Seeds from the Garden
When the Storm Passes
Sometimes the hardest storms bring us closest to God — but when the rain fades, we often forget how to hold His hand in the sunshine.
Scripture:
“When you have eaten and are satisfied, be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God.”
— Deuteronomy 8:10-11
Reflection (The Seed):
In the middle of life’s storms, we cling to God with all our strength.
When thunder shakes our hearts, we pray harder, trust deeper, and depend fully on His mercy.
But when peace returns, it’s easy to drift — to set Him aside until the next storm rolls in.
Yet the Lord who shelters us in the rain is the same One who delights to walk with us in the calm.
He whispers, “Don’t just call on Me when the sky is dark. Walk beside Me when the sun shines also.”
True faith is not proven in chaos alone, but nurtured in the quiet that follows.
When we remember Him in peace, the next storm cannot shake us so easily.
Root Questions:
Have I drawn closer to God in the hard times than I have in the peaceful ones?
How can I keep walking with Him now that the storm has passed?
What daily prayer or act of gratitude can keep my roots strong in calm weather?
Closing Whisper:
“Even the calm is holy when walked with Me.”
