π DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 309
DATE: 5TH NOVEMBER, 2025
TOPIC: REFLECTING CHRIST THROUGH CHARACTER
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 5:16 (KJV)
LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN, THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS, AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.
DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE:
As believers, we are called to be witnesses of Christ in every area of our lives — in our families, workplaces, communities, positions of leadership, relationships, and even in how we relate with one another. Being a Christian is not just a title; it is a testimony. The word Christian itself came from the word Christ, first used to describe the disciples in Antioch because people saw their boldness, faith, love, and character and concluded, “Surely, these have been with Christ.”
One of the greatest ways to reflect Christ to the world is through character — specifically the character of holiness and purity. God is holy, and since His Spirit dwells in us, we too must be holy in our conduct, our thoughts, and our speech. Holiness is not just about abstaining from immorality and fornication; it also includes living with integrity and truthfulness in all things.
Many believers have succeeded in avoiding outward sins but have compromised their integrity. They lie about their arrival times at work, make excuses when they fail to complete assignments, or twist words to cover their shortcomings. Yet, this same tongue that lies is the one they use to pray, declare healing, and command mountains to move. No wonder many prayers go unanswered — because the power of the tongue has been defiled.
True holiness touches every part of our lives — how we speak, how we work, how we treat others, and how we conduct ourselves when no one is watching. Our integrity is a reflection of our identity in Christ. When unbelievers see our honesty, humility, and consistency, they are drawn not to us but to the God we serve.
If we are to be true witnesses of Christ, then God must first work on our character. Before He sends us to represent Him, He dresses us with integrity, humility, and holiness so that our lives become living testimonies of His nature. Remember: the world listens most to how you live, not what you say.
PRAYER:
Father, help me to live a life that reflects Christ in every word and action. Purify my heart, my speech, and my conduct. Let my integrity reveal Your presence in me, that others may glorify You through my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
