must do. Faith means that you trust who God is, even when you do not understand what He is doing. Mark 11:24 says: «“What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”» Faith says: “Father, I believe You are able.” And when the answer does not come immediately: “Father, I still trust You.” Faith does not disappear because the answer is delayed. Remember the three possible answers to prayer: YES — God grants the request. WAIT — God is working, but the timing is different. NO — God knows something you do not know. A “no” from God is not proof that God has abandoned you. Sometimes God's refusal is protection. Sometimes His delay is preparation. Sometimes His silence is developing your spiritual maturity. 3. PRAY ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL One of the most powerful scriptures on prayer is: «“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.” — 1 John 5:14» Notice the words: “According to His will.” Prayer is not about making God's will submit to ours. Prayer is about bringing our desires into alignment with God's will. Jesus demonstrated this in Gethsemane. He prayed: «“Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” — Luke 22:42» Jesus was facing the cross, yet He surrendered to the Father's will. That is mature prayer. A child may say: “God, give me what I want.” But spiritual maturity says: “God, give me what You know is best.” A powerful prayer to learn: “Lord, if this desire is from You, establish it. If it is not from You, remove it. And if I must wait, give me grace to wait.” 4. DEAL WITH UNFORGIVENESS AND SIN We must be careful here. The Bible does not teach that every unanswered prayer means a person has committed some hidden sin. Job suffered greatly without being guilty of the accusations brought against him. However, Scripture clearly teaches that deliberate, unrepentant sin can affect our relationship and fellowship with God. Psalm 66:18 says: «“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”» And Isaiah 59:2 says: «“But your iniquities have separated between you and your God…”» God is merciful, but we should not treat sin casually. What about unforgiveness? Jesus taught: «“And when ye stand praying, forgive…” — Mark 11:25» You cannot continuously ask God for mercy while deliberately refusing to show mercy to others. Forgiveness does not mean saying that what happened was acceptable. Forgiveness means releasing vengeance into God's hands. Ask yourself: “Is there somebody I need to forgive?” “Is there something God has been asking me to surrender?” “Am I asking God to bless something He has already told me to leave?” 5. PRAY WITH PERSISTENCE Some answers require persistent prayer. Jesus taught this through the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1–8. The purpose of the parable was clear: «“Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” — Luke 18:1» Do not stop praying simply because you have not yet seen the answer. Daniel gives us another powerful example. In Daniel 10, Daniel prayed and fasted. His answer was delayed, but heaven had heard him from the beginning. The angel told him: «“From the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand… thy words were heard.” — Daniel 10:12» Think about that! Daniel was praying on earth while heaven was already responding. The delay did not mean God had ignored him. BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: HANNAH — A WOMAN WHO POURED OUT HER SOUL Hannah's story in 1 Samuel 1 is one of the clearest pictures of persistent prayer. She was deeply troubled because she had no child. She went to the house of the Lord and prayed. She didn't simply perform a religious ritual. She poured out her soul before God. Eli initially misunderstood her. But Hannah kept praying. Eventually, God answered her prayer and gave her Samuel. Her story teaches us: 1. You can bring your deepest pain to God. 2. People may misunderstand your prayer, but God understands your heart. 3. Delay does not mean denial. 4. God can turn tears into testimony. Hannah went into the presence of God carrying sorrow. She came out carrying peace. The circumstances had not immediately changed—but something had changed inside her. That is one of the miracles of prayer. Sometimes prayer changes the situation. Sometimes prayer changes the person going through the situation. And sometimes God does both. WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT GOD "HEARS" PRAYER? When Scripture says God hears prayer, it means far more than God simply detecting our words. It means God attends to, receives, and responds according to His wisdom and will. God hears the prayer of His children. Proverbs 15:29 says: «“The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.”» And James 5:16 declares: «“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”» Your prayer may look small on earth, but it is not small when it reaches heaven. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS 1. SET A CONSISTENT PRAYER TIME Do not pray only when there is an emergency. Build a prayer life. 2. BEGIN WITH WORSHIP Before presenting your shopping list to God, acknowledge who He is. “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name…” — Matthew 6:9 3. CONFESS YOUR SINS Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart. Psalm 139:23–24 4. PRAY SCRIPTURE Use God's Word as the foundation of your prayers. 5. ASK SPECIFICALLY Instead of only saying, “Lord, bless me,” tell God what you are trusting Him for. 6. LEARN TO LISTEN Prayer is not a one-way conversation. After speaking, become quiet before God. Read Scripture. Pay attention to the convictions and guidance of the Holy Spirit. 7. KEEP A PRAYER JOURNAL Write down your requests. Record dates. Record answers. One day you will look back and realize how many prayers God answered. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS 1. God's silence is not necessarily God's absence. You may not hear anything, but God may still be working. 2. Prayer is not primarily about getting things; it is about knowing God. The greatest answer to prayer is not always a possession. Sometimes it is God Himself. 3. Prayer changes the atmosphere of the person praying. You may enter prayer anxious and leave with peace. 4. God's answer may be different from your expectation. Never limit God to one method of answering. 5. The strongest prayer is surrendered prayer. “Lord, have Your way” is one of the deepest expressions of faith. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. When I pray, am I seeking God's will or only demanding my own will? 2. Is there any known sin I need to confess? 3. Is there someone I need to forgive? 4. Have I stopped praying because my answer is delayed? 5. Do I genuinely trust God when His answer is different from what I expected? 6. Is my prayer life based on relationship with God or only on emergency needs? 7. What prayer have I abandoned that God may be asking me to continue bringing before Him? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. PRAYER FOR A DEEPER PRAYER LIFE Father, awaken in me a fresh hunger for prayer. Take away spiritual laziness and teach me to seek Your face consistently, in Jesus' name. 2. PRAYER FOR A PURE HEART Lord, search my heart. Reveal anything that is displeasing to You and give me grace to repent and walk in righteousness. 3. PRAYER FOR FAITH Father, increase my faith. When answers are delayed, help me trust You. When I cannot see the way, help me believe that You are still working. 4. PRAYER FOR GOD'S WILL Lord, deliver me from insisting on my own way. Align my desires with Your purpose and give me grace to say, “Your will be done.” 5. PRAYER FOR PERSISTENCE Father, give me strength not to faint in prayer. Help me continue believing until Your appointed time. 6. PRAYER FOR FORGIVENESS Lord, give me grace to forgive those who have hurt me. Heal my heart and remove bitterness from my spirit. 7. PRAYER FOR DIVINE ANSWERS Father, concerning every legitimate request I have brought before You, let Your perfect will be established. Open the right doors, close the wrong doors, and lead me according to Your purpose. 8. PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY Holy Spirit, teach me to recognize Your voice. Help me distinguish Your leading from my emotions, fears, and human desires. DON'T JUST PRAY—BUILD A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD Beloved, prayer is not a religious emergency button. Prayer is relationship. Do not wait until everything is falling apart before you seek God. Pray when you are happy. Pray when you are confused. Pray when you have money. Pray when you have nothing. Pray when the door opens. Pray when the door closes. Pray when you understand. Pray when you don't understand. And above all, pray with a heart that trusts God. Remember: A delayed answer is not necessarily a denied prayer. God's silence is not necessarily God's absence. God's “no” is not a rejection of you. And God's “wait” is not a waste of your time. There is a God who hears. There is a God who sees. There is a God who knows. There is a God who answers. So keep praying. Keep believing. Keep trusting. Keep walking with God. FINAL DECLARATION I will not give up in prayer. I will not allow delay to destroy my faith. I will seek God's face, not merely His hands. I will surrender my will to His will. I will forgive. I will believe. I will persevere.
