THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SATURDAY NOVEMBER 8, 2025 THE SOVEREIGNTY AND UNCHANGING PURPOSE OF GOD  A WORD FROM THE WORD: "I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted." Job 42:2 NIV. As we pass through life's path, even as believing children of God, there is an extant reality that we should not allow to slip from our grip, that is, God's plan and purpose has never been thwarted and will never be thwarted by the aggression of Satan. Job, by the Holy Spirit's inspiration, in the context of our foundational Scripture made it clear. Peter, an apostle to the Lamb, and a core disciple of the LORD Jesus was a man endued with sterling leadership qualities in the early Church. The LORD Himself had discovered these qualities and announced that He would be given the keys of the kingdom of heaven, which is the authority to act on behalf of God. (Matthew 16:18-19). But Satan would not sit, fold his hands and see that come to pass; he already had the memo (as it were), and went on the onslaught even before the LORD's proclamation. Peter almost drowned until he cried out to the LORD, and He lovingly rescued him. (Matthew 14:22-32). May we not sink while passing through the turbulent waters of life and service, even in life-threatening situations, hardships, persecutions, tribulations, distress, etc. See, we have the promise of God's presence, as well as His assurance and ability to rescue us when we cry to Him like Peter did, 'LORD, save me' (Matthew 14:30); and because His Word says, '... everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.' (Acts 2:21 NLT). PRAYER BULLETS: LORD Jesus, thank You for Your plan and purpose for me that cannot be thwarted. Continue to save me by Your grace lest I sink. Make a name for Yourself in my life.
