James 1:1-11 NKJV

James 1:1-11 JAMES, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad. Greetings,

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him,

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;

he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation,

but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.

For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat that it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.

Acts 12:16-19 Now Peter continued knocking; and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished,

But motioning to them with his hand to keep silent, he declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, "Go, tell these things to James and to the brethren." And he departed and went to another place.

Then, as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers about what had become of Peter.

But when Herod had searched for him and not found him, he examined the guards and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judea to Caesarea, and stayed there.

Matthew 7:7-14 "Ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks find, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

"Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

"Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

"Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets,

"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

"Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Mark 11:20-26 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered away."

So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.

"For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,'Be removed and be cast into the sea.' And does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive them, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

"But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."

James 4:6-11 But He gives more grace, Therefore He says; "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who evil speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

Job 14:1-6 "Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble.

He comes forth like a flower and fades away; he flees like a shadow and does not continue.

And do You open Your eyes on such a one, And bring me to judgement with yourself?

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!

Since his days are determined, The number of his months is with you; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass.

Look away from him that he may rest, Till like a hired man he finises his day.

James 1:1-11 KJV

James 1:1-11 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Je'-sus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Acts 12:16-19 But Pe'-ter continued knocking; and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.

But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold there peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place.

Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers what was become of Pe'-ter.

And when Her'-od had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Ju-dae'-a to Caes-a-re'-a, and there abode.

Matthew 7:7-14 Ask, and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you;

For every man that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

Enter ye in a the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way , that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat;

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Mark 11:20-26 And in the morning, as they passed by, the saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

And Pe'-ter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

And Je'-sus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any; that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

James 4:6-11 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resists the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw night to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; an purify your hearts, ye double minded.

be afflicted, and mourn, and weep; let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law; but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Job 14:1-6 Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.

He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down; he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

And doth thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringeth me into judgment with thee?

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hath appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

Turn from him, that he may rest, till he may accomplish, as an hireling, his day.

James 1:1-11 RSV

James 1:1-11 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelves tribes in the dispersion; Greeting,

Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trails,

for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness,

And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all men generously and without reproaching, and it will be given him.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

For that person must not suppose that a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways, will receive anything from the Lord.

Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation,

and the rich in his humiliation, because like the flower of the grass he will pass away.

For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.

Acts 12:16-19 But Peter continued knocking; and when they opened, they saw him and were amazed.

But motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison and he said, "Tell this to James and to the brethren." Then he departed and went to another place.

And Peter remembered and said to him, "Master, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered."

And Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God.

Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, "Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you receive it, and you will.

And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against any one; so that your Father also who in ins heaven may forgive you your trespasses."
