WHEN THE WORD FINDS ME WEARY

Psalms 34:18 "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit."

There are days when we don't know how to pray, days when all we can do is breathe, and that breath alone becomes a silent plea. Days when we open the Bible not out of habit or discipline, but out of sheer desperation, because something inside feels broken and worn down. And it's right there, at that fragile place, that God's Word finds you. Not to judge, not to demand strength we no longer have. It meets us the way only God can: gently, quietly, without condemnation. It looks back at us from the page like a Father who already knew what today would bring.

In moments like these, the power of Scripture isn't found in how much we read, but in how precisely it speaks. One single verse can do more than a thousand words of advice, one line from Him can steady what the world has shaken, because when you're crushed, you don't need noise, you need living truth. Psalms 34:18 says it clearly how close God is to those who are brokenhearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit. These decade has been harsh and many believers are weary, but God's promise still stands for you. Because when God's Word enters your pain, it doesn't ignore it, it fills it with hope. Today, don't try to fix it all, just open your heart wide enough for one line of light to get in. Let God speak to you through His Word, especially when you've run out of words for yourself.

PRAYER
God of mercy, here I am! Tired and without answers. Speak to me in the way only You can; with words that reach the depths without breaking me; with truth that gently settles over my weary soul. Let Your Word find me in the dust and remind me that even there, You still breathe life. I don't need to understand it all, I just need to know that You're here, that You're still speaking, and that one word from You is enough. In Jesus' name. Amen.
