PEACE IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7 NKJV.
From the context of our anchor Scripture, we are being introduced to the kind of peace that is beyond human understanding. It does not come from comfort, money, or circumstances, but the supernatural peace that comes from God only. This peace silences confusion, stills anxiety, and brings wholesome calmness to the storm within.
Paul, the apostle, though he was in prison but was inspired by God's Spirit to write about this peace that transcends all understanding. What this means is that your peace is not determined by who you are, but by Whose you are, and Who is with you.
When your mind dwells on the LORD Jesus, His peace becomes your security and guard, standing watch over your heart and mind.
If there be any manner of inner turmoil or anxiety you're battling with, it's biblically adviced that you hand them over to the LORD Jesus today. The peace He gives is greater than, and transcends your understanding and is stronger than your fears.
And while you're at it, please also realise and recognise that His peace doesn’t mean the absence of trouble, but the assurance of His presence in the midst of it.
PRAYER BULLETS:
Father LORD, I thank You for Your peace that exceeds anything that I can understand. Let it guard my heart and mind today as I live in You
FURTHER READING:
Mark 4:39; Psalm 46:1-3; John 16:33.
